I’ve only had one appointment so far, but I found the receptionist and the nurse practitioner extremely friendly and helpful! The nurse practitioner took a lot of time to really get to know me, and had some very good advice about my medications. Very little wait time also.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Clients who have just completed detox or who are at an increased risk of relapse, such as those experiencing a life crisis, typically enroll in an inpatient rehab. There, they receive housing, meals, and intensive clinical supervision. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive individual, group, and family therapy. Clients may also participate in life skills training to support their long-term sobriety. Integrative rehab centers offer a variety of evidence-based holistic therapies, such as meditation or equine therapy.

Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Designed for individuals with moderate to severe addictions, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) provides a more intensive form of outpatient therapy. PHP treatment can serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization or as a step-down option after being discharged from a hospital or residential program. A partial hospitalization program typically requires a minimum of 20 hours weekly for an average of 90 days. Depending on your care plan, PHPs can include relapse prevention, medication management, and behavioral therapy services.

During initial recovery, withdrawal from alcohol, opiates, and benzodiazepines can involve high health risk. Attempting detox outside of 24-hour clinical care in Ohio is not recommended. This can be life-threatening because medical staff are not available to treat severe symptoms of withdrawal that often occur. Such symptoms can include seizures, delirium tremens, and extreme dehydration. In a clinical setting, staff are on-site to immediately care for your physical, emotional, and mental health needs.

Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

Mental health rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from mental illnesses like bipolar disorder, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, and more. Mental health professionals at these facilities are trained to understand and treat mental health issues, both in individual and group settings.

Ohio's substance abuse treatment programs can support individuals struggling with drug and alcohol use. Typically available on an outpatient or inpatient basis, these programs employ evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and holistic approaches to provide effective addiction treatment. This comprehensive approach ensures long-term sobriety, improved mental health, and coping skills to overcome risk of relapse.

In Ohio, dual-diagnosis addiction treatment programs provide specialized care for individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders and mental health conditions. These programs offer outpatient, residential drug and alcohol rehab, and intensive outpatient options. Treatment usually includes a thorough mental health assessment, tailored treatment plan, various types of therapy, and education to equip you with the tools to achieve and maintain your sobriety.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Ohio may occur in individual, group, or family sessions. It involves focusing on specific thought and behavior problems. Participants learn coping techniques and are asked to practice them as homework between sessions.

The main goals of dialectical behavior therapy are to teach you how to regulate your emotions, develop positive ways to cope with stress, improve your relationships, and live in the moment. This therapy lasts about six months and involves weekly individual and group sessions.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

With trauma therapy, you can reclaim your life after witnessing or experiencing a traumatic event. Therapists help you process the memories, which promotes emotional healing and enables you to build resilience to navigate future challenges and triggers.

This place is terrible, the Dr had no idea what he is doing, does he even have a medical degree? The nurse practitioner I saw needed mental help worse then I did. This place is located in a very run down formal hospital that you have to dodge huge potholes to find a parking place . They are very good at miss diagnosing you and give you pill to make you even worse.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!

I was referred here by my therapist after I completed an Intensive Out Patient program and in my honest opinion their incompetence borders on negligence and malpractice. I was told after establishing care that they didn't want to make any changes to my medications until I spoke with Dr. Ali, which WOULD be reasonable if he could keep an appointment. It took me two months to actually talk to Dr. Ali. I made an in person appointment with him and he didn't show up for an hour and a half and at the hour and half point I was told they didn't know if or when he was planning to come in. After that I suggested we do a telephone appointment since it seemed difficult for him to keep in person appointments and I don't even know how many times, at least 6 or 7 times, I made an appointment to talk with him over the telephone and he did not call at the scheduled time. Typically he would call 5-6 hours later if at all. In that 2 month period NO progress was made on my medications and I felt like my mental state got worse from going to an Out Patient Program where I was seeing a psychiatrist weekly to inconsistent appointments and constant back and forth just to be stood up over and over and over again. When I finally spoke to Dr. Ali we spoke on the phone for about an hour and some change and I was shocked. I have been diagnosed with C-PTSD and I feel like that barely came up in our conversation. He told me he believed I fell on the Bipolar spectrum, which I don't feel is accurate at all and looking through these other reviews it appears that they are quick to diagnose people with Bipolar, and that the meds that I was given in my out patient program were making me worse. Prior to my program I was having memory nightmares and panic attacks every night and after starting them I was able to sleep and only occasionally have a panic attack. These meds saved my life and he told me they were making me worse and to stop them cold turkey. I want to caveat that the receptionists and LPN's here are very hardworking, communicative, and lovely but under Dr. Ali's stewardship that gets wiped away. And if any of them are reading this I want to urge you to seek employment elsewhere. I was initially not going to leave a review and was just going to change practices but when I thought about how much I've struggled with my mental health, passive death wish, suicide ideation and how my mental health did and could've potentially gotten much worse by continuing to seek help here I felt I had a duty to warn others. If you are struggling with your mental health and it has gotten to the point where it is preventing you from functioning normally DO NOT GO HERE. Seek services from literally anyone else.
