Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient rehabs enable clients to receive a full continuum of care while continuing to live at home. They're often ideal for clients who are stepping down from inpatient care but some clients may prefer to transition into outpatient treatment immediately after completing detox. Many outpatient facilities also offer ambulatory medical detox for low-risk clients. Outpatient treatment generally includes psychotherapy and life skills training. Clients in opioid and/or alcohol recovery may also receive medication assisted treatment (MAT).

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Clients who are exiting inpatient rehab, those who are experiencing crisis, and those who prefer to live at home while in treatment typically enroll in intensive inpatient programs (IOP). These programs feature frequent and robust care, generally requiring clients to participate in at least nine hours of care weekly, though many intensive outpatient rehabs offer up to 20 treatment hours per week. IOP services typically combine individual, group, and family counseling with recovery education and holistic therapies.

partial-hospitalization iconPartial Hospitalization Program

A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term, intensive outpatient option designed for those with moderate to severe addictions who don't require 24-hour care. PHP treatment is often fully covered by insurance and provides structured programming (i.e. individual and group therapy). A typical partial hospitalization program can meet 3-5 days a week for a minimum of 20 hours, offering intensive treatment during the day while allowing you to return home after. PHP treatment duration can vary based on your progress but averages 90 days.

Treatments

Alcoholism (alcohol use disorder) is diagnosed when a person's drinking causes harm or distress and they continue to drink anyway. Often, they have a physical as well as psychological dependence on the substance. To treat alcohol addiction, medical detox is often necessary to safely withdraw from alcohol. Once this is complete, alcohol rehab in New Jersey can provide skills and supports necessary for long-term recovery.

Drug rehab in New Jersey is the process of addressing the complex issues involved with addiction. Challenges are identified and addressed through individual and group counseling. Participants learn how to manage these issues without the use of substances.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

You can find comprehensive substance abuse treatment in New Jersey in drug and alcohol rehabs. These treatment programs typically provide a full continuum of care including medically assisted detox, inpatient, outpatient, dual-diagnosis, and intensive outpatient. With a comprehensive substance abuse evaluation, addiction experts provide individualized treatment plans to meet your specific needs. These programs address substance use disorders using evidence-based therapies, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), individual and family counseling, and recovery support groups.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Group therapy settings offer you a diverse perspective on addiction and recovery. People from a variety of backgrounds gather together to discuss their challenges and speak openly and in a nonjudgmental atmosphere. This enriches your experience and your understanding of addiction and recovery.

Family therapy sessions address addiction related conflicts and other issues between members of the family unit. By strengthening communication and coping skills, as well as creating a nurturing environment, the family can help support their loved one's recovery.

My best friend struggled for years… he finally decided he live for himself in ‘22, and thank god he did bc our family REALLY needed him at that point. I believe there’s something bigger and greater than myself that guided my sibling to where he needed to be at the time he needed to be there. I’m just so grateful MLB was there to catch him after his leap into recovery ❤️ 10/10 can’t thank them enough

Response from the owner
Carrie,

That’s such a powerful and heartfelt message, and we’re truly honored to have been part of your best friend’s recovery journey. Stories like yours are a reminder of why we do what we do every day—because recovery changes lives, not just for the person in treatment, but for their entire family. We’re grateful he chose to take that step in 2022 and even more grateful that MLB could be there to help him through it. Thank you for sharing, and please know our doors are always open if you, your loved ones, or anyone in your community ever needs support.

So, I landed at MLB about a month back, and honestly, I wasn't really sure what I was getting into. My old ways of doing things? Yeah, they weren't exactly working out. But from day one, this place has just been... different. They've given me space, had my back, and even hit me with some tough truths when I needed it. Oh, and the food's actually pretty solid too – definitely a pleasant surprise! 🍽️ First off, Karen, my therapist. Man, she does not mess around. She tells me all the stuff I really don't wanna hear, but deep down, I know it's the stuff I need to hear the most. She's got this way of putting things that just clicks. It's tough love, but the kind that actually helps you get your head straight. Then there's Chris. This dude is always on my case (in a good way!) about hitting the gym. He keeps me motivated to actually go. But the coolest thing for me, hands down, is the housing. They've got three different houses! Seriously, it was awesome having options to pick the place that felt right. That's made a huge difference in me actually feeling comfortable and able to focus. And big shout-out to the housing managers – they're super respectful, and they somehow manage to treat some of us like their own kids while still respecting every single adult, like handling situations that could've easily turned into chaos, where it almost felt like they were babysitting a room full of kids whose parents couldn't even handle 'em. I'm still here, still getting help, but for the first time, I really feel like I'm getting it. This time, it feels different, and I honestly think it's because this place just keeps giving people endless chances and opportunities. If you're looking for help, from people who get it, and who aren't afraid to be real with you, this is definitely the spot.

Response from the owner
John

Thank you so much for sharing your experience—it means a lot to all of us here at MLB. We’re proud to hear that from day one, you’ve felt supported, challenged, and truly seen. That’s exactly the kind of environment we aim to create.
Big shoutout to Karen for continuing to deliver that tough love with real impact—she’s truly one of a kind and has a gift for helping people break through. And Chris is all heart when it comes to pushing our clients toward positive habits, especially in the gym. We’ll make sure they both see your kind words.

We’re also glad you’re enjoying the housing and the food—we take pride in making sure every part of your stay feels comfortable and supportive.

Keep showing up, staying honest, and doing the work. We're with you every step of the way.

I worked for thier housing- “Promises a New Way”, and I can truly say one of the worst places to go as a client. They claim to be completely drug free, however allow all clients to smoke weed. Clinical won’t refer out clients for smoking and there is no consequence by housing or clinical. The houses smell like weed, clients smoke in the houses, they hire current clients to be staff as they are still in the program. People relapse and they don’t really care nor send them to detox because they need them since thier cencus is low. This place truly needs to get shut down. If there was a way to do 0 stars I would. This won’t be up long because they keep reporting ALL negative reviews.

Don't recommend to anybody actually trying to get sober. I was the manager for one of the houses and the clinical staff let clients use drugs with no consequences. They wouldn't send clients back to detox. As long as there charging people's insurance they could care less what happens. They only give clients $25 a week for groceries. They let clients sleep with each other. The house reeked of marijuana 24/7. Clients would go outside to buy drugs in front of the house. The house had roaches. A bunch of there reviews are people that work there. They hire current clients still in the program. When I quit and left the house they replaced my house manager position with a client. I could keep going on and on. Anyways please don’t go here if your trying to get sober. FYI they get there bad reviews deleted.
