Very grateful for community medical services. Maintenance gave me the opportunity to develop a lifestyle that was conducive to sobriety and the tools to create a life I never thought was imaginable. 5 years later I have my own business, a family, and a support system that allows me to deal with the road bumps that are a part of life s journey. It s never easy but it s beyond worth it. I would recommend looking into the options that CMS offers to anyone that is struggling with addiction to narcotics or knows somebody who is!

Logan Health Medical Center, located in Kalispell, Montana, is an acute care regional referral center offering a full spectrum of healthcare. Their psychiatric addiction treatment center, known as Pathways, specializes in the treatment of alcoholism, dual diagnosis, mental health and substance abuse, and opioid addiction. Formerly known as Pathwa
I was a patient at Pathways in 1997. I was 16yrs old. I had a bad drug and alcohol problem. I moved to Kallispell with my mother and her boyfriend from Milwaukee Wisconsin that year. My mother had me admitted into pathways because my drinking and drugs were too out of her control to handle anymore. I stayed there for almost 3 weeks but was discharged for being disruptive in the groups and was putting my fellow patients at risk for relapse. At the time I had no intention of staying clean. I was a mess. My mother had mental health issues of her own which was hard enough because we were homeless the whole time we lived in Kallispell. I'm now 43yrs old and not a day goes by where I don't wish I could do it over at Pathways. It was an excellent facility to go to for help with addiction. I now have 15yrs clean off drugs and alcohol. I had to want to stay clean for myself and not my parents. If I lived in Kallispell 15yrs ago when I first got clean I definitely would have chosen Pathways Rehabilitation Center. I apologize for all the trouble I gave the staff at Pathways when I was a patient there. They were good people with good intentions but when I was 16 I couldn't see that if I wanted to. The point of this review is to let the addicts out there know that in order to work a recovery program you have to do it for yourself and not someone else because you will keep falling off the wagon again and again until you truly want to stay clean and live a fulfilling lifestyle. I think if I had worked a program while I was a patient at Pathways they could have helped me.

Nobody wants to have mental health issues. We all have different ideas of what mental health treatment should look like. 99% of addicts have co-occurring mental health issues. I was in crisis and have no history of addiction, so I became angry at the focus on addiction while I was a patient. I asked for a Chaplin several times and never saw one in 14 days. Was this frustrating? YES. Was the other option better (no mental health treatment at all), NO.Approximately 6 months after my 2 week stay here, I attempted suicide. My psychiatrist (assigned during my first stay) was Dr. Shumard. He was the first face I saw when I awoke in the ER recovery room. I have since worked with Dr. Shumard and can confidently say, there isn t a kinder, more intelligent, more capable mental health physician available in any adjoining state! It s taken me three years to climb out of the darkness of severe depression (and I understand I must be vigilant to avoid succumbing to depression again). With help from Dr. Shumard & the staff at Pathways I not only feel amazing once again, but I understand how to function with an awareness of my mental health condition so that I don t go down the path to suicide again. They saved my life and I m forever grateful to 1)The Flathead county sheriffs, 2) Logan Emergency Room 3) Dr.Shumard & Pathways.I love you guys & gals!!!

When I was 24, my addiction to prescription medication had spun wildly out of control. So much so that I crashed my step fathers car I was borrowing into a lake and don t remember a single bit of it. The next day, sitting in a jail cell, I told myself I had had enough. I have a friend that had gone to WTC so I called them first without even trying anywhere else and immediately knew this was the place for me. WTC and the counselors/staff that work there without a doubt saved my life. This place is fantastic, but don t be fooled. If you go here, expect to work. It s not sit around and watch tv rehab, you re expected to do certain things and act certain ways. It sounds hard I know, but I promise you if you re serious about getting help for yourself, even if you re being forced by your parents to do this, please give WTC a chance. The work pays off 10 fold.

I attended WTC 3 years and 5 months ago, my first time trying out the sobriety aspect. This place saved my life and truly push me to change into the better person I am now. If I could comment on other people s 1 star reviews. I would say. It sounds like those people were not willing to get sober. Making up excuses to make it sound like it wasn t everything that it was cut out to be. Especially co dependent parents who comment saying not to send there parents to a place that will eventually help their kids out in the long run. All in all if you want to change your life. Go here, if you don t. Then you truly haven t hit your bottom in life.I work in recovery now. Due to this program, my life has changed for the better and I have everything I could ever want to keep me happy in this life.

