New Horizons Care Center has been a lifesaver — and Dustin deserves major recognition.
I came in overwhelmed, trying to balance a new travel-heavy job while staying compliant with probation and UA requirements. Instead of taking my money and rushing me through intake, the front desk told me to hold off until we could confirm the program would actually work for my situation. That alone showed honesty and integrity.
When Dustin called, he didn’t give me a generic answer. He listened, asked the right questions, and walked me through what could be done. My case wasn’t routine, but he still said, “We’ll figure it out.” By the end of that call, he took me onto his caseload, and for the first time in a long time, I felt real hope.
Other facilities either didn’t offer telehealth or shut me down with quick “no, we can’t do that” responses. Dustin took the opposite approach — he cared, he problem-solved, and he helped me build a plan that kept my job on track while still meeting every treatment and probation requirement. After 25+ years of dealing with addiction programs, I have never felt this level of genuine care.
Huge thanks also to Chris, my telehealth counselor, who treated me like an individual and helped me find workable solutions so I never had to miss class or work.
And to the amazing woman who helped me get medical insurance — you went above and beyond, spending over two hours on the phone with me and providers so I wouldn’t be crushed by financial stress. I’m sorry I don’t remember your name, but I won’t forget what you did for me.
If you need a team that truly cares and actually helps you move forward, New Horizons — especially Dustin — is the place to go. Highly recommend.

Ask for Heidi. She IS what this business is all about. She truly has been a blessing and I am so grateful for her guidance and relatable feedback!
I consider myself very lucky to have ended up in her office for my assessment. (I truly believe it was not “by chance” and was no “accident”).
I say that because, in my experience, my success relied primarily on my ability to connect with my treatment provider. It played an essential part of my willingness to see things through and to fully open up. I needed to feel I was in a safe space. With someone who I could trust. Someone who I believed had my best interests in mind. Someone I felt had a genuine desire to aid in my recovery.
I proudly admit that she checked each and every one of those boxes. I had an instant connection with her and feel it remained that way, consistently, throughout the entirety of my treatment.
I owe her a giant “thank you” for her constant kindness, for her unique approach, and for her continued wisdom and encouragement.
She is an incredible asset to this field and the way that she genuinely care for those still suffering is inspiring and remarkably beautiful.
10/10 RECOMMEND!

Spokane, WA | The partial hospitalization program generally offers up to 30 hours of treatment per week. Individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, and couple’s counseling are provided. Clients meet for four to six hours at a time. Sessions are held five to six days each week. Brene Brown’s work is also provided at this level of care. The intensive | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I first found breakthrough in 2023, and the program was so great. I left feeling motivated to change, unfortunately life caught up to me and I didn’t use the many tools, resources and education they provided when I left and needed to return in 2025. They welcomed me back with no judgement and gave me the opportunity to grow once again. The counselors are all amazing, and they have the ability to guide you but also hold you accountable all while being supportive and genuinely caring. This place saved me, by giving me the confidence in myself that I can live a sober and joyful life. The many people I met throughout the program were a bright spot during my time there. Being able to meet people from all different backgrounds, but all having the common struggle with the disease humbled me and allowed so much growth to learn but also build genuine connections and friendships. It is hard work, and the need to take accountability for my own actions is what is needed to succeed, but Breakthrough was the place I felt most safe, seen and heard to accomplish a sober life. Forever grateful!

Breakthrough has been an amazing resource for me. They were able to help arrange a payment plan, and the groups are very beneficial to my recovery. The counselors are all kind and invested in helping their clients. Highly recommend to anyone ready to achieve and maintain sobriety. They offer various levels of treatment from PHP to Outpatient services.
Also, forewarning: they will hold you accountable. You may think your disease is "not that severe," or you can "control" it, but that's part of the disease. You have to be ready and willing because they expect your sobriety as part of the treatment. You dont get "kicked out" for relapsing. I knew multiple people with multiple relapses who continued to participate. You may be recommended to another facility for higher level of care if you CONTINUE to use after a relapse or multiple relapses with no improvement, as you are no longer suitable for outpatient care. Your care is discussed amongst staff meetings as a care team approach is generally recommended for this type of treatment; that is not a HIPAA violation as you agree to this when signing up.
EDIT: I was just discharged from treatment today. I have been sober for over 9 months, and I have Breakthrough to thank for this. They ensured proper continuity of care and referrals for mental health counselling. They made it known I can always reach out to them if needed despite completing my care here. Again, as I said, this program works. It's not easy, and you have to work with them. This isn't suitable for everyone as some people require higher level of care if they cannot stop use, and Breakthrough is honest about individual client needs. I recommended this to anyone who qualifies for Partial Hospitalization or lower level of treatments.

