Parents BEWARE!!!!!
I'm giving this 5 stars so others can see this but let me tell you:
Our son was constantly discriminated by other patients who were using slurs like the N word, R word, and the F word. Staff sedated our 11 year old and called him crazy when he was sexually harassed by another child on a daily basis. There was no hot water in the shower. He was put in solitary for 3 days bc the room was supposedly under management, yet they allowed his roommate to stay in the room. The state needs to investigate the staff, because the way they complained about their job in front of the kids is horrendous . We will be filing a report. Our child had a head wound that was not taken care of and ended up getting infected. They even denied him going to the bathroom during group, threatened to take off points that count towards release. The social worker had to step in to advocate, but it still continued to happen. He was supposed to be on one on one and they couldn't fulfill that for even a day. He met my wife under sedation with nobody there to supervise him for his safety so he wouldn't fall. He's traumatized after just needing help.

I got so much love for this place. From my initial late night phone call with RN Jeanne who reassured me that I was correct in refusing to get stuck on suboxone for 7oh dependence to meeting with Laura and then all the great nursing/patient care staff (especially Pat, with RT) as well as Dr. Aharonov, this place is the real deal. I don’t think I would have been able to get off 7oh any other way. The morning after the procedure was no walk in the park (fatigue, diarrhea, nausea, insomnia); but not having to suffer thru the intense body aches and pains as well as other opiate withdrawal symptoms for 4-7 days at home was well worth the price of admission. If you can handle a bad hangover for a day plus a couple more days of diarrhea, you can handle this. They also give you meds to help ease whatever symptoms you have after. I can’t tell you how many times I had tried quitting at home unsuccessfully (even with comfort meds like gabapentin and clonidine); I knew I had to go somewhere where I could just “rip off the bandaid” and be done with the nightmare I was stuck in and flying to Michigan was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. I’m going on nearly a month now since I was there and you couldn’t pay me enough to ever touch 7oh again. I’m forever grateful for this place and the amazing staff that works there.

It’s my second day home after the procedure starting on Monday and leaving Thursday. I haven’t had nausea, sweated or had diarrhea once since the procedure starrted and up until now. I’m moving around perfectly fine. The only problem I have is the restless legs which they give you meds for when you leave. I was coming off 24 mg suboxone I’ve been stuck on. If your want to be clean and actually get that dopamine feeling just listening to music get to this place as fast as possible. Don’t end up dead like the thousands we’ve seen already

Just checking in on you guys. Thank You for all your help and the tools to stay clean. I left about four years ago and was at 120 . After about 45 days of going thru withdrawals I finally gave in to Suboxone. My next step is the shot. Hi Bill and glad to see you're still here. TY for always being cool and I'll never forget you. I think I was 518 and can only imagine what number you're on today!!
Addicts do recover when they choose to!!!! Ty QBH for the tools to stay clean by making me go to group and therapy 🙌. Which made me start going to NA meetings. I believe in early recovery you gotta do 90/90. 90 meetings in 90 days to start change 😉😎. Remember to give yourself a break and get into NA to start working the steps of NA. The books how and why were my best tools. You must have a sponsor to work the steps. You can't do the steps alone because how do you know if you're doing them right 👍 and you'll have a friend forever.

River’s Bend PC has truly impacted my life in many great ways. Their front office staff has always been extremely supportive and helpful when I need and the therapists here truly care about helping people. I have seen the negative reviews this place has received and I can assure you that it’s not accurate to the staff and therapists here. I have been here for 2 years and have improved tremendously with my mental health and loss of my mother. They have a great team on group therapists and one on one therapist that work closely with their psychiatrists to make sure the right level of care and needs are being addressed. I would highly encourage you to take the step to contact Rivers bend to start on your therapy journey!

Been here since '19 and I will most likely be a lifer. This place's functionality can vary from day to day, which isn't ideal for people trying to stabilize. That said, the NPs (Doctors everyone calls them) are 11/10. Reene (sorry about spelling) andTonya are absolute angels, doing Gods work. Swriously they couldn't be better. The front desk ladies are good too, always busy. And thank god for the nurses too. They have been reliable lately and that is nice. Bonnie is also amazing and although I've only had a few interactions with her, each one was more pleasant than the last. Great lady.

Dr. Murthy is the best Dr I have had. He's professional and also very personable. He's caring and funny and is a multi specialization doing both family medicine and behavior and addiction therapy.
I have been seeing him as my primary for years now. Unfortunately, the office portion of the practice often struggles with organization and not answering phone calls. I have attempted several phone calls across multiple days, and often, nobody picks up. Voice mails are not returned, and sometimes the inbox is full.
Overall, I would recommend wellhealth if you want a deeper clinical experience. Just know Dr. murthy usually runs behind because of the more complex cases that come into his office.

I enjoyed my experience at Positive Images. I learned a lot and most of the recovery coaches do care and want the best for the clients. There is a few things they need do need to work on and hope they do in the future- which was allowing some clients to continuesly break the rules and not sticking to their punishments. Many should have been kicked but werent and it started to affect the people that were there who really l wanted to get the help and followed the rules.