Choices For Change Counseling has decades of combined experience and expertise working with those who suffer from addiction, from the initial crisis intervention, all the way through the inpatient and outpatient treatment levels of care, to aftercare and alumni services. Choices For Change Counseling provide 'evidence-based' drug and alcohol treatment that really works, including life-skills building, and experiential, effective guidance in creating and maintaining healthy and lasting recovery.Great counselors and the best treatment, hands down. Between the programs meetings and the message they bring is just amazing!!! I will recommend this treatment to whoever is having a struggle or problems. When I first attended Choices For Change Counseling I was a broken person. depressed, dependent on alcohol feeling completely worthless and alone. Upon intake, I was treated with warmth, compassion, and respect. This continued throughout my treatment. The greatest gift they gave me was a renewed hope and belief in myself. By helping me to find a path to personal insight and healing, Choices For Change Counseling gave me the basic set of tools needed to help me through the life-long journey recovery. I am grateful for everything they did for me.Choices For Change Counseling is a great place to come and get and stay sober. They really care about you as a person and work with you to get your life back on track. Nancy is amazing! I truly had a wonderful experience here and I would recommend Choices For Change Counseling to anyone in need of help with addiction.

They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery. Specialty rehab programs at Chrysalis include tailored care focusing on women̵
Our 17-year-old daughter spent time at Chrysalis Therapeutic Boarding School, and we are deeply grateful for the progress we witnessed during her stay. From the beginning, it was clear that the staff truly cared about each student not just their safety and well-being, but their emotional growth and long-term success. Her therapist at Chrysalis was exceptional. She developed a level of trust and connection with our daughter that none of her previous therapists had been able to reach. The therapist s insight, compassion, and clinical expertise made all the difference. She helped our daughter take true ownership of her decisions, both in terms of the tools she learned and the consequences of choosing whether or not to use them. This accountability has been empowering for her and has had a lasting impact. The campus itself is safe, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. We always felt that the girls were well cared for, both physically and emotionally. The Chrysalis program encourages parent involvement and connection. We built relationships with other parents and felt supported by staff every step of the way. It s clear that Chrysalis doesn t just focus on the student they support the whole family system.Sending our daughter to Chrysalis turned out to be one of the best we ve ever made. We wholeheartedly recommend this program to families who are looking for deep, lasting healing and growth.

Our child attended Chrysalis for 17 months. That period of time was one of incredible transformation. The wrap around therapeutic work, adventure programming and supportive, engaging academics were exactly what our child needed. The family work was also instrumental in creating positive, lasting changes for our child and our entire family system evolved. The therapeutic team at Chrysalis changed the trajectory of our child s life. As a family we continue to use the skills we learned at Chrysalis long after graduating from the program. Transition and after care support was an essential component of the program.

I thought the programming and services were good. I actually found the staff to be very friendly and accepting of real diversity. Which unfortunately I did not find the rest of the town to be so much as. I admit at first I didn't like having to go to recovery mall. But I got used to it. Sometimes I miss the question they used to ask. As to what change in diet everybody wants. And of course everybody would say along with me more beef. The only thing I didn't like. Was that when I moved out. I did it with somebody I met there. And it turned out to end up being a mistake. Also when I came out. I noticed some people that I talked to. Did not want to talk to me anymore. But other than a few clients I think the service and program is good.To those of you who give the reviews. Especially the ones of a more negative nature. Keep in mind that living in a group home requires some adapting. If you have a preference for living on your own and making your own rules. Of course you're not going to like this living arrangement to much. In general they provided a good one.

Everyone there including the security, front receptionist, nurse, case workers, social workers, and doctors are amazing.I've been to many states and their VA's and 4 different VA's in MT so far and this one is the best!Thank you to nurse Brandy for providing professional care. She taught me something I once knew and forgot about myself, that is natural to us all. Really helped meThanks to Nurse Jodi for being always helpful and understanding and caring, both online and in person. Also thanks to Dr Missourian because it's rare that a doctor ACTUALLY cares and wants the veteran to get better physically and be happy in life. One of the best doctors from all MT VA (been in bozeman, butte, and many other states too). The social worker MEGHAN was amazing. I had a panic attack way beyond normal measure and thanks to her I LITERALLY STOP AND SMELL THE FLOWERS NOW. I was so out of control with my mind and head, and her basic exercises and knowledge, which we need to always work on and enforce, really brought me back to enjoy this life once again for the first time in years. I walked for miles before that and never stopped and looked/smelled/and was in the moment before. Thanks to her my walks daily with my dogs in national forests are really magical. The exercises may be basic mindfulness or breathing techniques but that's the building block everyone lacks to be calm and aware.God bless you all thank you for helping Veterans all in Christ name.PS: Im still messed up physically mentally but at least I started to go out once every few weeks and enjoy life. Here's me and the pups living our best life thanks to the medication and professional care of the VA Staff (including psychiatrists on telehealth) God BlessGod in Heaven Bless us all
