But the doctors, therapist and the safe were amazing, sweat, kind, and understanding! I was there getting my mental health better and it has gotten so much better I was there for about 5ish days I was discharged today and I'm so happy to be better. It was sad because I was literally by myself for 5 days and when I wasn’t wearing my rings some people thought I was divorced. But I wasn’t. I wish I could have kept my rings. They were understaffed and I didn't get to see a therapist every day, but I did get to see a psychiatrist every day to help adjust my medicines each day. From first contact after hours on a weekend, to accepting my son for treatment even before we had payment worked out, to working with my insurance to get everything covered in-network when they were technically out of network to the fantastic intensive outpatient services. I have seen a dramatic difference in my son from, mood, attitude and overall life goals. He has always enjoyed going and has never once complained. I can't thank them enough for everything that they have done and how they have changed our lives (my son's, mine and our family as a whole). I would recommended Iris to anyone with a struggling teen. Corrina, a professional driver for Harmony Oaks Recovery Center came to pick me up from Landmark Recovery in a Crazy Clean Chrysler. On arrival, Corrina was very helpful even going out of her way to ensure maximum comfort. Before the wheel started rolling an enthusiastic Corrina offered cold soft drinks aswel as a variety of snacks. I Give her service a 10 out of 10. Not once did I feel nervous. My first therapist was so amazing she was the one. She was the one who inspired me to get my bachelor's degree in Psychology for mental health. Then go for my masters to become an LPC. Well she ended up moving onto another job in April of this year. Then I got my new one end of April. I loved her too but sadly she's going somewhere else too. I see the new one next week. Even though I gave 5 stars I am bummed I keep getting new therapist. I didn't even find out about my new one until she called me today to tell me the news. I feel as if that shouldn't be happening as for some people like myself bringing up their trauma every time with a new therapist causes ptsd for weeks. God and Medmark gave me my life back. If you truly want to feel normal again and get your life back on track then I suggest starting treatment ASAP. I have the best councillor anybody could ever have. Sherry Barnes knows me inside and out! The reason I don't go to a clinic closer to me is because of Sherry. You've got to have a councillor that you trust or your treatment could become jeopardized. So if you are ready to get your life back then I suggest Medmark and Sherry Barnes! I will say that the counselors at this clinic care deeply about each one of the people who walks through the door every day. Needed to guest dose for 3 days and they ended up going above and beyond to do what they could to help us. Extremely thankful for this place. The director is definitely a lot more helpful and nice than the director at our home clinic. Definitely recommending them to anyone that needs them in this area. I just want to say this is a great facility for detoxing and peer support. But, when I came here I was not able to receive the medication I needed when I found the one that worked. I told my doctor that the adavan the nurses were giving me worked and that I was calm and aware of my surroundings. He said to take lithium and I said No because I have been on so many drugs in the past and they did not work, that because I knew the adavan worked to give me that. I started arguing with him and then I left without any medication except for the one pill that actually worked the first night I got there. So now it's been 5 months and I still have the same underlying problems; paranoia, anxiety, negative energy, hate, anger, and pessimism. I just want the nurses and health aides to know they are very good people and do a good job and the psychiatrist is a big fat nimrod with a paper shredder degree. Thank you. Hope Johnston 7 years ago
