I came to Rocky Mt. completely hopeless with little to no will left to live. My wife was divorcing me and I had been kicked out of our home. I was also bankrupt financially and spiritually!! The experience at Rocky Mt. literally saved my life. The staff are phenomenal and every single one of them were like family to me. This is more than treatment. This is a life changing experience!!

This place saved my life. When I arrived in August of 2024, I was a shell. The staff gave me hope and saw my future of recovery before I could. There is good, hard work to be done here, and they don't back down from a challenge. The schedule is appropriately full, giving clients myriad approaches to their mental and physical health. Food is excellent and the food staff are a delight to be around. Personally, the strongest part of the experience was the bonds I formed with other clients. Without much time, I remembered what it was to have relationships and experiences that were rich and needed no chemical enhancement. Today I'm thriving. I attend the weekly meetings via Zoom and feel a strong connection to Rocky and my experience there. Rocky is a wonderful place for anyone considering treatment!

This place saved my life! I was welcomed with open arms and no judgment! The scariest thing I have ever done was to admit I needed help, that my life was unmanageable. In less than 5 minutes, I knew I was exactly where I needed to be. Most of the staff have years of recovery wisdom. They know where you have been and how to help because once they were there too. They share their expirence, strength, and hope. I know my life is worthwhile, and so am I! Thank you, RMTC!

As a person who became dependent on medication for chronic pain for many years, I decided it was time to be out from under them. I hadn't worked with anyone on this before, so I was pretty intimidated. No reason! These people treat everyone with respect and decency, without judgement. Not to mention they were able to help me that very day, and helped me to feel so much better immediately! Just a great asset to those of us who are in similar situations, and I would recommend them to anyone trying to rid themselves of the ever growing gorilla on their backs, like me. If they can help me, of all people, they can help you too! Don't wait any longer, go get the life you deserve without the substance/(s) that you think make life easier! Full five star rating! Thank you CMS!

I got tired of being treated bad from certain doctors, I always felt like I was being judged or discriminated against or automatically accused of being a pill popper. My Native American friend suggested that I go to All Nations Medical Center and so I did and I am glad I did, I felt! real comfortable there, I felt like I mattered to Dr Kodi, and Johanna who isn't there anymore . I love the nurses too, they all took thier time making sure we had a game plan ahead to start feeling better. I consider All Nations my home. Thank you ❤️

I cannot say enough how fabulous the team working one evening were when I showed up with my son. He was in seriously rough shape very, didn't make it past the front door. Emt was called to get him to the hospital. The staff were truly amazing from how they treated my son in kindness, communicating with firm but soft tones. Tim went above and beyond to personally connect with my son as much as he could under the circumstances. He truly cared for his well-being. Tim negotiated for my son to be able to have a cigarette and calm down before he would let EMT help him. My son will be admitting it soon. If this is the level of care I can expect, I am deeply hopeful that my son will find his reason to get the help he needs. Thank you, Team. thank you, Tim. Amazing experience! I have just completed family week, visiting a family member and learning so much. I can not say enough great things about the staff or the program. We had a hiccup during our visit with our family member in treatment. It was taken care of in a timely, caring, fully supportive manner. I went for my family member, and I left learning about myself. I highly recommend that if you have a loved one or struggling yourself to consider Rimrock Foundation, my greatest thanks is to Polly for an amazing family program, Traci front desk for truly caring. And Melissa for going above and beyond for our family. Thank you, is just not enough.

Very grateful for community medical services. Maintenance gave me the opportunity to develop a lifestyle that was conducive to sobriety and the tools to create a life I never thought was imaginable. 5 years later I have my own business, a family, and a support system that allows me to deal with the road bumps that are a part of life’s journey. It’s never easy but it’s beyond worth it. I would recommend looking into the options that CMS offers to anyone that is struggling with addiction to narcotics or knows somebody who is!

