This place is amazing. The staff is beyond incredible. They make you feel like family. They truly care for you. I stayed for 95 days. Best thing I ever did. Oh and you eat like a king lol some of the best food ever and the bakery is out of this world. In all seriousness this place is an amazing place to get help. I felt welcomed by all the other guests as well. Everyone is there for the same reason so its very easy to get along and you build a family forever . I've been out for over 6 months now and I still talk to at least 15 of the guys. Highly recommend. In fact I have already recommend it to a few people. And i met some people here in bennington vt where I go to AA that went to h.w back in the day. Can't wait to go back for a prime rib dinner soon..

My experience with Turnbridge was excellent. My 15 year old son first entered Woodbury and then the extensive care program in New Haven. In 6 months of rehab at Turnbridge they did a great job and today my son is with me in Argentina already returning to High School and continuing rehab with Argentine addiction specialists. I want to highlight 3 people, who in the order I mention them were very important for the emotional support and understanding of the situation I was going through. They are: Mark Adamski, Noah Richmond, Justin Alter. Very grateful

I am a proud alumni of Mountainside Recovery Center. I was there in 2023 and again in 2024. I had to return to treatment because “I” didn’t work the program. I failed to do the basic things they had taught me.
While at Mountainside I met so many kind, helpful and supportive staff. My clinicians, Kory and Kendall guided me through some of the most difficult times of my life.
In the Wellness Program featuring - Sound Bath, Acupuncture and Yoga, you’ll find a peace of mind you never knew existed within you. Mountainside also has camping, hiking and a challenging ropes course to name a few others. Lastly, the Sweat Lodge is a must do to explore your inner soul.
From the kitchen staff to groundskeepers as well as housekeeping, Mountainside provides exceptional service.
Just prior to leaving Mountainside last year I was set up with a PHP/IOP/OP program in a town near where I reside. This was done by Taylor. I credit this referral and my time at Mountainside with saving my life from inevitable disaster due to alcohol addiction.
If you seek sobriety, peace in your life and a future full of possibilities, Mountainside is the place for you. However, YOU must do the work!

MCCA operates seven outpatient clinics across the region including this one in New Milford. This facility is located near downtown New Milford close to the intersection of Bridge Street and Eas | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have been attending group at MCCA and can honestly say it has been a life-changing experience. I came in feeling angry, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and very unsure if therapy in a group setting would be helpful—but it exceeded all of my expectations.
From the start, the facilitators created a welcoming and non-judgmental environment. I quickly realized how much we all have in common beneath the surface. Hearing others share their stories gave me perspective and helps me feel less alone in my struggles. More importantly, I felt truly heard and supported when it was my turn to speak.
The sessions are well-structured, with a good balance between open discussion and guided exercises. The therapists are empathetic and skilled at gently challenging us to dig deeper without feeling pressured. I’ve learned healthier ways to manage my emotions, set boundaries, and communicate more honestly in my relationships.

This experience can be scary and hard to navigate without knowing what to expect in an environment full of strangers discussing your private life. But I have to say I’ve been attending classes for about 5 months now. And since my initial evaluation with Milissa Flores, one of the lead counselors, she immediately made me feel comfortable and accepted. Walked me through every step of what to expect in classes and from the program as a whole. She makes each person feel welcome and especially as a female in some classes full of men, opens her door to make you feel safe to come to her with any concerns or issues. She leads her groups with an honest open approach, where you can talk about anything - judgment free, while learning the skills needed to move forward coping with triggers and stress without the means of alcohol as a solution. She really gives every person the opportunity to speak at their pace and not push them to feel forced. I can’t say the same for every counselor there, or other programs. I’m truly thankful for the ease she has made me and others feel, and her help in my continued path of sobriety. She really goes above and beyond always with a smile and positive energy!

