About Banner Health

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for clients who require high-level supervision and support, including those stepping down from inpatient care or at an elevated risk of relapse. Clients requiring higher-intensity inpatient treatment will be referred. Clients engage in extensive individual, group, and family counseling drawing on proven modalites, including rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and motivational interviewing. The program promotes clients’ sustained sobriety through robust, recovery-focused life-skills training.

Their general outpatient program (OP) allows clients to continue working on their ongoing, lower-intensity addiction counseling, recovery education, and ancillary services.

Their aftercare programs enable a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs and may include step-down support and referrals for additional medical, mental health, and social services.

Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center works with most major insurance plans, such as Aetna. They also accept Medicare, AHCCCS, and others. Contact your provider to verify coverage because out of network benefits can vary. Financial assistance is available.

Had a baby here - from pre-registration to c-section to recovery and our stay in couplet, everything went well and EVERY single nurse I was in the care of was just absolutely amazing. This wasn’t my first rodeo in having a baby, but my first at Banner and I think I found where all the good nurses work. Special thanks to Rowena and Traci in couplet, their wisdom and compassion just meant the world to making this a good experience. I cannot express enough how much their kindness, realness, and care meant to me.

My daughter almost died giving birth because the nurses did not take her serious. These nurses and doctors will adjust all attitudes and how they treat the younger mothers!

Other Forms of Payment

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

I came in to the ER two days ago with numb lips, left eye blurriness, left eye darkness, palpitations, blood pressure had spiked at home, brain felt like it was on fire, and bad brain fog. They checked my vitals and the doctor saw me for all of maybe two minutes and I didn't even get to explain everything that was going on. He did an eye pressure test which was normal and then said he'd be getting me a referral. Only after he left did I realize that I was getting discharged. I asked the nurse why my other symptoms weren't getting addressed and she said the main symptoms were addressed and he probably thinks the others can be handled outside of the hospital. My primary doctor was shocked! This was absolutely unacceptable. A CT scan at the very least should have been done. Instead, I had all I had was vitals and a quick eye pressure test. Wow.

This hospital time and time again, has been negligent in my care. I had a physician's assistant from neurology openly, disrespect me to my husband. Only because an ambulance took me there when I was unconscious did I end up back at Del Webb. I can say the nurses are nice, but the doctors are incompetent to save the least black, decent bedside manner and do not listen to patients or their needs.
