Been going to Family Guidance for awhile now and I absolutely recommend this methadone clinic to anyone struggling with opiate addiction. The staff are mostly friendly and it's easy to get into the clinic within a day or two. Once you get to the correct methadone dose the dope sickness is mostly gone and then you can slowly get back to a normal life. I've had a few counselors since going here and all were nice and professional but my current one Gary is Awesome. He seems to really care and is always helpful. I would most likely be dead if I didn't sign up at Family Guidance. If you're looking for a way to stop using dope give this clinic a try.

My dad was brought here for continued care, and I can confidently say this is the best LTACH we’ve experienced. Most of the employees here are incredibly compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring. The staff overall are truly GREAT!
Starting with the 3rd floor Nursing Manager, Joshua — an exceptional leader. He is understanding, a great listener, and was consistently supportive. He made a difficult time so much more bearable for our entire family. We are truly grateful for his presence and professionalism.
A big thanks also goes to the night-shift Nurse Supervisor, Chris, who was equally outstanding and always on top of things.
The nursing team deserves major recognition as well. Sylvia is top tier, and Andrea, Brigitte, Fidaa, Bosky, Jennifer, Dorian, Ritchie, Rincy, and Agaa were all excellent and deeply caring throughout.
Respiratory Tech Joby stood out for his professionalism and kindness, along with team members like Vikram, Mercy, Billy, Benzie, and Anna. Unfortunately, I have to give 4 stars instead of 5 due to one very poor experience with a tech named Sheena, which did affect our overall impression of the respiratory department.
I also want to commend the wonderful security team at the main entrance — Fedle, Bob, and Jerry were always warm and helpful. Special shoutout to Jasimine for her positive attitude.
There are many more staff members whose names I can’t recall, but they all contributed to a truly positive experience. If you’re considering this facility for a loved one, I wholeheartedly recommend it. You can bring your family member here with peace of mind knowing they’ll be well cared for.

Great staff and very helpful during a rough time because chances are, if you need to come here, its court ordered. This is the most affordable place to take your classes and even of you are a low risk you will be surprised what you learn and take away from these classes. Mario, Amanda, and Frank are awesome from my time spent there in 2005 and they (plus others I've never met) have been excellent for my fiancee who had a whopping 75hrs to complete. This place is really great.

LOVE, LOVE this clinic!!!! Only clinic my husband & I have joined that treat you with the upmost respect. Melanie & Kim go above & beyond their jobs plus more. They make sure your all set up & don’t need any other resources also. My counselor Chris is unbelievable! First counselor I’ve had that can relate & I actually want to talk & open up. Getting a dui was a very terrifying, embarrassing, humiliating experience for me but Tom Stamas and the Adult Children Center helped me more than I can say.
They truly do care about you. It IS a family practice and that's exactly how they treat you.

Tom was awesome! I had been to a few different places for my alcohol evaluation and although pricey.... Tom was worth it! I felt so comfortable with him and highly recommend!!

Wonderful People! They turned my problems and issues into a fun learning experience. I would recommend anyone that needs DUI counseling to go in. I've been here twice... Certainly the best 28 day program in the area. Two amazing counselors who educate residence on addiction and push and motivate them to be better. I am grateful to this place however ashamed that I relapsed again after two stays here. They certainly did there best... And do not take into account the bad reviews. If you've been to several programs and treatment centers around Chicago then you know HAS is one of the better ones.
HAS, Keep up the good work and thank Hose for giving me so many chances, you guys help those who want it. I hope I can visit on better terms someday!

I was there and now im 3 years clean. Good place to go if your serious and ready to find a new way to live. I'm forever thankful to all the counselors and the cooks who took there time on showing love and helping me get out of that hell I was in.. I still miss that church they used to take us every other weekend with Pastor Steve still can't find it. God bless and stay safe...

I absolutely love this clinic. I've been to three different ones and this was the four one and the best. Easy to talk to. They make you feel like you have a chance. Of course you have to believe but it does help when someone helping you believe in you.

Guess dosed there Saturday & received a take home on Sunday, had a great experience Jes the receptionist was so wonderful the nurse was also so wonderful they all made it easy and were all so kind and welcoming. I will definitely be going back when I visit IL again.

We forget while no people or place are perfect we have a level of care and rights others do not. I'm a cargiver for a Navy Veteran who I have brought here several times. They've treated her health with the upmost respect, urgency, and I have to put that out there. The only thing it's hard to get ahold of help for housing and financial assistance. I went here for rehab 28 day impatient program! I’m grateful for this place it really saved my life! Yes people wanna poke holes at the program , but those people really didn’t wanna be there. I completed the program, the staff was all great from , Daryl, Rex, all the women during the day, morning meeting facilitator, the kitchen staff, H&I facilitators! I came very broken, lost , and an everyday user, I left with hope for my sober future! I’m still sober, and I go back to speak to the rehab clients to share my experiences, strength, and hope . So I’m forever grateful for this place
