About the Facility

Maverick House (Terros Health) is a dual diagnosis, mental health, and drug rehab center based in Glendale, AZ. The facility offers comprehensive care to adults seeking recovery from substance abuse and addiction.

Terros Health offers a range of evidence based programs and levels of care including:

The 29 bed residential program provides patients with 24/7 support and combines evidence based therapies, group counseling, individualized treatment plans, and specialized services. Through a combination of therapeutic interventions, education, and skill building, individuals are equipped with the tools and strategies necessary to overcome addiction and achieve sustainable recovery.

The Co-occurring Treatment Program at Terros Health is specifically designed to address the unique needs of individuals who are facing both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. This comprehensive program requires patients to attend services 3-5 days per week and lasts an average length of 3-4 months.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) combines FDA approved medications, such as methadone, buprenorphine, or naltrexone, with counseling and behavioral therapies to reduce cravings, alleviate withdrawal symptoms, and support long term recovery.

Terros Health offers a supportive outpatient program (SOP) that provides flexible and accessible care for an average of 12 weeks. Outpatient treatment includes individual counseling, group therapy, psychoeducation, and support services. These services are designed to address the underlying causes of addiction, develop coping skills, and support individuals in maintaining their recovery.

An intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides a more structured and intensive level of care than traditional outpatient treatment. The IOP involves three hour group therapy meetings, 3 days a week with day and evening sessions. This program allows patients to receive intensive support while maintaining their daily responsibilities and commitments.

Terros Health recognizes the importance of ongoing support and aftercare in maintaining long term sobriety. Aftercare services may include counseling, support groups, relapse prevention strategies, and access to community resources. These services aim to assist individuals in transitioning back into their daily lives while maintaining their sobriety.

book iconAlcoholism

Alcohol use disorder (AUD), also referred to as alcoholism and alcohol addiction, is a chronic condition that involves craving alcohol and an inability to control drinking. A person with AUD must drink greater and greater amounts of alcohol to achieve the same effects and experiences withdrawal symptoms if they stop drinking alcohol. Several evidence-based methods are available to treat AUD through alcohol rehab in Arizona. This treatment can occur on an outpatient or inpatient basis.

prescription iconDrug Addiction

Drug rehab in Arizona is the process of treating individuals who are dependent on a particular addictive drug. Because addiction is complex, this treatment typically includes a variety of interventions that address the many physical and emotional issues involved.

file-medical iconMental Health and Substance Abuse

Dual-diagnosis rehabs in Arizona typically provide comprehensive treatment for both mental health and substance abuse. These types of specialized facilities address both issues at the same time, through substance abuse evaluations and personalized treatment plans, evidence-based therapies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), medication management, and skill development. By focusing on both aspects of your mental health and treating your addiction, you’ll gain vital skills to cope with cravings, manage stress, and prevent relapse.

prescription-bottle-pill iconOpioid Addiction

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Medical briefcase icon Levels of Care

clipboard-medical iconMedically Assisted Detox

The safest way to remove addictive substances from your body is done under the care of licensed medical professionals. Known as medically assisted detox, this level of care is typically in an inpatient setting with a team of medical experts that may include doctors, nurses, and mental health clinicians. Medications like Suboxone, methadone, or Vivitrol may be administered to help alleviate withdrawal symptoms.

book-medical icon12-Step

Many addiction recovery centers base their treatment modalities on the 12 step program model and those in treatment often transition to community-based programs. These programs can also be effective for clients who choose not to enter rehab. 12 step meetings are designed to provide intensive peer support whenever it is needed. In addition to group meetings and peer sponsorship, participants “work the steps” to achieve recovery through a systematic healing of the mind, body, and spirit.

house-medical iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Couples Therapy

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Family Therapy

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Individual Therapy

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life Skills

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.
