Ita a nice property and the staff are amazing Derek Hansen 7 months ago It would be dramatic to say that Spirit Mountain Recovery saved my life, BUT they did provide the compass and leadership that lead me along the path to self discovery and healing I so desperately needed to actually begin living life. The staff are almost entirely in recovery themselves or have worked in that field for many years, and most of those in recovery (all but one FT staff member) went through Spirit Mountain. As such, they were not only qualified to light the way but have also lived the journey firsthand and so were able to easily see the pitfalls and challenges that inevitably present themselves and demonstrated daily how to navigate them effectively. All of the activities were ultimately based on learning to live a satisfying life of recovery--living with purpose and joy through connection, willing honesty, and discomfort (where growth happens) without the need for substances to alter what I am truly feeling and thinking in the moment. Being active is an important aspect of the experience at Spirit Mountain, and for me that was hugely beneficial because my addictions sucked all of the pleasures of life from me, I no longer desired to do anything but feed the beast. He was fine besides that, though. Love the techs and nurses and staff. I also thought it strange that they didn’t let people change therapists when they asked to. I had tried different forms of assistant for 3 years to no avail. Donny Wheat made it a point to sit with me prior to my deciding to go and explained everything in detail leaving me with no questions and even gave me a tour of the place same day. When I was hesitant, telling him all the things I need to tie up prior to me going he said he’d make sure everything was taken care of and he could help me with anything. Veronica was my therapist and after cycling through multiple therapist I felt this was the first true fit. She was very intentional and I could tell she listened to me deeply. I found myself feeling comfortable sharing where that has never been the case for me. The food was great and I really created a family there and we still stay in contact. I've been on methadone before and tried getting off it cold turkey and if I can give any advice don't! Be patient and do it slow by tappering and just trust the program, I went two months in complete hell withdrawing that was beyond fun, I tried going to my original clinic but they couldn't take new patients so I came here, Mary is my counselor and she made me feel very respected and she was extremely caring and listened and just made the whole process very easy, I highly recommend this clinic if you are struggling and need help, utah is extremely hard getting this kind of help and its hard finding people who actually care and listen, dr Stephen is also very compassionate and listen as well, thanks for all your help I feel my life already getting back on track. I've been treated with respect and the supportive environment has been vital to my recovery. Everybody working there is there because they want to be. Because they genuinely care and want to help you. There's accountability when I need it without feeling judged. My counselor Caitlin is one of the best people I've ever met. Her warmth makes her easy to talk to. She's so smart and she's great at helping with addiction issues. Whether it's a quick hello or she's checking in with me to see how I'm doing. This place WILL help you ... while there is no silver bullet cure the facility in Layton has the knowledge and experience to treat each patient just as the individual benefits the most from. I will note it took me going to the Brighton inpatient facility in south Ogden first and following up here to make a difference. My life has completely changed for the better. Alli it's been one of the best therapist I have gone to. She always tells you what you need to hear not like others that say what you want to hear. She's kind and listens to you and at the end of the sessions she always makes sure you leave with a goal in mind. I couldn't have asked for a more positive experience for my daughter that was having struggles starting at a very young age. How grateful we are that we found this gem right here in Preston. Our family has extensive experience with rehabilitation facilities. Two of our sons have been through many programs - we have done the research, tried them, and paid for them. It would be dramatic to say that Spirit Mountain Recovery saved my life, BUT they did provide the compass and leadership that lead me along the path to self discovery and healing I so desperately needed to actually begin living life. The staff are almost entirely in recovery themselves or have worked in that field for many years, and most of those in recovery (all but one FT staff member) went through Spirit Mountain. As such, they were not only qualified to light the way but have also lived the journey firsthand and so were able to easily see the pitfalls and challenges that inevitably present themselves and demonstrated daily how to navigate them effectively. All of the activities were ultimately based on learning to live a satisfying life of recovery--living with purpose and joy through connection, willing honesty, and discomfort (where growth happens) without the need for substances to alter what I am truly feeling and thinking in the moment. Being active is an important aspect of the experience at Spirit Mountain, and for me that was hugely beneficial because my addictions sucked all of the pleasures of life from me, I no longer desired to do anything but feed the beast. I highly recommend considering Spirit Mountain Recovery if you desire to find out once again, or possibly for the first time, what life can and should be lived like.

My overall experience at Brighton was amazing, I'm so deeply grateful for everyone at the South Ogden location. The staff and residents have cultivated an environment that truly supports growth and I left feeling deeply fulfilled. I went in with the mindset "I have to get sober" and left with "I get to be sober." They showed me life can be enjoyed, just just endured. Not white knuckling my way every second of my life. For anyone considering this step, you truly get out what you put in. If you come in surrendered, open, and willing to accept the process, the reward is life changing, I promise with all my heart. Taking that step requires immense vulnerability, but at Brighton, that vulnerability is matched by a team that genuinely cares. The head nurse, Siobhan, was a true blessing, my therapist Shawn was amazing, and the technician staff were all fantastic. It is so important to be surrounded by people who are passionate about their work, and that is exactly what I felt every day. I really appreciated the balanced program they offer combining deep group therapy and individual one-on-one sessions with holistic activities like spirituality, exercise, art, and outdoor time. While there were a few days where communication felt a little disconnected, the team overall stayed completely on top of the program and delivered a remarkably strong experience. I’m sharing this because deciding to enter recovery can be terrifying. I hope my experience can be a beacon of hope for someone else standing on the edge of that choice... Take the leap. I had a pretty tame experience here except for when my therapist Weston suggested that me being SAed was a propelling factor to me being transgender even though I already told him I was out of the closet before that happened. He was fine besides that, though. Love the techs and nurses and staff. I also thought it strange that they didn’t let people change therapists when they asked to. But yeah it was clean and there was a lot to do and I really liked having a radio.

