Genesys Hillside Center for Behavioral Services was an Ascension Genesys behavioral health center in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

The facility served adults managing substance use disorder along with co occurring mental health conditions blending psychiatric care, therapy and recovery support.

Before closing its approach reflected a whole person model aimed at helping people build coping skills and recovery oriented life skills.

Care for Substance Use and Mental Health

I like that the center’s core focus was outpatient behavioral health including an intensive outpatient program designed for people navigating substance use disorder and a co occurring condition.

Treatment combined psychiatric evaluation with individual and group therapy to address both your addiction and underlying mental health concerns.

Staff also connected patients with post treatment community resources including peer support groups, food assistance and transitional housing.

Family Involvement and Recovery Support

Beyond offering clinical care the program emphasized recovery life skills and community connection.

Family involvement in treatment was permitted with patient consent supporting a more collaborative path through recovery.