Genuinely fantastic. It's been some 560 days since I was released. I stayed for a total of 228 days (around 7 months) and throughout that time, the help from the structured schedule, supportive staff, thoughtful and professional clinical team, and talented chefs all enabled me to learn how to live again.
Before Tamarack, I was deeply struggling. I'm talking difficulty with personal hygiene, severe depression and anxiety, oversensitivity, overthinking, and serious spiraling among other things.
I learned how to cope with my feelings, interact with others again, make thoughtful decisions, how to set boundaries, and in a general sense, how to live again.
During my stay, I lost around 50 lbs, learned more about myself than I had ever previously, made friends, was taught a helpful therapy type called DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), learned how to properly advocate for myself, and started reforging relationships with my family.
The programs included off campus outings that you could earn by having a high enough rating in their behavior system, fun recreational activities, group activities such as creating posters or masks, and time to enjoy hanging out with other clients.
They have a privelage system in place that you are able to make (I believe they are called) Monitors for certain things in your room (lamps, white boards, loom supplies, knitting, crochet, etc, etc).
When I was there, there were weekly meetings that the millieu would come together and discuss issues, achievements, and the general well-being of the community in a client council. You were able to run for positions in the council, such as president and treasurer.
The treasurer would manage funds and a client run candy and beverage shop. You can fill out requisition forms to ask for certain things to be bought (books, a game etc, etc) or for a change to be made (I asked for a golden perler head minion I made to be hidden around the building in an elf-on-the-shelf type game). School there was online school.
Each day you could earn tickets to use at the end of the week at a school store. Other than showing up each day, you can get tickets from doing a daily word research activity (you find a word, write the definition, and use it in an example sentence), or from scoring high enough on tests. The food was good, clients get a full meal 3 times a day and snacks 2 or 3 times a day, if I remember correctly.
The outings, depending on the season, could include hikes, plays, movies, pumpkin picking, or even Silverwood!
Clients are also able to make a monitor to have a contract with Tamarack and get paid for cleaning around the building. It's very nice.
All in all, I really loved my stay. It helped me out of the hole I was in and enabled me to start living my life. Right now, I'm a senior in high school, helping out with my school's student government, helping plan and create events and monthly themes, exploring my interests, and making significant progress in my life.
I understand that not everyone will have had the same experience, but, in my personal opinion, if you really give this a try, you go as all out as you can, and you open yourself to change and get along with the staff and program, you can go very, very far.

Spokane, WA | The intensive outpatient program provides individual counseling, group counseling, family counseling, and couples counseling. I just read the reviews for this place and allow me to retort.
First off this place saved my life. I checked into ABHS not knowing the program, their reputation, or the temperament of the staff.
The staff are a simply amazing!! Ms. B, Ms. Patrick, Ms. Moore, Ms. Womack, Mr. Torres, Mr. Van B., Mr. Prutsman, Ms. Wolf, Mr. Torres, Mr. Cuastic, Ms. Standfield, Ms. O’Brien, Mr. Guy, Ms. Aguilar, Ms. Dobins, Ms. Hamilton, Mr. Hirtch, Ms. Brown, Ms. Chichester, Ms. Wagner, the 3 Mr. Gs, Ms. Pagan, Mr. O, Mr. Hemple, Mr. Dock, Ms. Sumptner, Ms. Bopa, Ms. Wilamu, Ms. Garcia, Ms. Fouler, Ms. Lee, Ms. Karris, Ms. Davy, Ms. Nguyen, Mr. Cooper, and to any of you that I am forgetting I want to tell you all that I will always remember you all. You all were my rock when I needed it, you called me on my sh!t, helped me grow and learn, and got me started on my path to sobriety.
Ms. Standfield there are no words, you were my life coach, my safe place, someone who I admire, someone I want to be like, and you don’t do it for praise or fame. You took me under your wing, gave me so so so many gold nuggets to put in my backpack you made me rich. You are wicked smart and taught me how my childhood trauma affected me and how to not be victim to it anymore. When the student is ready……the teacher presents themself.
Mr. Van B., Ms. Brown, Ms. Davy, Ms. Chichester, and Mr. Prutsman you are fair, just, straight forward, honest, and forgiving. You showed me compassion, empathy, support, guidance, gave me second chances, and did not let me self destruct. You all are the best example of what true leaders are really are. For those reviews that try to disrespect and put a stain on all the good you do well they are absolutely wrong.
To those that have anything negative to say about this place well some of your expectations are a bit far fetched. First don’t bring a child to see their parent in rehab. It’s traumatizing and that trauma causes addiction so way to go. Also no you can’t leave rehab and go to the store to buy contraband. You could have brought drugs into rehab causing a relapse or a overdose. What gives you the right to miss treat the staff and expect them to take it and allow you to stay. All of these behaviors are of someone not willing to commit to being sober. If you can’t learn to behave like normal people and follow rules in a safe place how can you expect to do that in the real world.
My point is this the program at ABHS is working for those that want to be sober. I have been to rehab 3 times and I just graduated on 6/18 and it’s the last time I am ever going to rehab because this place taught me how to stand up on my own two feet get past my abuse, my low self astern, looking for my worth from others, and help shape me into the man I am today.
Sure rehab has rules some of them may seem weird or even dumb at times but they are there to teach you to retrain you to prepare you as best they can so when you walk out of their doors into the real world you are ready to succeed at a sober life.
For those that got booted you know what if you would have apologized taken your lumps and showed that you were truly sorry for your acts they would have allowed you back in. ABHS doesn’t say no to anyone. They let you come back again and again. This is a good place run by people that are trying to save people’s lives. They’ve seen everything that you can think of and do the best they can. However, we as addicts have to meet them halfway if we don’t want it, what they teach won’t stick and we won’t be prepared and we will go back in use. It’s up to us to choose the right thing to make good choices and to heal if that’s what you want then this is the place you wanna go to because they will make sure with every fiber of their being to try and help you to teach you to show you empathy and compassion, in your darkest moment they are the light that guides you to a path of sobriety. And anyone says different than they weren’t ready to be sober in the first place.

