I've been at tamarack for a while now both with one on one therapy and alcohol treatment...it's a breath of fresh air, to have a place that not only understands that life happens and self care is important but that we are all imperfect in our own ways. They dig deep in getting to know you, your childhood - adult years to better establish the core beliefs and root causes of your issues. Hi, I am a former resident of Turning Winds. I consider myself lucky to have landed in the care of this facility as there are so many terrible ones out there. The facility is beautiful and the staff is dedicated to the well being and success of each child. They take extra special care of the family system as a whole. Some programs focus just on the child, TWAI knows the importance of a healthy family system. The Baisden's and team have dedicated their lives to help teenagers redirect and change the direction of their decisions and their lives. Its been 22 years since I attended TW and I still consider them a resource and my family. Recently, I went back to visit and I was taken back to my time at TW. One thing I wish I could have done as a teenager, that as an adult I have never had the chance to do again, was slow down and focus on myself without influence and outside distractions. OUR SONS & FAMILY EXPERIENCE WAS GREAT!!!! I read the reviews before we committed to sending our son, who was 15 at the time and I was looking for his third treatment center. The reviews weren’t good (most of those reviews we read aren’t real) but we touched base with Turning Winds who gave me several contacts of former parents to call and ask for their personal experiences, which were all raving reviews. Our son was dealing with anger, depression, ODD, drugs and alcohol and several instances with suicidal thoughts. Trust me when I say he may have been one of the hardest projects taken on by Turning Winds. The patience given by the staff was incredible. My son thought he would just show his anger and scare everyone to get kicked out of the program, but little did he know he was dealing with the pros. Thankfully, he was given a second chance and the whole team committed to helping our son, fully understanding the huge undertaking it would be. Our experience with working with all of the staff was great! Our son graduated after a year in the program, and when he started to turn the corner and show he could respond consistently, he started to create bonds with the staff and still reaches out to check in on them and update them with how he’s doing at home. The location played is big roll for our decision. The mountains, rivers and lakes are truly incredible! Our son loves to fish and was able to do so on the property and taken out several times by the staff to fish some of the amazing lakes and rivers in Montana! There’s a ski resort about an hour away that the staff will take the kids to during the winter, which we were really excited for him to experience skiing in the real mountains. We also spent time visiting our son and taking him to some awesome locations like Glacier National Park to hike and fish. The reason I’m spending as much time as I am writing this review is because of how much we loved the program and staff at Turning Winds. The work to be put in was all our son’s choice, and that’s when he started to progress. This process continues outside of the program and in his life going forward, but the internal growth and maturation he experienced came with the work he put in and allows him to be proud of himself. We realize that there isn’t a switch they help to flip for our son, he’s not 100% better when he graduates and the work needs to continue. He now has the confidence and tools to be able to process mentally now issues he couldn’t handle. This change in our son is only due to Turning Winds and the dedication they gave our son and family to help and we will be forever grateful to the program!!!

