The Retreat saved my life. I relapsed after 6 years sober and found returning to the program extremely difficult. The way they helped me immerse myself back into the steps was exactly what I needed. So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor.
UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I absolutely adored my loving, kind, understanding, compassionate and just a teeny tiny bit rough, counselor, Ava.
Additionally, the program isn't like others that I've been to. I felt less triggered and much more like a family. Park gave me a purpose and motivation to get up, go, and actively participate every day. I enjoyed My time there so so much!!! And I came away with a great support system and the tools to be successful and healthy.
If you are looking for a good and loving recovery program, you will find it in Park Ave!!! Recommend 20 out of 10!!!!!

I went here on June 2nd 2023 I've been sober ever since! I still go here for therapy I absolutely love this place! I honestly cannot say enough great things about the staff they genuinely care about each and every client and it shows tremendously! Park Ave saved my life and my family! They didn't just help me get sober they helped me recover and gave me the best tools to maintain my recovery! I do and will continue to recommend Park Ave to anyone who struggles with addiction! I've been to several treatments and NEVER maintained my recovery until I went here! My family and I will be forever grateful to Park Ave for their dedication to save lives they certainly saved mine!

I've gone to inpatient in Shakopee and outpatient with lodging in Chaska. Both locations the staff is great. Counselors, techs, peer recovery specialists, medical staff, even kitchen staff. All of them truly care about our recovery, and will do everything they can for you. Northstar also has sober housing if you need it after treatment.

Like any VA facility, this one has many concerns to resolve to provide quality care to veterans. They seem to do their best with less. Personnel and provider shortages are becoming a problem. Some appointments can take several months to be seen. Community care needs to improve in providing referrals for quality care outside the VA and not just those who are the lowest bidders. VA recently denied over $10k in payments to my dental surgeon because they couldn’t get the bill submitted within their 6 month window because the clerks had repeated bouts of COVID. I can no longer maintain continuity of care because of VAs lack of consideration. The dental provider was highly skilled and experienced. Now he refuses any further authorizations from any VA. Today’s visit went very well at the VA for a minor procedure. All staff and providers were delightfully cheerful. That is certainly an improvement. God bless!

The second best thing was going to Hazelden.It's a beginning, it's not a solution. So don't fool yourself into thinking they will solve your problems. But I can honestly promise you, if you open yourself up and surrender all of your B.S..you can and will heal.I had suffered a stroke and was in a coma for 3 days before I admitted myself. If I would have continued to drink, I would not be typing this right now. I would be dead. You don't have to suffer alone anymore, I did that for way too long.So Im telling you, love yourself for a change. Look in the mirror at yourself. Hazelden taught me how to live a healthy life again and gave me my life back. They addressed the poor coping skills that landed me there and gave me new ones.
I continue to have nothing but the best of experiences with the staff at the St Paul location. I am grateful to so many people, but I do want to mention the incredible nursing department. Diamond and Ian, I look forward to every time I see you guys! Consider yourself very lucky if you get Dr. Exo - she's amazing! Laurie was a mentor to me at center City, and a big part of my decision to stick with the program.

Their attention to your needs is always focused on, and I feel like their staff is well trained to handle any situation one might struggle with. They are very open to the LGBTQ+ lifestyle, and I didn’t feel ostracized in any way. Each therapist has always been kind, considerate, respectful, and knowledgeable. I can't say enough good things about Nystrom and Associates in Eden Prairie! I've only had two therapy appointments so far, but I'm already looking forward to scheduling my next ones. Heidi Bishop has been absolutely wonderful! She creates a safe and supportive environment that makes it easy to open up about my feelings and experiences. I'm hopeful that our work together will help me navigate the challenges I'm facing.
I also had a Rule 25 assessment with Julien Monroe, and she was fantastic! She was not only sweet but also incredibly efficient with her time. It was clear that she genuinely understood my situation and communicated everything in a way that made me feel comfortable and heard.
I appreciate the variety of services they offer, including my upcoming telehealth appointment with an ARHMS worker. It's great to have multiple ways to connect, making it convenient to fit therapy into my busy schedule. Plus, having so many resources available in one place makes it easy to manage all my needs and appointments.
Overall, I highly recommend Nystrom and Associates. The staff is caring, professional, and truly invested in helping their clients. I’m excited to continue my journey with them!

