The ladies working up front were really nice. I took the ADSAP class and Monique was the counselor teaching it. She was super down to earth and easy to get along with and did a great class. The other 9 people in the class were also easy to get along with. All in all, I had a great experience.

What an outstanding experience at Dorchester, I enjoyed talking to my counselor, she actually seemed to care about her patients unlike some of my past counselors at other facilities, there is a structured program to follow that helps you to stay sober! I would recommend this center to anyone who needs a real change!
I love this place! Was the best place that I found help for my son! Miss Jackie is a wonderful person. She really cares.

I’ve lived in the Summerville area for years now.
Born & raised in Charleston, South Carolina.
Now raising three of my own in Summerville, (three beautiful girls)…
…& for those who know the process, it’s just not easy finding therapists/counselors/
psychologists/psychiatrists—
(whatever may have you ), all in one—
and I’ve been to MANY so far for my two oldest daughters.
I’ve seen reviews on here for Google on this specific location and they were not so good.
BUT— you can NOT always go off the reviews—first hand, & that’s coming from my personal experiences, because ALL of my visits so far have been absolutely amazing!!!!
The receptionist, “Shelly” is SO sweet, SO patient and super inviting.
In the event of me always rushing here to be on time, when I arrive all flustered—she just makes you feel at ease and it’s simply refreshing.
The building is spacious and very clean as well, so they do a great job with that.
The girls’s therapists are amazing as well and I’m still getting to know them, as it’s been our first couple visits so far! My oldest daughter’s is Mrs. Sanders—( she’s great & very personable).
I will update this review with my other daughter’s very soon.
So, if you are looking for therapy and medication either for yourself or your children & are also in the Summerville area— I highly recommend this place!! For me, it’s very convenient because it’s less than 10 minutes away. It’s a win-win. 😊
Thank you guys for all your hard work,
Nikki Gallagher.

I feel South Carolina's Mental Health is one of the worst but Palmetto Summerville Low Country is number 1. The staff, nurses therapist and Psychiatrist are very caring ,are very attentive to the needs of the adolescent that are hospitalized. I highly recommend this hospital, I felt my granddaughter got the best care. Thank you to all that was involved

My 15 year old daughter benefitted greatly from therapy and the staff. Her therapists Joy and Devine and her team reached her and helped her out of her negative self harming habits and gave her inner strength and ability to deal with things in a positive way. Thank you all.
By the way for all the haters, you probably did not attend to
Your case plans or your work. My daughter did. I have no negative things to say about Palmetto Summerville.
