I'm normally not a big fan of St Luke's, but Canyon View saved my life. I went in Friday afternoon wanting to die, and in the three days I was there, I feel happy and love my life. The staff were incredible, especially my nurse, Mary and the Social Worker, Tabitha. Going to the groups really helped me. I will be forever grateful for Canyon View♥️

**Update: be careful of reporting them for not being ADA compliant because the next thing you know they’re shoving you out the door and discontinuing services with you. Along with patient abandonment and medical negligence, among more.
For someone who is an ambulatory wheelchair user this place is not wheelchair accessible. They may have a little dip next to one of their handicap parking spots, but unless you have an able bodied person to open the door, you’re not getting in the building. I have reported this, so hopefully something is done about it. I also brought it to their attention.

The walker center was the best decision I’ve ever made! I was at my lowest point and in a place of desperation when I decided to call the walker center. It was a decision that changed my life completely and I am beyond thankful! The staff is great and most importantly you get to share a bond with the other residents trying to better their life as well! If you’re struggling I can’t recommend this place more!!

The Walker Center changed my life. I was terrified, I had never been in treatment before, I just knew it wasn’t for me. Little did I know just how amazing and life changing my 2 months with the Walker Center would be. I owe my life to the amazing staff and know that I wouldn’t still be here today if they hadn’t have helped me. Seeing the world from sober eyes has been an amazing experience, one that I won’t ever take for granted. They gave my kids their mom back… I can’t say enough good about this place. If you need help, I highly recommend giving The Walker Center a chance. The staff, lectures, groups, food, classes and atmosphere were all great. Thank you Walker Center.

I was there in 2019 June and July but I still had voices telling me to stick my head in the river and keep ot there so I went in August too.The first day I was there I couldn't go outside for fresh air, that is one of rules. I really like the arts and crafts time, they even finished my hat for me. The 3rd time (Feb-April 2023) I went they didn't have church ministry anymore because of Covid but I think they have live feeds from a church. The ones that are charged from jail say it's like a 6 week vacation. They have a lot of motivation to keep your bed clean and walking to get snack cart coupons. I want to send the library Luis Palau Movie and Anne of Green Gables and Anne of Avonlea. They play a lot of Avengers movies or super hero ones.
Heather was a good provider and I had a nice clinician too. I'm trying to think of what they could improve on. In the groups I felt a little vulnerable sharing fears but I liked the saying we're not here to make friends we're here to work on yourself. There was a patient that kept saying he had 7 baby mommas and his grandma took pictures of all of them. I liked having the earphones to listen to music too. Mike rocks!

I was committed by Twin falls county 4 times and Bannock County 1 time to State Hospital South. This was 5 times In a 3 year period. The longest they kept me was 7 weeks even though my family and I both desperately plead with the hospital and courts for more time to get things right. They are over flooded with commitments from all over the state and it's in their interest to keep people moving through even if they require more time to stabilize. Other than this 1 complaint I was always treated with the utmost respect and dignity and I am a chronic pain patient and at the time which was 2009,2010, and 2011 they worked with my home providers to keep my high dosages of opioids going while at the hospital. I realize in today's world they probably would not do the same for me but at the time if I would have been pulled off my methadone and Oxycodone it would have sent me into a further spiral so I'm very thankful that they treated this in a humane manner. I probably would have not returned so many times back to back if I just would have been given more time the first time or second time around. I hope they read this and keep this in mind when rushing patients into discharge. It would have saved the state dept of health and welfare and the courts and my insurance a lot of money to just keep me a little longer the first time. I often waited 30 days sitting in St Luke's Canyon View in Twin Falls after my commitment was official before a bed opened at SHS which just shows you how full they are always kept or was at that time period. I only imagine things have got worse now with so many people from other states moving to Idaho. I live in California now which is my home state and the hospitals here are horrible compared to in Idaho. It's been a long time since I have been in one but my best hospital memories are at State Hospital South. They have a patient library, cafe, completely separate medical clinic for health problems and we were allowed to walk outside in open grounds. They even took us on a activity to go bowling at a local bowling alley in Blackfoot. You have to remember many reviews of mental health facilities are bad but that's what you get when the population they serve are forced into the hospital by legal holds and commitments against their will. I am one of the few ex patients that see my going here as something that saved me from myself at the time. I have a lot of appreciation for the hospital.

Horrible experience, seems like they just want your money. Everyone employed there is under the age of 25 and doesn't seem to know the basics. They only reply to you when you tell them you are signing up for their PHP or IOP programs otherwise it's dead silence. I was forgotten about many times. Staff was more interested in their own needs than patients. Food and facility are great, but staff and therapists are not qualified nor seem to be focused on their jobs.

Cirque Lodge is at its core a business interested in protecting its own interests: it has no care about you getting well. The front line staff and clinical staff and community are largely good people but the administrative staff there are looking out for two things: their bottom line, and their liability exposure. Do not be fooled by the nice amenities - this place does not care about you getting well.

I was dismissed from Cirque yesterday morning after two and a half weeks of treatment. I’m very disappointed with them as they sided with a lower level staff member over me and dismissed me without even considering my side. This staff member took my antidepressant medicine from me and would not give them back. We had a heated exchange. I grabbed his wrist with the antidepressant medicine in a cup in his hand. He told me I should go pack my bags and we parted company. Another staff member came and got me in our morning meeting and escorted me to my councilor’s office. There we had a phone conversation over speaker phone with a director that told me I was going to have to leave. He didn’t even have the decency to meet with me face to face.
They would not refund my money for the days remaining at Cirque. If the really cared about my welfare they would have transferred that money to another treatment center for me to finish my residential treatment. Now I’m left without money enough to continue in house therapy somewhere else. Where do I go from here? When I left my therapist said I had made tremendous progress and said I was his star client.

