About New Vision – Cass Regional Medical Center
Next to Parris Park on the eastern side of Harrisonville, Missouri, you’ll find the Cass Regional Medical Center (CRMC). This hospital is fully equipped to provide for a number of physical and mental healthcare needs, including the needs of those looking to break free from addiction.
Through their New Vision program, they provide a safe space to go through detox and help with planning the next step in your recovery journey.
Making Detox Safe
Depending on the substance and the duration of use, detox can often be uncomfortable and even dangerous. At New Vision, they address both of these hurdles by monitoring your symptoms and providing medical care when needed, even if it’s just to keep you more relaxed.
Because this service is offered in a hospital, they’re open 24 hours a day to receive individuals experiencing substance related emergencies and help stabilize their symptoms.
Establishing a Discharge Plan
During the typical three day stay at the CRMC, they’ll also give you a few counseling sessions to evaluate your needs and learn more about your background.
With this information, they’ll put together a discharge plan that will give you helpful options for your next steps. They can also provide a referral to a trusted facility.

Accepted Insurance
Other Forms of Payment
Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.
Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.
Military members, veterans, and eligible dependents have access to specific insurance programs that help them get the care they need. TRICARE and VA insurance can help you access low cost or no cost addiction and mental health treatment. Programs that accept military insurance often have targeted treatment focused on the unique challenges military members, veterans, and their families face.
Addiction Treatments
Levels of Care
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is a short-term form of intensive rehab, usually for those with acute symptoms that are hard to manage but don’t require 24-hour care. PHPs have structured programming (i.e. individual and/or group therapy), and usually meet 3-5 days a week for around 6 hours (i.e. 9am-3m). Some PHPs are residential (patients sleep on site) and some are not, so patients sleep at home. PHPs can last from 1-6 months, and some offer transportation and meals.
Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
