About AA – Alcoholicos Anonimos – Oficina Intergrupal Hispana
AA – Alcoholicos Anonimos – Oficina Intergrupal Hispana is a substance abuse support program in Phoenix, Arizona, south of Perry Park. It acts as a central office for local Hispanic Alcoholics Anonymous groups.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a peer-led support group, not a form of clinical or medical treatment. It’s best when used in tandem with or after completing a rehabilitation program and is designed to offer ongoing support as clients continue recovery.
The 12-Step modality was first made famous by Alcoholics Anonymous, and many AA groups continue to use it as their foundation. AA utilizes peer-led support groups to encourage clients to accept help from (and give help to) one another. Though commonly thought of as a faith-based program, it is non denominational.
The 12 Steps are structured to guide clients through the recovery process, starting with admitting that they have an addiction and need help to overcome it. Throughout the steps, clients learn to take responsibility for their choices, see how those choices hurt other people, and make amends with those whom they have hurt with their addiction, when appropriate. Veterans of the program stay on to mentor others.
When considering a rehabilitation program, clients should first confirm coverage with their insurance plan, as in network and out of network benefits can vary.

Treatments
The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.
Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
