Tribal Health Addictions and Mental Health is a culturally sensitive treatment facility for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai tribes in Polson, Montana. This facility is located on the Flathead Indian Reservation, near the Flathead River and Lake close to the mountains. Tailored to the needs of the local tribes, this facility has native speakers who can advocate for the medical needs of their clients.

Free Tribal Health Care for Adolescents and Adults 

Tribal Health provides free healthcare for adolescents and adults who are enrolled members or descendants of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes, as well as eligible American or Alaskan Natives. This facility provides services such as pharmaceutical needs, vaccinations, mental health, addiction, and overall medical health needs.

The facility serves more than 12,000 tribal members in the Polson, MT area. Cultural approaches and treatments are integrated into the Tribal Health planning and support. This facility works with tribal resources and local community leaders for comprehensive wellness. Traditional Native American healing practices and values are widely used by clinicians at the facility. 

Native American Addiction and Mental Health

I’ve read that the Tribal Health facility treats addiction and mental health for Native Americans and that all ages are welcome. This facility attends to the youth as well as adults for addiction, behavioral, and mental health needs while keeping with the traditions and values of the Salish and Kootenai people. 

Culturally and medically trained staff evaluate and assess patients for substance use and mental health disorders. They can provide outpatient treatment services like medication-assisted treatment, therapy, and counseling services. They offer various services including case management and referrals to higher levels of care when necessary.