This is not a hotel. It is when you have found yourself hopeless, lost and homeless and you have come to the last house on the block meaning you have lost everything and burned most or all you had. You have nothing and the only way to go is up. You are not owed anything. But it is a start from the streets. Utilize what they have to offer for your benefit and when you have moved up go back and help those coming for help. Be humble and understand you cannot function without money! Nothing is free!!!

I normally wouldn't have written a review but it was comical to read some of the reviews here and felt like I should leave a comment as well. If you spend any amount of time attending group or individual therapy at Clinton Counseling Center, you will quickly find out that this place seems to be the only and last hope for people that have hit rock bottom in life, whether it is with chronic unemployment, broken relationships, abandonment from loved ones, homelessness relying on the generosity of Macomb County funding and the staff here will go above and beyond to act like the middle person to get you the resources you need, advocate for you, communicate with probation officers or psychiatrists or aiming to connect you with a primary care physician or anything to help you through your journey to recovery. If the client makes an effort, you will find good support from the team at Clinton Counseling Center which is honestly a very bare bones operation but a very critical and needed service that isn't drawing in money like most other larger organizations are. Take advantage of this gem if you need it and don't be swayed by those that have had "bad" experiences that often was not caused nor exacerbated by anyone at the counseling center.

Truly, the best kept secret of Macomb County! I am amazed at the level of kindness and care offered by every single person you'd interact with here. They are genuinely empathetic and will figure out any way possible to support you in receiving the funding you need for housing, transportation, medical and psychiatric care that the government already has allocated. Clinton Counseling is under the banner of Comprehensive Youth Services that supports children, teenagers, young adults and older in providing counseling, therapy and life skills in life to thrive and overcome every challenge that they've experienced in the past!

I know some people get frustrated with the turnover or when the front desk can’t always answer the phone right away, but I cannot say enough positive things about Easterseals MORC. They truly have some wonderful people providing support.... and these are just some of them.
My case manager, Helen P., has been such a blessing in coordinating all of my services through Easterseals. She has gone above and beyond to make sure my care feels seamless — from connecting me with therapy and employment support to helping with medication management. She even took the initiative to gather my records from a previous provider so nothing was missed. Helen is incredibly resourceful, patient, and caring, and I truly appreciate the peace of mind she brings by keeping everything organized and on track.
My therapist, Janai W., has been a wonderful source of support and encouragement. She truly listens, creates a safe and welcoming space, and helps me work through challenges with compassion and understanding. Her guidance has made a real difference in my life, and I’m grateful for her insight and care. Easterseals MORC is fortunate to have someone as dedicated and compassionate as Janai on their team.
The assistance that I've received from Jada F. 's employment support services has been top-tier. From the very beginning, she has demonstrated genuine care, professionalism, and a strong commitment to helping me succeed. Jada takes the time to understand my individual strengths, career goals, and personal challenges, and is providing tailored guidance every step of the way. I look forward to being one of her success stories!
Dr. Harpold has been outstanding with my psychiatric and medical management care. She is attentive, thorough, and takes the time to explain things clearly, which helps me feel comfortable and informed about my treatment. Her professionalism and genuine concern for my well-being have given me confidence and peace of mind in managing my health. I truly appreciate the quality of care she provides.
Easterseals MORC has been a wonderful support system. The staff are caring, resourceful, and genuinely invested in helping people succeed. I’m truly grateful for all they do.

