About Hope Center Ministries – Waverly Men’s Center

The Waverly Men’s Center in Waverly, Tennessee is part of Hope Center Ministries. They offer Christian substance abuse recovery programs. The Waverly Men’s Center program is 12 months and for adult males.

They use biblical principles and a 12-step program to help addicts become free from addiction and devout disciples of Jesus Christ. On weekends, residents can attend one of the sponsored churches along with their families.

Their 12-month program has three phases that help residents progress towards independence. A part of the program is to reunite families and rebuild trust with loved ones.

During the four weeks that are phase one, clients will begin their spiritual development and begin the 12 steps. You’ll participate in bible study, devotions and reflections as well as lay counseling in one-on-one and group sessions. You’ll be given daily chores and enjoy family visits and recreational activities. The sponsoring churches provide pastoral care and more.

Phase 2 of the program is 40 weeks. Here your program will evolve to fit your needs. You might begin vocational training. This 40-hour commitment helps you gain real-world skills and gain references for employment after you leave the program.
The final 8 weeks is the third phase. Here, you’ll continue everything from the previous two stages but will get more privileges such as using a personal phone and car. You’ll begin to earn income for your life after graduation and prepare for transitioning back to the community.

There is a $700 admission fee. If you can’t afford this cost, there are donors who can cover the fee on your behalf.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

sober-living iconSober Living Homes

After completing phase 1 and phase 2, residents move to the "Community Living". This phase offers the opportunity to make a transition back into the society and community, while still under a lower level of care and supervision by the staff. Residents are expected to obtain and maintaining a job, a sponsor of mental that will help them with the transition. Residents are also expected to attend meetings, church services individual sessions per week, aftercare groups, groups sessions and Celebrate Recovery groups.

12-step icon12-Step

12-step programs are addiction recovery models based on Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). A number of substance abuse programs (including some drug and alcohol rehab centers) use the 12 steps as a basis for treatment. Beginning steps involve admitting powerlessness over the addiction and creating a spiritual basis for recovery. Middle steps including making direct amends to those who've been hurt by the addiction, and the final step is to assist others in addiction recovery in the same way. 12-Step offshoots including Narcotics Anonymous (NA), Cocaine Anonymous (CA), Dual Recovery Anonymous (DRA), Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Gamblers Anonymous (GA).

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Residents that successfully completed the program are allowed to receive a free 45 day Reconnection Program.

Treatments

The goal of treatment for alcoholism is abstinence. Those with poor social support, poor motivation, or psychiatric disorders tend to relapse within a few years of treatment. For these people, success is measured by longer periods of abstinence, reduced use of alcohol, better health, and improved social functioning. Recovery and Maintenance are usually based on 12 step programs and AA meetings.

When your day-to-day life is taken over by drug use, this is known as substance use disorder. If you abruptly stop using your drug of choice, you experience withdrawal symptoms. To overcome this cycle, professional drug rehab in Tennessee is usually needed.

Opioid rehabs specialize in supporting those recovering from opioid addiction. They treat those suffering from addiction to illegal opioids like heroin, as well as prescription drugs like oxycodone. These centers typically combine both physical as well as mental and emotional support to help stop addiction. Physical support often includes medical detox and subsequent medical support (including medication), and mental support includes in-depth therapy to address the underlying causes of addiction.

Substance rehabs focus on helping individuals recover from substance abuse, including alcohol and drug addiction (both illegal and prescription drugs). They often include the opportunity to engage in both individual as well as group therapy.

Programs

Adult Program

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Young Adult Program

Young adulthood can be an exciting, yet difficult, time of transition. Individuals in their late teens to mid-20s face unique stressors related to school, jobs, families, and social circles, which can lead to a rise in substance use. Rehab centers with dedicated young adult programs will include activities and amenities that cater to this age group, with an emphasis on specialized counseling, peer socialization, and ongoing aftercare.
program-for-men thumbnail image

Program For Men

Men face specific challenges and concerns when seeking addiction treatment. Gender-specific recovery programs help them tackle these issues head-on in an environment that's focused, targeted, and distraction-free. It also gives them the opportunity to connect with and learn from other men who have been through a similar journey and can offer support for the next step.

Clinical Services

Research clearly demonstrates that recovery is far more successful and sustainable when loved ones like family members participate in rehab and substance abuse treatment. Genetic factors may be at play when it comes to drug and alcohol addiction, as well as mental health issues. Family dynamics often play a critical role in addiction triggers, and if properly educated, family members can be a strong source of support when it comes to rehabilitation.

Group therapy is any therapeutic work that happens in a group (not one-on-one). There are a number of different group therapy modalities, including support groups, experiential therapy, psycho-education, and more. Group therapy involves treatment as well as processing interaction between group members.

In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.

Life skills trainings involve all the skills a person must have in order to function successfully in the world. These include time management, career guidance, money management, and effective communication. Truly successful addiction recovery is based on the ability to not only live substance-free, but to thrive. Life skills teaches the practical necessities of functioning in society, which sets clients up for success in life, and therefore sobriety.

Recreational therapy (aka therapeutic recreation) uses creative and fun activities to help with addiction recovery. Recreational therapists lead patients in entertaining and engaging activities like sports or games; art (drawing, painting, sculpture); drama, music, and dance; and/or community outings (field trips) to improve patients' physical, social, and emotional well-being.

I really like the program. One of the best available. I've tried others that were way too expensive. Took money and kicked you out in a couple of weeks. These people are nice and care. They will try again and again. I highly recommend.

I wouldn't recommend it at all. My son was there for 3 months and because they couldn't keep him at a job they made him leave and got a warrant for him leaving and had him put in jail, after they kicked him out. This place is a scam/joke they get there money and then your on your own. They do that so they can make room for other guys and get there money and then there done with you. They really fooled me and his mother!

I am a family interventionist and have been in recovery for over 16 years. Although Hope center ministries has had some growing pains their core is true service. I have seen men facing unbearable situations go through Hope center and come out productive members in the community and not return to incarceration or addiction.

This is a workhouse/group home/cult. If you love your family member do not send them here. I barely escaped without being brainwashed.

People are really nice and it's a great cause but the prices are outrageous. They have flip flops from dollar general that's is priced the same as brand new in the store. The prices are like new items not used DONATED items. It's supposed to help the community as well as the ministry. We shop at thrift store because we can't afford to shop new prices
