These peer specialists have walked through similar experiences and can help guide you through your own struggles while cheering you on to keep your momentum.

Medication Assisted Treatment in Glendale

If you’re struggling with an opioid use disorder, you can get prescribed FDA approved medications like Suboxone, naltrexone, or methadone to help you manage cravings. You’ll work with your counselor to determine if this is an appropriate approach for you and how it will fit into your recovery plan.

MAT is also available for expectant mothers who enrolled in the Pregnancy Support Program. This allows you to focus on overcoming your cravings and addiction struggles so that you can prepare for this next chapter of your life.

The day I came to this clinic for me intake appointment just happened to be on a day where there was a company wide meeting or something going on in addition to a few other out of the norm things and it seemed at first they were going to ask me to come back another day. However, Tina, the main person working the front desk, moved a lot of stuff around and coordinated with a few other people and their schedules so that I could be seen that same day. In all honesty, I would have probably felt like they didn't care and I never would have come back if they had asked me to return another time. But, from that day forward I could tell that she really cared if I was there or not, and that really made a big difference.I had been to a similar facility a few years ago and the staff at that place (except for two of the counselors I met with) didn't seem like they cared either way, so I know the difference. My counselor, Eron, has also been instrumental in my continued attendance and interest in succeeding in the program. He is always available when I need him, and always does everything in his power too help me with what I need. He also seeks me out to check in on me.The office manager (title?) is very much so in tune with what is going on in the clinic, without cutting down the effectiveness of her staff with unnecessary micromanaging. However, when they, or one of the cllents needs something she is available, quick to act, reasonable, and helpful. The nurses are also great, and never make me feel judged for increasing. They are also quick and efficient. I am usually done at the window in 2-3 mins, but never feel rushed.Something about the system must be working because today is the first day I haven't used you know what in a very long, long, long time. Yet here I am with the energy and interest needed to write thus review. Anyone every trying to go without, knows just how big of a deal even some seemingly so small is. I am interested to see what the future will bring. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the facility is a bit antiquated to the point it just seems to be at that stage where it doesn't seem clean even when it is, and because of the strange scheduling approach to seeing a provider who seems only to see people via webcam but you have to be in the office to do it, as well as some minor administrative issues that are enough to be annoying, but not on an unmanageable level. But the sum of all the parts did result in losing that last star.

Accepted Insurance

Community Medical Services works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
aftercare iconAftercare Support
Rehab aftercare programs support clients' successful reintegration into their home, workplace, and community. Drug rehab aftercare presumes that recovery requires life-long support. These programs typically offer a wide variety of services customized for the clients' unique and evolving needs. Clients may receive vocational training and career counseling, housing assistance, legal aid, peer coaching, and 12 step program induction, among other services. Clients' case managers often play a lead role in rehab aftercare planning.
sober-living iconSober Living Homes
If you're struggling with adjusting to daily life after inpatient rehab, a sober living home in Arizona may be a good option. These residences offer an in-between option where you can practice the skills you learned in rehab in a structured, drug-free environment. This transition can help you prepare to face the "real world" after treatment. You'll live with others in recovery and follow house rules such as contributing to chores and paying rent.
heart-hands iconIntervention Services
If a person denies their substance abuse behavior when confronted one-on-one, a drug intervention in Arizona may be necessary. An intervention may be formally planned with intervention services from a professional who can guide loved ones through this process. The intervention involves confronting someone with how their drinking or drug use has affected themselves and everyone around them and encourages them to get treatment.
medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox
Drug and alcohol addiction often takes a heavy toll on one's body. Over time, a physical dependence can develop, meaning the body physiologically needs the substance to function. Detox is the process of removing drugs and/or alcohol from the body, a process that can be lethal if mismanaged. Medical detox is done by licensed medical professionals who monitor vital signs and keep you safe, healthy, and as comfortable as possible as you go through detox and withdrawal.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a therapy modality that focuses on the relationship between one's thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It is used to establish and allow for healthy responses to thoughts and feelings (instead of unhealthy responses, like using drugs or alcohol). CBT has been proven effective for recovering addicts of all kinds, and is used to strengthen a patient's own self-awareness and ability to self-regulate. CBT allows individuals to monitor their own emotional state, become more adept at communicating with others, and manage stress without needing to engage in substance abuse.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

The goal of motivational interviewing in Arizona is to enhance your confidence in your ability to make changes in your life. It encourages you to commit to change and plan for the process of making those changes that will allow you to reach your goals.

Trauma therapy focuses on helping you understand and manage emotional and physical responses to past trauma. Using therapeutic interventions, you learn to reframe the experience. This helps reduce your anxiety and gives you greater control over your life.

Residents of Arizona who are experiencing relationship problems may benefit from couples therapy. This form of psychotherapy helps couples express their feelings, resolve conflicts, and increase intimacy and affection.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

This place is such a great place. The two women at the front desk are very patient with everything that goes on throughout the day. Tina is very supportive and is always willing to help myself and other clients. My counselor Erin is also cool, he’s very understanding and helpful. No discrimination is ever felt.

I was going through an incredibly rough time, and Tina at the front desk stepped in and went above and beyond for me, even though she didn t have to. Her compassion and willingness to help stood out in a way I ll never forget. Despite the chaos of the moment and how much more challenging it made her day, she remained patient, understanding, and truly cared about my situation. What Tina did was not just kind it was extraordinary. In a world where going the extra mile is rare, Tina s actions remind me there are still amazing people out there who genuinely care. I am deeply impressed by her dedication and compassion and feel a profound sense of gratitude toward her. She didn t just do her job; she made a difference in my life, and I am forever in her debt.Tina at the front desk is, without a doubt, the best, and she deserves every bit of recognition. She gets an A+ and so much more in my book!EDIT:Just meet Tesha, and she was absolutely wonderful as well! So caring and sweet, what a great staff here.

I have been coming here for about two weeks now. This whole process is completely brand new to me and I was very nervous to begin it. So, with that being said, I wanted to come on here and let everyone at CMS Glendale, know how much I appreciate their hard work and kindness etc. First, Miss Tina, at the front desk, is absolutely awesome and I'm always greeted with a smile from her! I actually look forward to seeing her, when I come in every day. So, thank you Tina, for being such a ball of sunshine in my mornings and just a ball of sunshine, in general! I also wanted to give a shout out to my counselor, Terrel Scott! He is a great counselor. He has never made me feel awkward or judged. He makes me feel so comfortable, to be able to share whatever is on my mind that day, what is going on in my life at that time etc. That means an awful lot, especially, to someone like me, who is starting over in life and constantly feel like I am less than as it is. He has a heart as big as his smile, and I look forward to seeing him every week, as well! Thank you CMS Glendale, for making this new process to me, so easy and manageable! It means the world! 🥰🥰🥰

I've been coming here since September 18th. My first day, the 17th we, my husband and I, did our intakes at the cactus location. Every time I come in I'm always treated with kindness and respect. Everyone is great but Mary stands head and shoulders above the rest. That's funny cause she's short. I've been having problems with my insurance and Mary took it upon herself to go to bat for me. I will never forget that simple act of kindness and concern. I will probably not have the opportunity to pay it back but I will absolutely find a way to pay it forward Mary, that I promise you. God bless you and everyone at CMS.

Response from the ownerInvalid relative date format:
Hello Mari, thank you so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience. We're so happy to hear that you've felt treated with kindness and respect. Mary will be especially touched by your gratitude and promise to pay it forward. Thank you for choosing CMS!