I was taking there by the hospital involuntarily spent 11 days .
I’m not a person that usually has any drama or gets upset at the staff so it was good for me. I even got moved out of my room to a better floor where it was coed and only nine people I’m a male .. I can definitely confirm you do gotta take medicine which I did not want to do but had to so I can get free they have a pharmacy there so you can get your meds when you leave. so far the medicine does help but I just have a anxiety problem If you have any bigger problems, I’m not sure if this place will be the way Lucky me I did not take a lot of help. I was willing after a bit. Doctors only stay for a second just a few questions and then that’s it. I find myself waking up early just so I can hope to see the doctors . Social workers is a bit hard to get but once again I believe they were really really busy. My second week there The social worker was much more there for me I’m a stay out of these type of places anyway, but it helped for the 11 days they have groups, music therapy, and a lot of sitting time. On my last day, one of the residence peed inside A container that had the water in it. They threw it out, but the resident was allowed to stay. That was a bit crazy, but that is indeed more on the Guy not being in his right mind.’m a laid-back person so it was a fine experience for me but if you fight cause the ruckus, they would drug you but once again, this was not a problem for me because I’m non-compatible . They gave me medication to change my thinking which I do think I need so they help me but I know the experience is gonna be different for others I would’ve never thought to rate this place because I went in, just thinking I needed help. I wasn’t thinking about the performance. I was more so thinking about me and how I can get out of there, but when I looked up this place, it has such a low rating. I feel like I had to defend it a little bit. The medicine made me cry at the movies forest gump we watched lol felt silly after. overall, it’s hard to rate places like this because it’s not supposed to be pleasant but for the issue I had I think they did fine They even drove me home after everything was done And I live very far away, one hour from this place . So I got helped and I’m alive so job good . The staff was real . They were normal people working a job but it still felt like they cared . One of the staff was talking to his baby mama and he explained during Group why , we were talking about triggers and he related a real problem to what we’re doing now and that is real it was easier to open up to cause he was human too . Staff is nice and they will give you extra food If you’re hungry I’m not a eater and they figure that out and have me milk ensures silk vanilla milk to help me eat more they had tacos spaghetti chicken Pepper steak French toast, ravioli pancakes cereall eggs, sausage ham that mad a bad situation better . They ask you want to eat for every meal . And they save your food if you sleep through dinner .
Pretty good food ,while I’m trying to get my head right. and these little things the staff did help.when they have the time they keep you company by playing games with you. Another good distraction made me think less about being in there. The staff always gave me soap toothpaste new robs and they washed my clothes which I really appreciate because they were busy and they still had time to do that. I felt safe with their 15 min check ins with a beacon you have to wear . And when a fight broke out they were on immediately stopping it so I felt safe .its all type of people in there and it felt safe with the staff there . Every morning they had the on the news and they always ask what I wanted to watch. And on my last day I have the tv room to myself so it was really cool in a bad situation. The janitors kept it clean The music therapy had guitars and they played songs and we disused they lyrics one time we had Nintendo Wii . They do try to keep you busy and put the effort forward.

Myrtle Beall started a Sunday School for the neighborhood children. She was the BOMB. She Rocked! Thank GOD for the Beall family. Case Closed! Now what kind of people tell you not to give like this? Fools, lol

My therapist, Steve Scavone is the absolute best. I never would have thought that as a woman, a male therapist could be so helpful, but he's been absolutely amazing. The staff is super friendly, especially miss Pam ❤️ I couldn't recommend this place more!

Patty & Cindy are great they listen and don't judge. I feel confident in both of them. People that gave a one star call and ask for a different therapist.

I saw Jacqueline, a therapist, for more than two years, and she was great. She's a great listener and had good feedback for me. She also has a great sense of humor, which, to me, is important in a therapist. The office ran smoothly and they sent reminder texts and phone calls before each appointment. I recommend Eastwood BH!

I give this place only a 4 star because they make it mandatory to see a therapist on a monthly basis in order to see your psychiatrist. It is a total inconvenience to me having to deal with an unneeded therapist.

I've read past reviews and it's disheartening to hear given my time while short was beneficial. Yes the men's bathroom was atrocious but I dare you to make me one rehab facility that accepts medicaid insurance where the men's bathroom doesn't look bad. Sacred Heart for example is supposed to be the top tier for bottom insurance and the men there never flush leave their stuff all over it's like that especially in detox grown men don't know how to use proper hygene. But the staff went I was there a couple months ago were amazing friendly and funny especially Diamond she had me laughing a lot. The food is pretty good so I don't know what the one guy was complaining about mold. I've been to some of the best and worst rehabs and I can tell you it's what you put into it. If you are trouble you are gonna attract trouble or if you think you can just come in and coast and not participate then you won't get anything out of it. I had a bad relapse recently and unfortunately have to go back but I'm glad I'm going back to a place that has love and cares. Only negative thing I can say is what most would consider great is that they allow you to bring your personal cellphones in. Its great to listen to music and text family to passed the time but there is too much temptation to call or text the wrong people who could convince you to reconsider wanting to stay. Other than that I give this place a 5 and they do a lot with not having a lot of money

The detox facility takes people off the street 24/7, that’s an amazing thing. The detox nurses deal with a lot and do it with kindness, compassion, and composure. I am incredibly grateful for the rest they provided me that I was in desperate need of. If you are a person with the capacity to donate to a facility, this is the one. They are operating with limited resources.

I have been an outpatient at New Oakland Family Centers for approximately eight years. Following the loss of both parents within a span of five months eight years ago, and subsequently losing my fiancé to cancer a year later after a five-month diagnosis, my case necessitated placement in a psychiatric facility for two weeks on three separate occasions. At New Oakland, I began seeing a therapist, a psychiatric nurse practitioner for medication management, and a case manager. Throughout my interactions, I have found the staff, including the front desk personnel, my therapist, nurse practitioner, and case manager, to be consistently kind, compassionate, and professional. Although my condition improved significantly within a couple of years, I continue to receive support from New Oakland to this day. I appreciate the exceptional care I have received and extend my gratitude.

From the first phone call to the current therapy, I appreciate everything you have all done for us. The front desk gals always have a smile and are friendly and helpful. We also appreciate the ways they decorate the front to show they truly care!
Building maintenance on the other hand could be upgraded and your snow removal needs to be quicker knowing patients are coming in an out all day. Parents don't carry boots at all times!
