About AJI Counseling
AJI Counseling is a counseling center located in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They serve those involved with the criminal justice system through specialized substance abuse treatment, prevention and education. The center focuses on empowering clients to achieve sobriety and make informed decisions.
Their holistic approach addresses both physical dependencies and psychological triggers to foster long term recovery for adults, seniors and young adults. The center offers most classes online.
Outpatient Flexible Care
Their outpatient programs are ideal for those who have completed detox or are in good medical condition. This allows you to live at home while attending treatment. Services include individual and group counseling which emphasize peer support and shared experiences.
Helpful Services For Legal Issues
Their flagship Alcohol Drug Information School (ADIS) is available in eight and 16 hour formats and has a Spanish language option. The school also educates first time DUI offenders and others on the effects of drugs and alcohol.
The Victim Impact Panel (VIP) raises awareness about the consequences of impaired driving through real life narratives. The 12 hour ACT Class combines ADIS and VIP for a comprehensive approach that is often court mandated and provides completion certificates.
Fostering Accountability
What stood out to me is that they also have a youth program for ages 12-18. The program promotes substance use prevention through education. Clients praise Jake’s caring demeanor and the interactive and supportive environment, noting its effectiveness in fostering accountability. This facility is conveniently located just off of interstate 95 not far from the University of Idaho, Coeur d’Alene

Treatments
Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.
Clinical Services
Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
