About Boise Rescue Mission Ministries – New Life Program

Boise Rescue Ministries – New Life Discipleship Program emphasizes spiritual development and recovery-focused life-skills training. Programming is funded through charitable donations.

The gender-separated residential programs offer 12-24 months of treatment and allow clients to focus on their recovery in a highly structured and supportive environment. The program emphasizes clients’ spiritual growth and healing as a cornerstone of lasting recovery. Clients engage in daily Bible study, prayer, and devotions. They also participate in extensive individual, group, and family counseling and age-specific and gender-specific life-skills training. Recovery education may address topics such as coping, self-care, wellness, and relapse prevention. The program also prioritizes clients’ community reintegration and independent living skills and may include training in topics such as job readiness, financial and household management, and parenting.

Aftercare services ensure a complete continuum of care aligned with clients’ evolving needs. These may include step-down support, academic and vocational training, employment and housing assistance, and referrals for medical, mental health, and social service programs.

The worst shelter I have ever stayed at. Not because of the facility. But because of the staff. Specifically someone named Steve who seems to take pleasure in having authority and power over other homeless people. Which is really sad and pathetic This place was actively unhelpful, kicks people out at the slightest provocation and has cold showers. Bugs. The least comfortable beds I've seen since jail. Awful food. It's better than nothing. Just barely. My life didn't get better until I went to California where they actually know how to help homeless people.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Treatments

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Clinical Services

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Dec 20th 4:53pm. This is a timestamp for a phonecall recieved and got a incredibly RUDE representative. My partner was involved in a car accident and could not properly attend a pickup. So we get some rude individual who calls and said we are wasting their time. Hello, life happens and more important things happen. If your miserable enough to call someone and call them a waste of time and be rude, get a life.

Boise Rescue Mission truly goes above and beyond in serving our community. We have been involved with them for over 24 years, and throughout that time they have consistently shown compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment to helping those in need in Boise and Nampa. They don’t just provide shelter, but they offer hope, restoration, and real transformation. From meeting physical needs to sharing the Gospel, their mission impacts lives at a deep and lasting level. We have personally seen countless people helped, restored, and given a new direction in life because of the work they do. Boise Rescue Mission has played a major role in changing our community for the better. Their faith-driven approach, dedication to excellence, and genuine care for people set them apart as one of the best shelters and ministries in the area. We are incredibly grateful for their leadership, staff, and volunteers, and for the lasting impact they continue to make. Amen 🙏
