Glenn always has positive and straightforward answers or questions to what you might be dealing with. Ron is the group counselor and he will let you get whatever is bothering you or even daily life issues out into the group for discussion. Just checking in on you guys. Thank You for all your help and the tools to stay clean. I left about four years ago and was at 120 . After about 45 days of going thru withdrawals I finally gave in to Suboxone. My next step is the shot. Hi Bill and glad to see you're still here. TY for always being cool and I'll never forget you. I think I was 518 and can only imagine what number you're on today!! Addicts do recover when they choose to!!!! Ty QBH for the tools to stay clean by making me go to group and therapy 🙌. Which made me start going to NA meetings. I believe in early recovery you gotta do 90/90. 90 meetings in 90 days to start change 😉😎. Remember to give yourself a break and get into NA to start working the steps of NA. The books how and why were my best tools. You must have a sponsor to work the steps. You can't do the steps alone because how do you know if you're doing them right 👍 and you'll have a friend forever.

Went for help with my hearing aids. No appointment. Young lady at reception was very kind and informative. I received it by USPS the very next day. This location is 1 hour away so my retrieving it wound not be convenient. Wonder assistance and a nice note explaining the issue was in the box sent me.

This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

I cannot put into words how wonderful this place is. The staff are top notch and extremely knowledgeable in the addiction and recovery arena. They provide outside meetings so you can gain support. Extremely grateful for this recovery center.

Didn't know what to expect for the evaluations. My son is 3, and they just played with him. He had fun. The phone calls I did prior were long, but well planned out and filled with great questions we have had a great experience so far.

I got sick on our vacation and stopped here. The receptionist, nurses, xray tech, lab tech and Dr. Macke were wonderful to me. I'm not a patient there, I just walked in. I received excellent care. Thank you to them all.

I want to give a shout out to Bay Mills Health Center. This amazing state of the art hidden gem is not far down the road from the casino in Brimley. It's professional team of staff persons are so friendly and easy to work with. I made an appointment at the vision clinic and got one for the next day! I was so happy to learn that they accept non-native patrons. They also accept public insurance. I had no wait time when I was there , also. They have state of the art equipment that takes detailed digital photos that shows every vein in your eyes. The equipment quickly determined what my new visual prescription would be. I also loved that the posts along the entrance walk had reminders of character qualities of excellence, written in both Ojibway and English. I might add that their staff demonstrated the things promoted there. I can't say enough good things about this place and want to encourage you, if your looking for services, to consider this facility.

Provided this post on LinkedIn but wanted to also provide it here to those who don’t have social media …. I want to take a moment to recognize the team at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Over the past year I decided to start using the VA for my healthcare. Like many veterans, I had heard different stories over the years, but my personal experience has been outstanding. From the very first appointment the process was smooth and professional. I was called in at the exact time my appointment was scheduled. A nurse came in within a couple minutes and walked me through how the VA system works and the services available. Shortly after that my doctor came in, reviewed my medical history, and immediately started coordinating follow up care. I have had several knee surgeries over the years, so we scheduled MRIs to take a closer look. What really stood out was how efficient everything was even before the appointment. The VA had already scheduled my blood work and knee X rays. I walked into the Battle Creek facility, signed in for blood work, waited about three minutes, and the nurse took care of everything in less than ten minutes. Then I walked down the hall for my X rays. Again, the entire process took less than ten minutes. Professional, friendly, and very efficient. After my appointment they also scheduled a vision exam. That experience was just as smooth. Any medications I needed were mailed to my house within days, and my glasses arrived within a couple weeks. The entire experience has been excellent, and I truly appreciate the people who make it happen every day. The team at the Battle Creek VA has been fantastic. Veterans deserve great care, and my experience here has shown me that there are people working hard every day to deliver it.
