I was there inpatient and is not as bad as this ppl make seem to be those it needs a few improvements yes but the staff and management do what they can with the amount of ppl is in there. I'm glad I was able to be in this place it save my live

I'm so grateful for this program I've learnt some much about myself and why I would do things I did in my active addiction and how to cope the correct way and the staff is awesome I'm so grateful

CarePlus honestly saved my life. While it s primarily group therapy focused, Sheri was an excellent facilitator (and therapist) for the group (and on an individual basis, as well). If you need support regarding mental health and/or overcoming substance use, this is the best facility in the area for PHP/IOP. From the first day, you can tell the faculty actually cares and wants you to succeed in overcoming any challenges you face regarding mental health/substance use. With the help of their case workers, their support goes beyond just your treatment which helps you feel supported even outside of PHP/IOP. Highly recommend CarePlus to anyone in need of this care.

My Mom had a wonderful experience at Stony Brook Eastern Long Island hospital! The care she received was exceptional! We were so impressed with how quick the response time was by the staff when the call button was pushed. The staff at every level was kind, caring, patient and professional. They went out of their way to make my Mom s extended visit comfortable. Mom appreciated some of the staff s humor and detailed explanations. My mother is legally blind and the staff went out of their way to help guide her with meals and walks with lots of detailed verbal cues. As you can see, Mom made the best of her stay ringing in the New year on 2North. I never thought I would review a hospital but I had to do this one. I ve been going to ELIH sporadically since I ve lived in Greenport 20 years ago. And I ve had experiences ranging from bad to okay to good.Unfortunately, this morning, I had to go to the ER again at 3 AM- 9am. Every single staff member, Nurses, doctors, radiology, and reception, they all treated me amazingly. Of course it was a horrible time for me, but they all were nice and receptive and understanding. Normally, I do anything I can to get out of going, which I m sure is what everybody does, but I had to bite the bullet. Probably one of the only times I don t regret that I went.Truly, it was the best experience I ve ever had in the hospital. The ELIH staff deserves all the praise!!!

I ve had a wonderful experience with sound community service.the staff is incredibly welcoming and compassionate, always making sure everyone feels supported.the sense of community here is amazing and I ve felt right at home from the start. Knowing the staff has to deal with some difficult people 'i get why they might have a attitude once in awhile. This program probably saved my life but it definitely changed since I've been coming here for 22 years. Seems to me that the MONEY is mostimportant to this place' but that's the sad part I am grateful for this place still the same. Thanks.

Anyone wishing to get a hold on their behavioral health and addiction(s) this is the place. The counselor I see is great. She works with me to improve my options and recieve more detailed care. IOP program here is fantastic. The only issue is you need to do your best to follow their rules and regulations. It may seem strict and you may want to complain when something goes wrong. A proper attitude and genuine willingness to improve are your best tools for recovery. They want the best for you.

Behavioral Health and Addiction Services. Intensive out patient services. A medication treatment option. Something I would highly recommend. I'm 56 years old now and I've been on the program since 1992 so I think it's given me an extra 30 plus years of life. Thank you Root center.

I have completed 11 years of sobriety thanksvto the Pines..Edsel was.my counselor and he wasngreat..but mostly I needed to be away from everything and the 90 day stay provided a solid detox..Ivwssxa self pay and $1800 a month was a deal...the place is old and buildingv1 for new arrivals smells like asd because of the chemicals coming out ofbus but no doubt the Pines savrd my life

I love this place because my Counselor there Ms.Mary Jones cares about helping clients..She gives all she have into helping the clients learn to love themselves. ..I am so very blessed to have graduated from there..Now I am living a life that God intended me to have..Thank You Ms.Jones...Special K....

I am a recent graduate of this program. I referred myself because of serious depression, anxiety, and alcohol overuse. The staff is wonderful - attentive, caring people who have lived what you’re going through. I think almost everyone would benefit from more insight and tools to deal with life’s difficulties.

Excellent service provided by empathetic/qualified staff. Efficient medication management. Great community support system.

My therapist is wonderful. The front desk ladies I’ve felt with are awesome too. Only had a few appointments here and I’ve seen some improvement already.

What an amazing program with amazing staff running it . After 33 days total being there I am now home and living a sober lifestyle. I could not be more thankful . And proud of myself . Thank you ELIH for your heartfelt help and dedication to my treatment . I will never forget.

I was told I had no inpatient programs in my area but Jim took my call and was very very nice he spoke with me about other options and other treatments that I could look into . Jim told me about hotlines that I could call into and get service quickly and I appreciate the time he spent on the phone with me as I was having a pretty hard time finding treatment options thanks Jim for your dedication to your work I appreciate the time of day that you gave me to help me even though I could not be a part of any of your programs as they were too far out of state

I have had the honor of being accepted into the program, the class and meeting are well put together, they do have the skills you need to be successful in your recovery, you just need to be completely focused on your recovery and dedicate yourself to that, because if you don't the program will not work. I sit back and watch women complain and iI see them same women not fully applying themself to the program, if you want something to work you have to read and do what the instructions say or you're not going to get it right, and you tend to blame the program. 1st I believe the consistent use of the cell phones are a major distraction to our recovery while we are here, there are unit phones that can be used. Also, the rules need to be enforced more and taken serious by the clients, the disrespect between the clients are childish in this moment, so staff are in high stress due to the disrespect they receive by the clients, please don't believe all the wrong things you here about this program. I am an addict and in recovery, we have a tendency to say things out of anger and when things don't go our way. this program really works, but only if you work it.... truly, sincerely Ms. Keyonna Fontes 7/4/24

I don't know about all programs but options in SMHA has great therapists and med providers I have been going here 3 years and overall I would highly recommend it.

It's stupid

I recently started therapy sessions here as well as having my first medication management appointment just the other day. I do see Joy for therapy and feel extremely comfortable sharing with her which I ve had a hard time doing in the past. I m excited to work on my goals and continue working with Joy, I am so happy I have had the opportunity to meet with her. She really listens and has such a calming and kind presence about her, thank you so much Joy You are amazing ! And I had my medicine appointment with Barbara and she was also very kind , actually listened to you and your concerns, she definitely cares about her patients and that can be rare to find .. I appreciate you both and as well as the extremely kind and attentive front desk. I m very happy with my experiences so far !
