I highly recommend this office to anyone in the Boca area! Dr. Nasreen and Jean actually LISTEN to you, take your concerns seriously, and work with you to create a treatment plan moving forward. They’re both super personable, easy to talk to, and genuinely make you feel comfortable. And Amanda and Lakia at the front desk? BOMBBBB. 😂 They are always so welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The front desk can make or break a medical office experience, and these two definitely make it better! As for the 1-star reviews… listen, not every review deserves a standing ovation. 😂 Some of them seem like they were written by people who expect the medical field to operate like a fast-food drive-thru: “I want it MY way, and I want it NOW.” 😂 If you’ve ever actually worked in healthcare, you know there are protocols, insurance rules, medical judgment, and a whole lot happening behind the scenes that patients don’t always see. So take some of those reviews with a little grain of salt. My personal experience has been nothing but positive, and I’ve always felt listened to, respected, and cared for by this team. Definitely recommend!

I wanted to leave a five-star review for this practice. They are such a welcoming and kind group to all of their patients. Natalia and Chloe have been so kind in helping me get an appointment, even same day and always making it a seamless experience. They are both so personable and do a great job! I had my blood taken by Mel and again it was one of the least painful experiences I've ever had. There was literally no pain at all even when she inserted the needle. She was also very kind and made you feel at ease. I took a chance and saw the doctor that was recommended. Dr Sarwat Nasreen. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. She is so comforting and kind and makes you feel welcomed. Sometimes you could go see a new doctor and it could be very intimidating. This was not the case at all. If anyone is looking to try a new doctor, I would give my full recommendation. She always does what's right for the patient and she stays communicative when needed. You can ask her a lot of questions and she will always make you feel like she has time for you and not rushed. It is a great experience seeing her. Overall it is a fantastic practice!

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Update 2026: At some point in 2025, it appears a new company purchased this practice. Most, if not all, of the old doctors left and there is turnover with the newer doctors as well. Two doctors that I have seen recently have left in less than a year. I have decided to move on and have reduced my rating from 5 stars to 2 Initial review 4 years ago: I see Dr. Utemsingh. He is very compassionate and thorough. The premises are clean and I've never had to wait long before seeing the doctor. His assistant is excellent at drawing blood. You barely realize she's poking you with a needle. Extremely satisfied overall.

I am extremely concerned about my experience with Dr. Nasreen’s office. We scheduled an appointment for my husband, but the appointment was canceled and he was never seen. We later discovered information in his electronic health records indicating that he had been seen, had testing performed, and had been given a diagnosis. We only became aware of this after the diagnosis appeared through information connected to his Oura account. Naturally, I contacted the office because we wanted to understand how a visit, testing, and diagnosis could appear in his medical record when the appointment had been canceled and he was never evaluated. What made the situation even more concerning was the response from the office. Initially, I was told they had no record of this. When I continued asking questions and requested an explanation, the conversation became dismissive and rude, and the staff member ultimately hung up on me. This is not a minor customer-service issue. Accuracy of medical records is extremely important. If information has been entered into a patient’s medical record incorrectly, the patient deserves a clear explanation and prompt correction. At minimum, I expected the office to take the concern seriously, investigate what happened, and communicate professionally. Instead, we were left with unanswered questions about how a canceled appointment resulted in documentation showing a visit, testing, and a diagnosis that my husband says never occurred. We are requesting a full explanation and correction of any inaccurate information in his medical record. I would strongly encourage anyone using this office to review their medical records carefully for accuracy.
