About Advanced Addiction Treatment Center

Advanced Addiction Treatment Center is in Coral Gables, Florida. The center offers outpatient rehab for clients with addiction. They offer treatment for adults and young adults. Clients can pay for treatment with private insurance or self pay options.

Gender Specific Addiction Treatment in Scenic Coral Springs, Florida

The treatment center is located in Coral Springs, just off State Road 834 (also known as Sample Road). Coral Springs is a vibrant city full of small town charm with cultural attractions, natural beauty, and picturesque parks. The facility is close to the Everglades Wildlife Management Area and 10 miles from Lighthouse Point with docks, water access, and parks.

The treatment program offers gender specific programs to address the unique needs of men and women. It can be hard for clients to open up in front of the opposite sex. Gender specific programs make individuals feel comfortable and safe, making them better able to open up about their struggles, which leads to better treatment outcomes.

They have a young adult rehab program. The program supports young people as they face addiction while transitioning to adulthood. This transition can already be a difficult time, even without addiction or mental health issues.

Addiction Treatment for Court Referred Clients

The clinicians have experience treating many different types of clients including individuals referred from the judicial system. They welcome all clients including pregnant and postpartum women, clients with HIV/AIDS, veterans, and active military personnel.

Clients engage in education and therapy to help overcome their addictions, including opioid dependency. The program equips clients with better coping skills and strategies to avoid relapse.

Therapy helps clients get to the underlying mental health issues that contribute to their substance use. Group therapy emphasizes peer support and is a place where clients learn to accept and give each other support.

I am a firm believer in things happen for a reason. I had unfortunately relapsed (alcohol) about 45 days ago. I tried to get into a detox center that had a tech that I was familiar with. I had just finished drinking copious amounts of vodka over a 10 day binge. That center said they could get me in the next morning. I didn’t have the luxury of waiting so I went to the ER, stayed two nights there. The treatment center kept pushing it to the next day saying that a bed hasn’t opened due to other patients missing flights and other issues. My wife called around to a few places and unfortunately they didn’t take my Insurance. This actually ended up being very fortunate for me. One of the treatment centers called Broward Retreat. Paul Apanowicz called me shortly after and told me he was ready for me that day. I just got home from a 30 day stay at Broward Retreat. I am so thankful that the other place I considered didn’t have a bed for me. I truly believe through the wonderful techs, insightful therapists, caring nurses, and even a few patients, that Retreat of Broward was the exact place I needed to be. Friendly, caring staff from top to bottom. These people truly do care. I found the therapy, insights, tools I need to assist me in my recovery journey. I am confident and well equipped to start the rest of my life living sober. They do a great job of keeping food, drinks, and snacks stocked. My only complaint would be some of the meals were hit or miss. The outings were nice to get a little change of scenery and a bite to eat at different restaurants. Went to Pompano Pier a few times for a nice reset and recharge. The ocean has always given me peace and comfort. I’ll probably forget a few names, but what an amazing caring staff all around. Mike Stone (shift managing tech) and I became friends early in recovery there. He’s got a big heart and so much knowledge and inspirations to share. All five therapists were so incredibly helpful. Suzanne, Jake, Denise, Keisha, and Lisa. Michelle was always there in the mornings with great energy and a friendly smile. Q, Ty, Mike, Ida, Tia, Juan, the over night crew. I can’t say enough good things about these wonderful people. Shannon was always tirelessly helping everyone get what they needed. A special thank you to Paul for picking up the phone and reaching out! I don’t do reviews very often, and I usually think they are just fake reviews. I just felt compelled to share my experience there at Retreat of Broward. If you’re unsure, need help, need detox, Retreat of Broward is a great start to your recovery. Stay grateful and stay blessed. 🙏🏼 Travis Hawley

Everything about this place created what felt like home. From the techs to the nurses and all the way up the ladder. I felt safe and comfortable with ease. It’s nice to know there are good people in this industry still. Only 16 beds and a care team that exceeds expectations. Shout out to Q the driver for always making me laugh. I’m honestly thinking about coming back here, not to detox but to work and share the same love they gave me.

Other Forms of Payment

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn’t spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community  programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Treatment does not end when a person completes “Advanced Addiction Treatment”. Clients are encouraged to to participate in the continuing care services which encompasses relapse prevention plan monitoring.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Drug rehab in Florida provides quality treatment to help individuals overcome dependency related to a wide range of addictive substances. Programs address both the physical and mental aspects of addiction in order to help you make a full recovery.

Many of those suffering from addiction also suffer from mental or emotional illnesses like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, or anxiety disorders. Rehab and other substance abuse facilities treating those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder administer psychiatric treatment to address the person's mental health issue in addition to drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

A combined mental health and substance abuse rehab has the staff and resources available to handle individuals with both mental health and substance abuse issues. It can be challenging to determine where a specific symptom stems from (a mental health issue or an issue related to substance abuse), so mental health and substance abuse professionals are helpful in detangling symptoms and keeping treatment on track.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Whether a marriage or other committed relationship, an intimate partnership is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Drug and alcohol addiction affects both members of a couple in deep and meaningful ways, as does rehab and recovery. Couples therapy and other couples-focused treatment programs are significant parts of exploring triggers of addiction, as well as learning how to build healthy patterns to support ongoing sobriety.

Eating disorders include anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and dysfunctional eating patterns. Many psychologists and other mental health professionals consider eating disorders to be food addictions, meaning food is being used in an addictive way (similar to drug or alcohol addiction). Certain substance abuse treatment programs will have treatment for eating disorders as one of the services offered. An eating disorder may also present as a co-occuring disorder or dual diagnosis alongside drug and alcohol addiction.

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation. Advanced Addiction Treatment Center - Coral Springs believes addiction is a family disease. Being close to an addicted person creates creates its own set of unique problems. Addicts and family members alike share feelings of denial, guilt, shame, and confusion. No one is to blame. Families did not cause the disease, cannot control it, and cannot cure the disease. The relapse rate of addicts is decreased markedly as the family learns about addiction and develops healthy behaviors.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
