About Assessment and Treatment Associates

Home to beautiful parks, a bustling economy, and top schools is Bellevue, Washington. The city also features Assessment and Treatment Associates. This outpatient treatment center provides addiction and mental health care for adults. They accept multiple insurances like BlueCross, Lifewise, Regence, and Premera.

You can access partial hospitalization (PHP) intensive outpatient (IOP), or standard outpatient (OP) rehab to meet you where you are in recovery. They provide an integrated approach with treatment best practices and holistic interventions. You can participate in assessments, psychiatric consultations, individual and group counseling, medication management, and wellness exams.

Healing You Wholly

What stands out most to me is their holistic approaches. They prioritize healing the mind, body, and soul to promote long term recovery. You can participate in yoga, health and wellness services, meditation, and art therapy. They also offer eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) to help you work through and overcome trauma. I think this is wonderful because you’ll gain new coping skills and self-expression outlets to sustain recovery.

Natural Recovery With AcuDetox

Another great feature I noticed was how they offer AcuDetox. This approach can serve as an alternative to medications in the detox process. AcuDetox can reduce the cravings and withdrawal symptoms associated with quitting substances using acupuncture. I like that you’ll have this option, especially if you don’t want to include medications in your recovery journey.

Legal Support for a Fresh Start

Lastly, I think their legal services are beneficial. You can access various services for court-ordered treatment, including drug and alcohol evaluations, DUI services, deferred prosecution programs, Alcohol & Drugs Information School, and domestic violence treatment. You’ll benefit from a second chance to change harmful behaviors and gain essential coping skills.

A change of scenery can also be helpful. There are plenty of community sites that can accompany a recovery. Highland Park is just down the road and offers a chance to stretch your legs and even play ball. Their skate park is next door.

I have been through four rehabs. I came to ATA because my attorney sent me to them. I was arrested for DUI. My checkered past with rehabs came from jobs or family members pressuring me. I ignored everything until I was arrested. I had a blackout and drove. I could have killed people. Everyday I see the news and read about people who drive drunk and killed people. I am blessed not to be in the news. My assessment from ATA opened my eyes. I have had a lot of violence and trauma in my life, but I have to take responsibility for my choices in life. I am grateful for the compassion and guidelines i got from the relapse prevention program. ATA did everything to make me grow. They did not lock me into a never ending program for their own profit.

Accepted Insurance

Assessment and Treatment Associates works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient
Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient
Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

Effective drug rehab in Washington integrates care for the whole person, offering comprehensive solutions to addiction. Treatment methods address mental, physical, and relational aspects of substance abuse.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

adult-program thumbnail image
Adult Program
Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.
young-adult-program thumbnail image
Young Adult Program
Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

Tried to do my assessment here but I constantly faced one obstacle after another. Ended up so frustrated that I ended up looking for someplace else where I immediately got the help that I needed.

I never thought I'd be giving a 5 star review to a treatment facility, but here we go: As I'm sure most people are, I was nervous and a bit scared to be starting treatment, but having Liz as my counselor made everything easier. She is great at her job and also still has fun with her sessions. It was just enough to ease the stress of everything else going on in life. She's personable, easy to talk to, and actively listens. Gary also helped reduce my stress with financing. He is super understanding if a payment is late, and always willing to work with you. It was helpful not having to stress about money since I had no insurance to help pay for treatment. 10/10 would recommend

Liz was my counselor and she was extremely welcoming. It was hard to start the journey at the treatment center and she was able to show that she genuinely cared for each person which made it easier to keep showing up everyday. Knowing there are people who care about what they do and help you through one of the toughest parts of your life made my experience at the treatment center is a great feeling.

ATA has been a wonderful resource to help provide guidance, balance and inspiration. Liz has been wonderful at bringing insight, holding people accountable, while a positive and supportive vibe for everyone she interacts with. I've appreciated her individualized methods to ease a challenging journey, making sure to encourage and remind that this isn't a solo adventure. She easily connects with people which allows for them to work on all aspects of life together. The entire ATA team has been incredibly nice and welcoming at every point of interaction. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a safe landing space to learn and grow!