I've changed my review they've implemented a lot of good things. The monthly mandatory group is online now which is amazing I have severe phobias and sitting in a small room of 20 people with potentially catching COVID makes me feel a lot better knowing I can sit at home in a group on camera and my counselor Rob is amazing and genuinely cares so they fixed a lot so I give this clinic a thumbs up. My previous review wasn't too fair I feel like they fixed a lot of the issues that I had problems with which is really good lots of places don't do that and they certainly don't listen to their clients usually and fixing those issues so it's a very nice change of pace to feel like we are heard 👍

I’ve been going to the Shakopee VA for over three years, and it has consistently been the best medical care I’ve received anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff are kind, helpful, and quick to respond. They make you feel welcome and supported right away.
The psychologists and physical therapists here are also excellent. They do their best to schedule appointments quickly, they listen, and they work with you to address your needs in a real and meaningful way.
Most of all, I want to recognize Dr. Reddy. She provides care at a personal level that’s hard to find. She makes sure medications, scans, and bloodwork are handled promptly, and she responds to messages and appointment requests almost immediately. It’s clear how much she cares about her patients and how hard she works every day.
Overall, I’m very grateful for the staff and providers at the Shakopee VA. Their professionalism, kindness, and commitment truly make a difference

Despite some of the bad reviews I’ve seen of progress valley? Personally they have helped me many times. I believe recovery isn’t always getting it right the first time. They always welcomed me back with open arms and were proud of me for making the step to come back into an inpatient treatment. I am now going on 5 months sober & am so grateful for the program. If it wasn’t for them and what I’ve learned from them through the years I would probably be dead. Juli is amazing, faith is absolutely a sweetheart and so caring, the director lady Renee used to scare the shit out of me but she just cares about you and is very much just straight forward and wants the best for you. I have seen many people who have graduated the program come back and work there themselves and I believe it’s beautiful because they are also helping their recovery by working with people and helping them stay sober and be supports! I hope one day I could come and work for progress valley! Thank you guys for everything you do & I am sorry that some people have had bad experiences here, progress valley isn’t for everyone just like everyone has different tastes in things. I personally loved progress valley & I always will.

The staff were incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, tailoring therapy sessions to my specific needs. Their commitment to holistic care, including group sessions, individual counseling, and wellness activities, created a safe environment to confront challenges and build coping mechanisms. I especially appreciated the accessible and responsive communication from my therapist, who was always available to address concerns. While the initial adjustment period was difficult, the structured program and dedicated staff helped me develop the tools necessary to maintain sobriety upon discharge. Been to 7 inpatients and countless outpatient treatments. And metro hope has worked for me. Faith based Christ centered. Just graduated 4 days ago. Now I'm currently a house manager and driver here. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. If you're not ready to stop doing what isn't working you won't be ready to start doing what is working. Be blessed

While I can't speak for the in-person services provided, we had a wonderful experience via phone communication. We were trying to help a family member navigate treatment options. We called on a Saturday to discuss what detox services might look like. Tony was the staff member who took our call. He was incredibly informative, kind and non-judgmental. He explained the process for being admitted, what to expect over the days of treatment, and also what we could expect from our family member specific to meth withdrawal. We were fortunate that we were able to get our family member directly into an intensive residential treatment facility, but the information he provided was so helpful in the interim! It took me a couple of months to get around to writing this review, but huge shout out to Tony!

Above-and-beyond promptness throughout my entire visit. Not a minute of my time was wasted! Every single staff member I encountered excelled with professionalism, competence, and kindness. I was called back within mere minutes of getting to the clinic for my appointment as a brand new patient. The wait for Dr. Salim was also very brief, so I am very impressed with the schedule management. I was also able to go practically straight from the exam room to the lab. I sat and waited for hardly a minute before I was taken back for my blood draw and other testing. Very pleased to have been helped by a talented phlebotomist as well!
I used to work in a very busy medical practice where long, long waiting times for patients were extremely commonplace. I know the standard I saw for my appointment with Dr. Salim was difficult to achieve and very much hard-earned. Kudos to all the staff here that make it happen. I can't recommend Dr. Salim enough!
