As someone who has been in and out of treatment centers throughout my life, I have never gotten the insight or perspective of recovery that Rainbows End gave me. Forever grateful to them for leading me to a life I never knew I could have!

The healing journey from addiction began in the spring of 2020 when I pulled into the driveway at Rainbow's End Recovery. I was greeted with love, compassion and warmth from everyone. I felt welcomed. The beautiful character nestled alongside the Salmon River brings joy to my heart. I spent many days enjoying the landscape, feeding the horses and sitting by the river. I have so many wonderful memories of hiking, fishing, making music, making new friends, and taking the first critical steps in recovery. The meals and desserts were absolutely stunning. Loved the cowboy cookies! I am so grateful for Rainbow's End Recovery. A foundation was established in the time I spent there. Thank you to all the staff who loved me when I could not love myself and never gave up on me. Today, my life is filled with love, peace joy and adventure. Thank you all!

Butte, Montana | Montana Chemical Dependency Center (MCDC) is a private residential alcohol and drug treatment facility for men and women in Butte, Montana. It’s in a residential location with modern amen | Treatments Programs Payment Options | All but two of the TT’s were amazing, and seemed very invested in patient recoveries, My counselor was both empathetic and challenging. And created a safe space for me to be honest with myself and her. I have been to this treatment center three times now. Every time I have gotten a lot out of it, but this last time changed my life. Sometimes I think people confuse treatment with a vacation and a spa. But if you are willing to try and do the work necessary, they Will go so far for you. But of course, they are not gonna work harder than you’re willing to work. I can’t say enough about the Case Manager currently she went above and Beyond for me. She had a massive impact on my heart, My life and my recovery. My counselor Case Manager, and the Director all made me feel like a priority. And sometimes I struggle with myself a priority. It meant the world to me.

This place teaches alot of useful skills like anger management, meditation, and focuses alot on mental health not just about staying sober. Teaches alot of relationship skills ect, Staff are all really kind and the rooms and showers are big and nice. It's alot better then I thought, but I wasn't forced into going, left early and didn't make it to graduate but been sober ever since the ninth and My relationships have improved let alone My physical health. I Absolutely Do recommend this place to anyone who wants to get sober and stay sober!! Thank you mcdc they saved my life! Hope I never need to go again but if I did I would go happily!

When I went to MCDC, I was younger and it was in the other building. I hated it when I went through and I was court ordered both times I did. Now that I have overcome my addictions through Gods grace, I can see where the staff was coming from and also understand that they are human beings that grow as they help us to. I would say that for anyone that is serious about getting sober, this is a good place and willingness to do what is best for yourself rather than what you want to do is a big part of recovery. Trust the process, and know as long as your looking towards the light, which I have come to know is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, than all the hard things will be used to strengthen you and make you more resilient.

Skip to the end of this review if you want to see the cons.
In terms of outpatient facilities here in the valley. It is hands down one of the best. I was able to get into Ashwood's program immediately, no wait lists required. The staff is friendly and cooperative. Ashwood gives you the choice of doing mornings or nights. If your schedule is a bit complicated they are very willing to work with you on your schedule. Giving you the option to do some mornings and some nights is a huge help to a complicated schedule.
Ashwood provides you with a counselor you meet with once every other week. I found my counselor (and most other counselors in the facility) to be extremely helpful and willing to listen to my situation. If you make use of your time with Ashwood's counselors you will get great feedback and amazing advice.
Now let's talk about the groups. This is where we get to the real meat and potatoes of Intensive Outpatient Programs. I did night IOP which was 3 days a week with each group lasting 3 hours. Groups are ran by the counselors at ashwood, and they provide 10 minute breaks at the top of each hour. There is a snack area that is always stocked with snacks. With that they coffee, water, and hot chocolate. Each group starts with a check in; name, sober date, drug of choice, feeling word, followed by a question of the day. From there you go into several therapy topics that the counselor will talk you through as the group progresses. I found a majority of the therapy topics discussed helped me greatly. The talking through the subjects, and group participation helped me immensely in my recovery. The handouts had a lot of great information, but I'm glad we did not dwell on them too long. I think group engagement and active teaching is a very good use of time in IOP. Not clinging to a handout at all times. IOP fosters an environment where you can freely share your feelings and beliefs. It is an amazing place to vent and work through your issues. There is plenty of time to get your two cents in each group. Counselors are also willing to stay and talk to you after IOP if there are any lingering topics you need to get off your chest. If you choose to open up and really work on yourself, this place will work for you. Overall Ashwood is a great pick for Intensive Outpatient programs.
Cons: Communication between staff is an issue that needs to be addressed. I was a week and a half into IOP when I was contacted for an orientation session with my counselor. Where I was told I was supposed to have my session the week I started IOP. One patient did not get some important paperwork for short-term disability for 2 weeks after checking in many times and only got it done when he directly complained about the shortcoming in group. During a lot of my time at IOP counselors were informed of any changes to curriculum or schedule last minute. If you are coming to IOP from Northpoint Recovery this is an important one. Topics and curriculum seem to be copy and pasted in Ashwood. Northpoint highly encourages you to go to IOP after their program. If you are encouraging people to stay in IOP especially after coming from Northpoint. There needs to be differences in the curriculum. The same topic can be discussed, but it needs to be taught differently when you move from one facility to another. This is one of the issues that makes the patient think they do not need IOP and they exit early. The curriculum needs work. We had time once during group where we discussed the other things that need to be talked about. Inner child, dealing with the past, and ACE's should be given more time in group. Coping skills, negative self talk, breaking bad habits, forming good habits, attachment styles and PTSD especially need more groups as well. The topics at ashwood are great, but they require more than just one group to talk through them. Lastly weekly check-in sheets become extremely repetitive. I flat out didn't answer some questions by the end of IOP. The questions should change

Ashwood Recovery truly changed my life. When I first came in, I was lost, broken, and unsure if I could ever get back on track. The staff didn’t just treat me like a patient they treated me like a person. They listened, cared, and pushed me to see my own strength when I couldn’t see it myself.
Every group, every counselor, and every moment there helped me understand that healing isn’t about being perfect it’s about showing up and trying again. I met people who reminded me that I’m not alone, and I left with tools that keep me moving forward every day. If you’re struggling or feel like you’ve hit rock bottom, Ashwood is the place that can help you rebuild. I’m deeply grateful for everything they’ve done for me.