NP Ashwood helped me transition from inpatient therapy to out and about in my daily life. I completed 28 days of PHP and then combined 12 weeks of IOP with going back to work. I have learned countless ways to cope, what my triggers are, how to be mindful in my daily life, and how to reroute when I catch myself in old habits. I highly recommend Ashwood to anyone who is leaving inpatient therapy or anyone who has a desire to change their life from the inside out. I came to Deer Hollow carrying years of unresolved trauma and symptoms that had taken over my life. I had tried therapy before, but nothing reached the root of what I was dealing with until I walked through their doors. When you are serious about recovery come to Deer Hollow. It will not be easy, but it will be worth it. I am a Paramedic that came up in the time of “stuff those emotions down”, I’m here to tell you that does not work. They come back with a vengeance and hopefully you don’t take your own life before you get help. Give Deer Hollow a chance, The staff is top notch and they have been through similar stuff and achieved Victory. You will be with peers going through the same stuff, no matter what their background we are more alike than different. I thank the people of Deer Hollow for saving my life. I recently completed my treatment with Moonlight Mountain Recovery. I am very thankful for my experience there. I was at the Logan house in Caldwell. The house is beautiful and well maintained with everyone doing their part to keep it clean and a healthy environment to practice early recovery. My absolute favorite part was our group counselor Heather! Having had many treatment counselors in the past, I must say she is one the most knowledgeable and compassionate people I have ever seen in this field. She brings a very unique and personal perspective that is amazing! She actually cares for addicts wholeheartedly and it definitely shows every day. This program by far is the best Rehab facility in the country. My life was changed after being there for 56 days. The professional staff, attention to detail, intense therapy, and process groups all helped in my transformation on my road in recovery. They also included my family in the process, because this is a family dis-ease… I highly recommend Cirque…if you seriously want to stop drinking or drugging, are willing to be openminded, honest, and willing…this is the place for you. The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human.
My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment.
Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge.
Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. I would also like to thank Lonnie, whose powerful meditation sessions left a deep impact on me. His encouragement meant so much because it came from a place of such authenticity.

These folks are authentic in their desire to help change lives. They are some of the most remarkable humans I have been blessed with coming across in life.
They are talented and skilled, and well equipped to meet mental health and substance abuse needs. They are particularly experienced with integrating well-rounded trauma focused treatment, using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities.

I went to Brunswick exhausted, malnourished, and on the brink of a nervous breakdown. My marriage was ending because of Infedelity and I started drinking heavily. They made me feel safe, gave me a place to improve my health, Therapist that I could talk with and taught me skills to use when I was feeling overwhelmed in life. Eliminating using a drug just to feel better. I highly recommend them if you need to get your brain clear, calm and ready to change your world around you!!!

The faculty and this facility changed my life for the better. I had tried different forms of assistant for 3 years to no avail. Donny Wheat made it a point to sit with me prior to my deciding to go and explained everything in detail leaving me with no questions and even gave me a tour of the place same day. When I was hesitant, telling him all the things I need to tie up prior to me going he said he’d make sure everything was taken care of and he could help me with anything. Veronica was my therapist and after cycling through multiple therapist I felt this was the first true fit. She was very intentional and I could tell she listened to me deeply. I found myself feeling comfortable sharing where that has never been the case for me. The food was great and I really created a family there and we still stay in contact. I highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling.

I recently completed my 45-day residential stay at Brighton, and it was truly a great learning experience. During my time there, I was able to better understand the mental health challenges I’ve been facing and develop healthier coping skills that I’ll carry with me moving forward. My time with Brighton has been life changing to say the least. This was my second time going through a treatment center and the difference was night and day. This time around I was able to get down to some root causes and truly get an understanding of what is going on in my head. The path ahead is much clearer after doing the 45 days at the monastery ( which is a beautiful and awesome place that really allows you to disconnect and allows you a safe place to process and heal.) I learned that connection was huge to my recovery thanks to my therapist Ashley and the connections I made there were crucial and meaningful. I still have a group of friends that I made there, that we get together and do sober activities. I can thank the program for exposing me to a community of like minded people, who understand, including staff and therapist. When I first got there I couldn’t stop to think how did I let myself end up at this point, but the day I walked out of the monastery my attitude was a complete 180, I was grateful to have experienced that and enjoyed finding myself again. They really do set you up for success. In addition, I had the blessing of working with Mr. Donny Wheat, who is the liaison for military clients. I can’t stress enough how beneficial it was having Mr. Wheat advocate for me, and provide a transparent communication with my unit of how treatment was going. It honestly gave my unit more of an understanding and allowed them to trust the process and program that Brighton has. At the end of the day our employers want us back to work and healthy right? But having Mr. Wheat allowed the process to go at the right pace. At my previous treatment center there was no such person. All in all Brighton has provided for me a fresh start in every aspect. We all have flaws, but they don’t have to define us, my 45+ days ( now that I am at their sober living facility, which is equally great) has made me realize that my flaws can be used to better myself. As I am writing this I am working on close to 90 days sober and I have every intention to just keeping looking forward one day at time, and I can thank the folks at Brighton for that.