Troy, Montana is home to Turning Winds, a residential treatment facility for adolescents aged 13 to 18 with mental health and drug abuse issues. Surrounded by magnificent mountains and an abundance of natural beauty, this facility is situated close to the banks of the South Fork Yaak River. A psychiatrist, certified teachers, and licensed clinician
I am writing this review to help to encourage any parents who are experiencing serious challenges/concerns with their son or daughter to give Turning Winds their full consideration. Like many of you who are exploring, we found an overwhelming amount of negativity out there surrounding programs like TW or others who may be similar. Fortunately we took the time to dive deeper, beyond the exaggerations, and both misleading and completely false narratives that have been created by individuals with some agenda that I cannot fathom. Instead we chose to weed through the garbage and looked at the positive reviews from the actual parents of kids that Turning Winds has helped. It was not a decision that we took lightly, nor one that we regret. It was the hardest decision we ever had to make, but one that has made all the difference for our son and family. As parents of a son was going down a very dark and destructive path, and one in which we were extremely concerned for our son's life; we can truly say that TW helped to save our son from a path that very likely would have ended up in death, serious legal consequences, or a broken family. It was scary as hell to put our trust in strangers and drop our son off in the middle of nowhere, thousands of miles from home. But now that he is back at home and doing so incredibly well, we can truly say it was the best decision either of us have ever made. We believe Turning Winds helped to save our son's life. For the kids, it's tough work. And it's hard work for you parents. It's not a summer camp or a country club like so many of the other options we had reviewed. Rules are made, kept, and consequences delivered. They are taught to be responsible to themselves, but also to those around them. They are also built up, learn to believe in themselves, and are given all of the tools to grow into young adulthood in a safe and caring way. Our son will be a healthier, better, stronger man for having this experience. We cannot say enough about the staff. They truly care. In many ways, they have become family and despite our son being back at home after many long months, there is regular communication and continued work...for our son and us, the parents. We dropped off a sixteen year old, whose behaviors and emotional condition were those of an 8 or 9 year old. Coming home, we felt we picked up a 16 year old who is far beyond his years from an emotional maturity standpoint and one who practices a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally, and spiritually. In addition, the support system that we now have as a family and/or as individuals is really impressive. The staff is there for us and there are parent groups that exist while your child is in Turning Winds and after they graduate from the program. We join calls bi-weekly with parents who are just beginning their journey and others whose child is 5+ years removed. All with the intent of helping each other to get through those difficult times, to provide helpful advice and support when you need it, all sharing the common connection of individuals who at some point almost lost hope that we had lost our child forever, but now have hope and promise for a great future. If you are at that crossroads and you just don't know what to do and what to believe, ask the TW staff if they can make a connection. We are more than happy to share our experience. We honestly don't know where we would be at this point had we not put our faith in the team at Turning Winds.

There are not enough words to describe how thankful I am for Turning Winds! They saved my son's life and for that I am ever grateful. Sending my son across the country to a place I had only seen in pictures was the hardest and scariest thing I have ever done. But I had done my resesarch for months and months, I knew it was the right decision. He was met with nothing but kindness and staff that truly cared about him and all the kids there. Within a few weeks or so, I was talking to my son more than I did at home when he lived in the same house with me. From our weekly therapy calls with his therapst, the weekly letter he would write me and the Saturday calls, they were real conversations. The deeper he got into the program, the more authentic the conversations became. The more he experienced activites and trips the more he began to value himself and realize the contributions he could make in this world. If I had to do it all over again, I would in a heartbeat. The hardest thing became the best thing I have ever done for him. I got my son back. He got his smile back. He laughed again. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They are some of the MOST caring, authentic, empathic, people I have ever met. They didn't just help Andrew - they helped all of us! We learned to become a family again with their help. They helped me through my fears of him coming home. They cared about all of us. I will forever be so thankful for each of them. They challenged him in ways he had never been challenged to get out of his comfort zone and becoming a leader of his peers. When we left after 10 months, we both had a hole - we went in as strangers and we came out with a family on the other side of the country! I never expected that, but I'm glad to know they will always be a part of our lives. They are amazing! Turning Winds is amazing! They are the cream of the crop when it comes to helping families and teens. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you.

I'm now 40 and came to this place back in 1999. I hated being there but to be fair didn't have much to complain about. Bt time is been there 6ish months I didn't want to leave. I learn so much being there that I'm still grateful to this day. I earned freedom to walk the grounds unsupervised with permission as well as helping give tours to potential clients. I rode horses often did cattle branding of calves of course and did artificial insemination. I did small engines and wood working along with horticulture which were all a blast. There was a lot that happened in the dorms with the girls but what do you expect when you have so many girls with sick am array of issues. A huge part of getting something from these programs is if you want to. If your ready to get better. The staff members were all fabulous I can't think of anyone who I didn't like. I always felt genuine concern from them. I was even given the privilege to go off campus 1x a week to do gymnastics. I still to this day have small decorated box given to me as a gift upon leaving from a staff member named Marilyn. When you opened it it has a tiny box with a small now that says it was filled with her love. I'm not sure what has happened but, this place turned my life around and who know where it be today without it. So Thank you so so so much. Sorry for the delayed post lol.