Seriously don't even waste your time with this clinic! Find a better Dr. office! I'm an MA and work in a clinic and never have I seen such a gross level of incompantce They won't return phone calls in a timely manner, tranafer you to voicemail, they loose faxes, and don't prioritize patient care. I have showed up to appts on-time or early only waiti 45 mins for my apt and also I have been waiting on a referral for 4 months. Autumn is beyond clueless and has absolutely no clue what she's doing. I could go on and on about how this is hands down one of the worst clinics I have ever experienced in both my professional and personal life.

The program includes aftercare support, individual counseling, holistic therapies and more. Innercept is located at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Innercept is dedicated to provide treatment for individuals with a mental health diagnosis. The compa | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Well, I’m a special teacher in the morning for College and A licensed marriage family, and therapist at night for myself. Let me tell you this is the most amazing place. This place let me sleep at night. I could sleep at night because the care at this facility was above and beyond. My child carries many diagnosis. She was adopted at birth and has been through trauma in utero exposure, and her birth parents had mental illness. This place had amazing staff and protocol for a gentle way to help a young teenagers self regulate. We were able to receive trauma counseling, individual counseling family therapy, and my child’s medication’s were finally working for her thanks to this place and the changes they made. Her therapist was so experienced and on target and helped not only my child heal, but the continuation of our family healing as we had a crime in our house by a trusted neighbor of five years. Little by little self harm stopped or reduced little little hospitalizations reduced and got father apart. They help my child go to school for three hours a day on site. my child enjoyed the cows across the street. They went above and beyond for my child 16th birthday. Not only is this place, professional detailed and oriented towards child centered complex cases. The staff have a heart and give more than 100%. Our school district had to work with them even though they’re not California approved. I was very worried and asked for three parent recommendations before I even placed my child in this program. As you know, if you’re reading this review, you’re making one of life’s hardest decisions and one that you never wanted to make. All the best - I am glad there are programs like this, and I hope they stay in business forever. One satisfied, grateful parent who was in tears when my child was ready to move to the next level due to progress-scared that the next program may not match the quality of this program. Warm wishes on your journey as a parent in this hard process

When you only have one option for your child the level of trust, you have to have in a program (2000 plus miles away)like this is extremely nerve-racking.
And no, it doesn’t stop.
But it does diminish when you feel you are in the right place.
No program is perfect.
But these people seem to really care about the child.
Have no illusions that there will be peaks and valleys with your child.
But I have the trust that Innercept always has a child and the family‘s best interest to resurrect any issue.
Innercept tries to attack the root cause before the issue, not the issue after the fact.
Beautiful location, lots and lots of prairie dogs, and a very solid program.

So I didn’t realize how much this program would help until I began to actually implement the behaviors. It wasn’t easy but you can change too. The reason I was admitted was able to be changed. Years then to now their therapy still enables me to communicate confidently. These people really know how to implement change for yourself to have the rest of your life to live.

As a caregiver who regularly brings veterans to this facility, I’m extremely frustrated by the treatment they receive, particularly from the reception staff. The veterans are treated poorly, but it’s even more concerning that the receptionists themselves are being treated unfairly by their own supervisor. This was especially evident on Friday, when tensions seemed higher and the lack of respect and support for the workers was more apparent. It creates a toxic environment that affects both the staff and the veterans. It’s disheartening to witness both the veterans and employees being treated so poorly. Veterans deserve better care and respect, and workers deserve to be treated fairly. I wouldn’t want to work in such an environment.

Just the best. As a young female veteran I was thrilled to be assigned an all female care team. They've been so responsive and have taken all of my concerns seriously. The clinic is small but all of the staff have been incredibly efficient and kind.