The faculty and this facility changed my life for the better. I had tried different forms of assistant for 3 years to no avail. Donny Wheat made it a point to sit with me prior to my deciding to go and explained everything in detail leaving me with no questions and even gave me a tour of the place same day. When I was hesitant, telling him all the things I need to tie up prior to me going he said he’d make sure everything was taken care of and he could help me with anything. Veronica was my therapist and after cycling through multiple therapist I felt this was the first true fit. She was very intentional and I could tell she listened to me deeply. I found myself feeling comfortable sharing where that has never been the case for me. The food was great and I really created a family there and we still stay in contact. I highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling.

I've been on methadone before and tried getting off it cold turkey and if I can give any advice don't! Be patient and do it slow by tappering and just trust the program, I went two months in complete hell withdrawing that was beyond fun, I tried going to my original clinic but they couldn't take new patients so I came here, Mary is my counselor and she made me feel very respected and she was extremely caring and listened and just made the whole process very easy, I highly recommend this clinic if you are struggling and need help, utah is extremely hard getting this kind of help and its hard finding people who actually care and listen, dr Stephen is also very compassionate and listen as well, thanks for all your help I feel my life already getting back on track.

This is a safe place to go for help. The counselors, nurses, reception, the doctor and even the other patients are wonderful. I've been coming here for over 6 months. I've been treated with respect and the supportive environment has been vital to my recovery. Everybody working there is there because they want to be. Because they genuinely care and want to help you. There's accountability when I need it without feeling judged. My counselor Caitlin is one of the best people I've ever met. Her warmth makes her easy to talk to. She's so smart and she's great at helping with addiction issues. Whether it's a quick hello or she's checking in with me to see how I'm doing. I always look forward to seeing her when I come in to dose.

This place WILL help you ... while there is no silver bullet cure the facility in Layton has the knowledge and experience to treat each patient just as the individual benefits the most from. I like the place. The people are nice. My psychiatrist is Cassi Cluff and she's great. She listens well without criticism or judgement. She offers good ideas and support and she helped me find a grief clinic to help me with my grief after my mom passed away from Alzheimer's. I can actually vent without worrying that I'm talking her ear off. I feel like that a lot lately. I would recommend her to others

Can I just say that I have been with DBH for quite awhile now and I love my therapist Andi, she has help me in so many ways and is always there when I need her. Another shout out to Natalee, she is amazing and has help me out just as much, she has been by my side throughout my tough journey. These ladies are amazing, I wouldn’t want anyone else. 😁 Keep up the great work.

This facility is amazing and life changing. I will note it took me going to the Brighton inpatient facility in south Ogden first and following up here to make a difference. My life has completely changed for the better. I had been seeking help for 3 years prior and nothing seemed to work. I was truly at a loss and this was a last ditch effort. I am thankful for Donny Wheat who was so quick to meet me same day I showed interest and had questions about the facility. He has been there every step of the way. I had not had to make any decisions alone nor was I left with any questions. You can tell how much he cares not just about his job but about each individual he comes into contact with. My therapist Becca has been the best therapist I have ever had. It took a few weeks to build a connection but now I feel like she SEES me. She understands me like no other therapist has. I have never felt emotional during a session and lately my sessions are healing parts of me I didn’t know were still unhealed. Amy is super wonderful and knowledgeable and she even runs the alumni group on thursdays. She will make a great SUDC one day! Thankful for this facility. I finally have hope for my future. Highly recommend.

Best program I’ve ever been a part of! They truly care about your recovery and mental health and help you to understand how they are interconnected and how to treat both. They’re not perfect but are always listening to feedback and making improvements. I can’t recommend their PHP and IOP programs enough! Shout out to Keenan who helped me tremendously and has inspired me to go into this field to help others.

I've been a patient for years and it was quite the rollercoaster ride for the first few years while I was fighting my addiction but NO MATTER WHAT the staff was ALWAYS there for me in whatever area of my addiction and recovery I was in every single staff member that I worked with was there to help me from my darkest and worst days to my brightest and best days nobody ever made me feel like they turned their back on me or had given up me as long as I kept showing up and just kept putting in the work to be successful they all have had my back through it all so here I am 8 months into my recovery and going strong but it's not only me but my man as well we did it together and have BAART to thank for a HUGE part of our success... So to the entire staff at the Ogden, UT BAART Program, Thank you from the bottom of my heart you have helped me accomplish something in my life I NEVER thought was possible!!!
