Alliance Behavioral Services

Alliance Counseling is located in Groton, Connecticut. They offer outpatient mental health services along with in-home, school- and community-based treatment including individual psychotherapy, group counseling, and trauma-related counseling for adults, seniors and young adults.

Services are offered in person and through telehealth services. They provide specialized services to LGBTQ+ clients as well as those suffering from anxiety and ADHD. They also support clients who have experienced trauma, persons 18 and older with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and those dealing with anger management issues.

Animal-Assisted Therapy and Other Optios

Along with conventional therapy, Alliance offers art and play therapy, interpersonal and systemic therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, educational intervention and advocacy and psychoeducation.

I find it rewarding to know that they also offer Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT), which is effective in reducing anxiety and depression, improving social interactions, and even potentially aiding in pain management.

For payment options, Alliance offers in-network with most insurance plans and will bill your insurance for out-of-network benefits, often being able to match in-network out-of-pocket costs. For patients without insurance, they offer self-pay and sliding-scale fee options and accept multiple payment forms including cash.