YBGR was lowkey really nice, I loved it there. The food isn’t top tier but it’s a pretty good treatment place in my opinion. Sometimes there’s some stupid and scary stuff that will happen like fights, but it is to be expected in treatment. But I liked it and I felt it was useful in the long run. I struggled with some staff but I really loved my staff in my lodge. Also, you will get consequences/accountability's for not following the rules, but I think it’s a good thing set in place to hold people accountable. (I’ve gotten a bit of a fair share of consequences so it’s from experience). The place really helped my confidence and mental health without making me a med zombie. They have a Chemical Dependency program and AA to try to help kids who struggle with substance abuse issues and they have very kind counselors with CD. Cheryl was my CD counselor and I felt like she listened to me. Also thankyou to my PM Emily and my favorite day staff Marcos and overnight Zach! They did a lot for me then they might’ve realized. Honest, treatment only works if your kid wants to work it. You can fight it and be miserable, or you can try to participate. And if you do, you’ll likely get somewhere. Please don’t blame the staff and foundation for the outcome, treatment can only work if you have the desire to get better. I was in Shumaker lodge!! 24-25

In a point in my life where I was planning to end my life, my primary provider calmly but firmly said I needed to check into an inpatient facility. I was taken to Logan Behavioral Health. From the moment I walked in every staff member was truly kind and caring. Very quickly the Dr that was assigned to me diagnosed me with PTSD. Most of my previous prescriptions were not made for PTSD. By the time I was discharged, I was stable and had tools to help me cope with the long process that I'm facing. From the Dr to the nurses to the pharmacist to MHS to HUC to the cooks and housekeeping, I can't express enough how much support and kindness they provided. It's truly an amazing facility focused on each patient. The food was excellent and the facility was always clean. Thank you all for what you do.

I was a patient at Pathways in 1997. I was 16yrs old. I had a bad drug and alcohol problem. I moved to Kallispell with my mother and her boyfriend from Milwaukee Wisconsin that year. My mother had me admitted into pathways because my drinking and drugs were too out of her control to handle anymore. I stayed there for almost 3 weeks but was discharged for being disruptive in the groups and was putting my fellow patients at risk for relapse. At the time I had no intention of staying clean. I was a mess. My mother had mental health issues of her own which was hard enough because we were homeless the whole time we lived in Kallispell. I'm now 43yrs old and not a day goes by where I don't wish I could do it over at Pathways. It was an excellent facility to go to for help with addiction. I now have 15yrs clean off drugs and alcohol. I had to want to stay clean for myself and not my parents. If I lived in Kallispell 15yrs ago when I first got clean I definitely would have chosen Pathways Rehabilitation Center. I apologize for all the trouble I gave the staff at Pathways when I was a patient there. They were good people with good intentions but when I was 16 I couldn't see that if I wanted to. The point of this review is to let the addicts out there know that in order to work a recovery program you have to do it for yourself and not someone else because you will keep falling off the wagon again and again until you truly want to stay clean and live a fulfilling lifestyle. I think if I had worked a program while I was a patient at Pathways they could have helped me.

New Day Ranch is located in Billings, Montana only 15 minutes away from downtown Billings. While you’ll be close to all the amenities of the city, this facility is nestled in nature among rolling hills, plains, grasslands and wooded areas. It is a peaceful vibe which is ideal for therapy and recovery programs. They specialize in serving troubled
This place saved my life. I’m a successful person within the community thanks to them. Great goal, lots of studies back the methods they use. Kids will be kids, some won’t listen. But the ones who do become successful. Remember, it’s a TREATMENT facility. It’s not for fun. It’s difficult, but so is learning the hard way. It does have some flaws though. Staff accountability lacks slightly. Punishment system was a bit overwhelming. They might have fixed these though. Stress is different than safety. It’s not impossible. Nor is it hard if the kids apply themselves

I use to go here. The staff? IS AMAZING 🤍 I loved their work and how they helped me. They are a great place to send your child. I enjoyed it here. Yeah you have to follow rules and such. I KNOW a lot of KIDS don’t like to do that and that’s why they tell lies to their parents about this place but MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE? It was a great place.

I am not sure if I am allowed to share Doctor's name but last night 8/20 Dr. C in the emergency room was awesome. I was in there something minor but he gave me great care and so did the nurses. I know ER's get a bad rap but I havr always been taken care of and seen in a timely manner.

Scott, wow, there is so much gratitude that we have for you in taking the time to write this review. Thank you for addressing the outside lies, and misleading smear tactics from a select few individuals who only seem to care about destroying the credibility of good treatment centers like Turning Winds. Thank you for entrusting your child into our care and for becoming part of the Turning Winds family. We look forward to sharing in the years ahead your continued journey. We hope the best for you and your family:-).

Kind Regards & Gratitude
