About Banner Health

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for clients who require high-level supervision and support, including those stepping down from inpatient care or at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients requiring higher-intensity inpatient treatment will be referred. Clients engage in extensive individual, group, and family counseling drawing on proven modalites, including rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, recovery-focused life-skills training.

Their general outpatient program (OP) allows clients to continue working on their ongoing, lower-intensity addiction counseling, recovery education, and ancillary services.

Their aftercare programs enable a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include step-down support and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social services.

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center works with most major insurance plans, such as Aetna. They also accept Medicare, AHCCCS, and others. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary. Financial assistance is available.

Emergency department continues to not listen. I really do not know why I returned here knowing they do not listen. This specific hospital is a running joke with everyone I know. Drive down to Boswell or Thunderbird for ER. Nothing of value comes out of this facility.

I would not recommend this hospital at all. During our stay, there were a few friendly doctors but most were very dismissive and not very personable. It’s all just a money grab. They don’t inform you before doing things to you or your baby. I asked for clarification during the hearing test for my baby and the girl doing it was so mad I was questioning her at all. My husband and I were very upset with how she handled the situation and our baby. I have had the worst experience dealing with the billing side from the birth of our baby. I tried to dispute charges off our bill. The first person I spoke to about this was so unbelievably rude and left me in tears at the end. So unprofessional, especially for a newly postpartum mama. After that, a month later I find out he never submitted the disputing charges. Overall, I have been overcharged from my experience and no one is willing to make the proper corrections. My family and I will not be going back here.

Properly diagnosed health issue, but completely ignored the third degree burns that were presented simultaneously. Discharged and there was zero documentation about the burns, yet they sent us home with cream for the burns. Looking at records, they never documented the multiple third degree burns. Within a day of being home, these burns became infected and resulted in dibriding at another hospital, followed by skin grafts. It would be nice to have confidence in Banner treating and addressing ALL issues rather than selecting one. Unreliable care at Banner is not recommended.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

I went into the hospital 33 weeks pregnant high risk pregnancy difficulty breathing heart rate of 126 had severe cramping in my stomach. They pulled me back. Did an EKG said they were gonna show the doctor and then probably send me up to the OB/GYN center Well after hours and hours and hours of waiting they came back out and checked our vitals everybody in the waiting room and again my heart rate was all over the place then this young kid probably in his 20s came in slightly limping and was called back within 10 minutes. This has to be a joke because clearly nothing is broken. He’s walking. I just don’t understand how somebody that is high risk with a bunch of health issues isn’t seen before some young kid who is limping cause he pulled a muscle. I really used to like this hospital, but their emergency room is a fricking joke now.

My sister was on life support. The entire ICU staff who rendered care were professional, experienced, and compassionate at all times. She was treated with the best possible care and respect.

Response from the owner
Wow! We appreciate the kind words. Thank you.

The worst hospital ever you went to the emergency room over six hours waiting on my mom. She’s bleeding from inside and no one asked. Everybody came behind us. They went in. I don’t recommend it.

Beware! My grandfather has been here a week and it has been a terrible experience. His first few days in the ICU were good and he had great care. Then he was moved to the main part of the hospital. What I’ve witnessed has been a complete lack of care and dangerous practices. He clicks his help button and nobody shows up. He usually has to call someone in my family to drive down and find a nurse. He is at high risk for aspiration pneumonia and therefore has to be supervised while eating. At first he was supervised but now he is always left alone to eat. I asked when his meals come so I can supervise but I always get the same answer “I don’t know”. I informed them that in his chart it says he has to be supervised while eating but the problem persists. I’ve told multiple nurses and called the help line but I always get the same answer “I don’t know”. Additionally his IV was infiltrated and he had heparin leaking out of his skin. Despite the leak happening all night and his sheets being dirty nobody checked. I tried to figure it out and used the internet to see what it could be. I then informed the hospital staff what was happening and they finally fixed the IV. How does heparin leak from his skin all night and not a single person notices? Oh wait! The assistant noticed and did nothing about it. I have been trying to get to him to rehab as I do not trust this hospital, but there is always some excuse or delay despite the fact that he has been cleared to go. I feel unsafe with him in this hospital; I come for at least a few hours every day but I still worry. I have come to post this review in a desperate attempt to speak to somebody about his care. (I do have one positive note. One of his nurses a few days ago was fantastic. He is unfortunately not scheduled these days)

This is the worst hospital I have ever seen in my life. I have been to several in my life time. But I have never been left on the waiting room floor with a fever of 102.9, In DKA and a masive infection. THEY WILL LET YOU DIE THERE. I would have died if we did not go someplace else . I moved to Arizona a few months ago and 2 visits to Banner Del Web,,, NOT IMPESED, VERY DISAPOINTED IN THEIR CARE TACTICS.

I visited the ER this morning due to dizziness and balance issues. The care and compassion I received was remarkable! I was taken back to a room within 10 min of arriving. My Nurse Tony was outstanding. Not only his obvious compassion , but he took the time to explain everything in detail. I have never had such a kind and wonderful nurse. Eric the physical therapist was awesome as well! Caring and took his time with testing and explaining everything. Lastly Dr Dawson was another bright light in a scary visit to the ER. This all outshines a visit my husband had at Abrazzo West a couple of months ago. He was ignored and treated pretty poorly, especially by his ER nurse. If either of us are in need of medical attention in the future we will travel the extra miles to go Banner Del Webb!!

I have never in all my life had such poor care. I had surgery on my leg at another hospital and in less then 24 hrs went into Banner because my entire leg turned red all the way down to my toes. I had leakage from my foot. I was taken to the back and got an ultra sound and blood work. I've been in the hospital since 5pm and its now 1230 am and I'm still here. I haven't seen my doctor/PA in over 4hr. The only person helping is Deigo. I asked for pain medicine over and hour ago and still nothing. My sister is a medical doctor for many years and.is now a medical director for a very large insurance company and I know this has got to be the most unprofessional health care she has ever heard of. Leaving a patient to sit for over 5 hours and tell them your waiting on radiology is absolutely unacceptable. I'm still waiting to see the PA as I sit here writing this review. I'm going to news channel 5 to let them know how poorly I was treated. Not to mention im going to my insurance company Humana and making a complaint about your hospital.....

I had good Drs and nurses except one (that day was my release day. She left me there until 8:30-9p so by the time I got home it was around 10. The young gentleman who brought me down was AWESOME! Very nice & waited until the car got there and helped me in. A tech told me that there were rumors about me so that's why I laid their through breakfast lunch AND dinner, into late night. Didn't care for the nurses telling tales and leaving me there but telling me not to go into the dark at night and DO NOT be w/o my walker. Thankfully the Lyft driver got me to the door where my walker was inside.
