Level Three to Begin and Daily Treatment

You will begin at level three if you choose to enroll at the recovery residence in Nashville, Tennessee. At this level, you’ll receive the highest level of active support, as it’s designed for those who haven’t spent much time in recovery or are coming out of residential treatment.

At level three, you’ll experience daily meditation during weekdays, weekly NVR meetings involving the entire community, and weekly individual community meetings. You’ll also attend a weekly Recovery Dynamics group and work one-on-one with a counselor to develop life skills through recovery coaching.

Level Two Step Down with More Freedoms

After completing 90 days in Level 3, you can step down into Level 2 if you’re eligible. At this treatment level, you’ll participate in weekly NVR meetings with the whole community as you did in Level 3. You’ll also have more freedom to explore which Recovery Dynamics meetings you’ll attend every month.

You’ll also have more freedom with your counseling objectives, choosing when to schedule monthly recovery coaching. While in Level 2 at the Tennessee New Vision Recovery Residence, you may also maintain your own daily schedule that can involve work, school, or volunteer activities.

As a resident of this program, I matriculated through all 3 levels of New Visions Recovery standards over a 7-month period. Avoiding going into my long history of attempting recovery through a variety of in-patient treatment centers (5 in total), I’d rather talk about what made New Visions Recovery the best investment I’ve made for myself. At New Visions, there is no ‘task mastering.’ This is not to be conflated with a lack of accountability or structure; rather, the success of residents is largely contingent upon their willingness to work a recovery program & practice surrender and acceptance. It is worth adding that this methodology has been especially successful for my ability to take action and work a recovery program independently. New Visions staff is equipped with highly knowledgeable professionals who not only understand recovery (be it from a perspective of chemical dependency or process-addictions), but work recovery programs themselves. I found whenever I had questions, or concerns about my future— staff was there for me 110%. As a resident, I found that those who did not have success within the Men’s Program oftentimes were not able to practice the principles of acceptance & surrender. Specifically, they were hoping for someone to both establish a template for their recovery program (which is appropriate for staff to do— and they are willing), while also doing the work for them (which is not an appropriate request of staff). Simply out, New Visions Recovery taught me personal accountability while honoring my history as a person who struggled with chemical & non-chemical dependencies. I credit New Visions Recovery, and specifically the Program Director, Brett, with showing me how to save my life.

Absolutely garbage. Started well but when results were not up to their very strict expectations they pulled some borderline abusive stuff. Highly toxic environment, no game plan for the majority of non-drug related issues, absentee administration, no background checks on potentially dangerous residents AND unqualified staff, and the organization of the “program” is held together by twist-ties, ABC Gum, and hopes & prayers. Also INCREDIBLY expensive for what little you’re getting. You could get your own apt & a live-in life coach for what they charge honestly. They say that they’re not a 1/2 way house, it’s more like a 1/8th way house truthfully.