I have been off of pain meds for 12 yrs now. I have never even been tempted to go back to them. It was killing my family and myself. It been easy for me to do what needs to be done when going to a clinic!! The place I was at for 10 yrs couldn’t keep counselors due to pay, insurance and they’d find something better, I had a lot of different counselors because of that, but I never faltered. I did what I was suppose to do. The people at this clinic are absolutely wonderful! They hard friendly, honest, and they truly care! I have gotten attached to all of them. They felt like home for me, I going to have a hard time leaving them due to moving very soon!! I’m m already sad about it. When you walk through those doors, you need to have your mind made up that you’re ready for their help. They’ll be there every step of the way. Just be honest and do what you’re supposed to do to do. The most amazing people work here. There isn’t one bad thing I can even see with this place. It’s very easy. Go in with the mindset of it being the first day of your new life. These amazing people will help you through it all, just be honest and go by the rules. I’m truly going to miss every person I have dealt with here, especially my counselor and the young lady who did the front desk then became a counselor!!! I love them all! This is super long but please read it! If it helps one person it's well worth it. I have been a patient at Community Medical Services since 2013. The staff has always done everything they can to help myself and others in the most professional and empathetic manor possible. This facility is intended to help those who have substance abuse problems, transition to medically supervised medications that simulate street drugs in a way where you don't have to worry about overdose, poisoning and death. They utilize the latest substance abuse alternative medicines, allowing you to function on a day-to-day basis without wondering how you're going to make it/score that day. I walked in needing help, and they provided aid for me on my road to recovery. Eventually, giving me all the necessary tools to navigate life and make it's a life worth living. Where I once was lost with no way out, I now have own a business for over 10 years and raised a child who has never seen me intoxicated on drugs. Great experience!! The staff here is amazing which makes a major difference when starting and continuing your recovery journey. All of the staff here in Spokane are compassionate, well educated, empathetic and understanding while going through treatment. I had an amazing experience here. I’m visiting from Boise and had a bit of a dental emergency, and the entire team was incredibly kind and accommodating. From the front desk to the hygienist to the dentist, everyone made me feel comfortable and cared for. I have some dental anxiety, but they really helped put me at ease and everything went smoothly. I’m so grateful they were able to help me. Highly recommend!

The staff called me horrible names for wanting to go higher on my methadone which was what I agreed to do with my methadone counselor before going to ABHS. My methadone counselor dropped me on my dosage and told me I can go back up once I go to inpatient and get clean U.A's. The ABHS staff told me I wasn't allowed to increase my methadone dose which is completely illegal to so I found out. They bullied me and be littled me. Mrs.T lied to me about things. Mrs.Brunette called me a junkie bitch. A few days after this, I tried to leave when I was court ordered to stay so I went to jail for a year and got out and relapsed. This place discouraged me. I finally got back on the methadone clinic after relapsing and have been clean for a year and a half. ABHS should be shut down. The staff called me names infront of other inpatients and staff members and made me cry and feel embarrassed. Horrible program. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

Ok... Let's start with the obvious and the easiest way to my heart .. the kitchen and the chefs... Yes I said chefs. The food here was the type that if you saw it on a menu at a restaurant you would think you couldn't afford it... It was literally that good. And the kitchen staff were an absolute joy. Second... My treatment team... Dr. Sloan and therapist Katy.... I honestly cannot say enough about them. The facility is not funded nor designed for long term care... They not only understood my need for further care, they also advocated for a longer stay with my insurance as well as led me to pathlights program for further care in a php program in San Antonio. They went out of their way to facilitate and insure my transfer, acceptance and travel to the facility. I am now five weeks into my php and, although hard at times, I am finding the proper tools to deal with my PTSD and grief that logan health helped begin. I will never be able to thank my team enough. As well as nurses like Stefan and others I can't remember their names. I would be remiss not to mention Kelsi... The logan health superhero. What she did for me on her own time and of her own free will and obvious compassion, went so far above and beyond her job description that it's difficult to convey with mere words. For a man with no reason to live when I entered the facility.... I am beginning to see some light at the end of a very dark tunnel and I have logan health and my team and wonderful staff to thank for every bit of it. I hope they will read this and understand the true scope of impact they had on my road to recovery. God bless you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!

In a point in my life where I was planning to end my life, my primary provider calmly but firmly said I needed to check into an inpatient facility. I was taken to Logan Behavioral Health. From the moment I walked in every staff member was truly kind and caring. Very quickly the Dr that was assigned to me diagnosed me with PTSD. Most of my previous prescriptions were not made for PTSD. By the time I was discharged, I was stable and had tools to help me cope with the long process that I'm facing. From the Dr to the nurses to the pharmacist to MHS to HUC to the cooks and housekeeping, I can't express enough how much support and kindness they provided. It's truly an amazing facility focused on each patient. The food was excellent and the facility was always clean. Thank you all for what you do.
