This methadone clinic is likely the best of the bunch. They still drop the ball at times though. I have gotten conflicting information from different staff members on several occasions. When it results in missing a dose I get pissed off. But, like I said, this one is likely the best of the 3 in town. It is a non profit, all that means is the owners are on the payroll. They don't like to leave paper towels in the bathroom. They know people are going to UA for them but refuse to follow sanitary procedures, disgusting. Just downright unsanitary hogs, Sickening!!!!!!!!

I loved the place and its staff. The location is good. Great view of the mountains. A good size backyard to have fun in during the summer. A basketball hoop to enjoy throwing the ball in on some days. The food is very good. And have a potlach with other treatment facilities which I think is good to commune with others in the same situation as I. Was able to get lots of help for my addiction. I graduated from here a few years back then not listening to referrals for outpatient I started using again after working. With more of a committed ability I have now I am motivated for another try to figure this out and I feel safe going aback to Chanlyut. I was treated with outmost respect and dignity. Got good knowledgeable skills and had fun that I thought I wasn't going to have again. The sauna is very helpful during spiritual time. I absolutely enjoyed it. Our meetings were always appropriate and respectable to us as individuals in addiction. I felt it was. The outings were always fun to enhance out natural chemistry of dopamine. I did feel a urgently feeling of wanting to live on its terms again. I laugh at that because of my back to addiction life but now it's not a joke because of life is precious. I hope I feel this message will reach out to many. And hope that many are finding hope from this disease of addiction.

I moved to Kenai Dec 2022. I registered with the Kenaitze Tribe. They take such good care of me. My PA-C has sent me for an echocardiogram in Anchorage. They flew me there and paid for flight and taxi vouchers. He's had me get full physicals, mammogram, and colonoscopy. I get to be cared for by the dentist and optometrist. I'm one of those people who would probably rather die than see a doctor. I'm new to the VA Clinic even though I'm a 20+ year veteran -- I never stepped inside one before. I feel fortunate to have this team see me today, and I'm probably the worse kind of patient to have because I don't wish to do all the screening tests that are needed. I know I need to see health care providers after decades of not seeing anyone and having arthritis issues, but I've no health insurance at this point in my life. Please know that everyone at this VA clinic were all very, VERY kind and understanding. I feel badly for our fellow veterans who said they feel they experienced inadequate care here, but I experienced only top notch care and was treated with ultimate respect. I want to send a HUGE shout-out to Kelly and Melissa at Check-in and Check-out and especially to Krystyna (RN) and Dr, Banczak. They're lovely people and beyond amazing.

I have had nothing but great care from this place. My nurse, Krystina (spelling) is upbeat, ultra helpful , and super nice. I am so glad to have VA care over traditional medical options. The VA provides me top-tier care, and it’s not financially based like traditional healthcare options. They are correcting years of healthcare neglect that occurred because I dislike the medical industrial complex throughout our great country. I love the VA!