| Located in Hartford, Connecticut, Newport Academy is an alcohol and drug rehab program that offers addiction treatment services to men and women struggling with addiction. They offer residential treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment services to teens ages 13 to 17. Newport Academy is an addiction treatment center for individual | Programs Payment Options | My experience was absolutely amazing. I was in the Mustang pod, October 25 (2023) - January 7 (2024). I was previously at a rehab in Minnesota and it was a unanimous decision that I needed more treatment. From the very first day I got there everyone was so welcoming, kind and accepting. I have severe allergies to egg and peanut so that also gives me really bad food anxiety. The nutritionist there was so so helpful and made sure I always had a fulfilling meal, from Breakfast to evening snack to the food I have to eat before breakfast (meds). Since I was in the substance abuse pod, we were able to go off site to NA/AA meetings. That helped me immensely. Kayla and Lisa the counselors for this pod are literally heaven sent. I love them so much and never made anything I talked about feel embarrassing or stupid. All the activities we had throughout the day like Gong, Equine, Music therapy, Tea making, Yoga, Gym, Nutrition, Adventure (S/O J.D), Art, Alumni, MMA (Love Vince, he's awesome.), and others I probably forgot to mention. For school, the teachers I had helped me a lot and made sure I was caught up and beyond where I needed to be in order to pass my sophomore year. (Ayeeee shout out Chris) There was quite a bit of drama, but nothing intolerable. The only thing I really disliked was how immature some of the staff was, making some people in my house (Dove) feel invalidated etc. That obviously isn't something that changed how my entire experience was but i was also one of those people they didn't 'like' for a little bit. I think they need to be more mindful when choosing who to hire. When we just have chill time in between activities, the CC's were so fun and easy to talk to. They all had such a huge impact on my stay. And the cooks!!! Holy crap. They kept me feeling included 3x a day every single day. When we had continental breakfast, they would make me egg free muffins, or the French toast bake egg free. And when it was something I just didn't like, I was able to eat a Sun butter and Jelly, Pasta, or cereal. I never went to bed or woke up hungry, unlike my other experience elsewhere. Overall it was such an eye opening experience and forever changed my life for the better. Also they did an amazing job administrating my Vivitrol injection monthly. One of the CC'S would go in there with me and hold my hand and talk to me. I'm sober to this day, (2 years coming up!!) Reading these reviews makes me upset, because in these programs you have to want to get better. You have to try and if you don't you're going to have a bad experience. It sucks at first, I would literally cry every week before, during, and after family therapy, but it's not because the therapist is bad. These 1 star reviews are solely personal. It has nothing to do with the staff. They're simply doing their job and making sure you are putting in the work to get better. Its not supposed to be fun. But if you put the hard stuff aside and focus on petting the horses, or making your tea bags when it's that time, you will find it to be tolerable. A good attitude = good outcomes.
ANYWAYS if an actual human is reading this tell everyone I said sup

After three years of searching for the right support for my daughter; I can confidently say that the treatment team at Newport Academy is the best we've ever worked with. The staff’s dedication, expertise, and genuine care have made all the difference (especially Cheyenne, Jenna, Amanda, and Travis).
The therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff worked seamlessly together, creating a holistic and individualized treatment plan that addressed my daughter’s unique needs; after a short time I truly felt like they knew and understood her. They fostered an environment of trust and understanding, allowing her to openly engage in her healing process for the first time. It didn’t happen over night, but when it did, it was beautiful to see. Their emphasis on family involvement, the therapeutic environment, and the diverse range of supportive activities all contributed to my daughter's growth (she loved the equine therapy and the adventures with (Cece).
Today, my relationship with my daughter is stronger than ever. Our support community is much stronger, and she actively participates in peer support through Newport’s Alumni app, which has been incredibly beneficial.
To a family considering Newport Academy, I wholeheartedly recommend it and advise that you fully engage in the process. Advocate for your baby, trust the clinical team, lean into the family therapy sessions, and embrace the available resources. It's a journey that requires commitment from everyone, but the rewards are immeasurable. It was by far one of the most challenging decisions I’ve ever made, especially as a BiPOC parent, but I would 1000% do it again. I will be eternally grateful to the amazing people we’ve met there.

After years of trying everything we could think of, my wife and I finally found Westport House. Our son was admitted quickly and efficiently, and, from that point on, our experience was incredible. After a couple of months we saw a noticeable change in our son. The staff was very timely in their correspondence with us and always treated us appropriately. During his time there, our son became actively involved in Alcoholics Anonymous, obtained employment, and began treating us and others with a level of respect we did not know he was capable of. He stayed there for 7 months, and I can say, it was very much worth every penny. Our son is still sober today and continues to attend the AA meetings that he went to during his time at Westport House. We cannot thank Westport House enough for giving us our son back. After 7 painful years, the change that he was able to make in his life is incredible, and it is all thanks to the great staff and services at Westport House.

MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I’ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I’ve been to. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I’ve also seen some negative, and it’s a shame those people didn’t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don’t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

This place (The staff, their modalities, the location) Saved my life. The only reason I have contact w my family is because they focused on the holistic approach. Seeing the low reviews breaks my heart. I hesitate in breaking my anonymity and protected healthcare information from when I was a teenager. I was a resident in 1992 to 1994. Wellspring helped me tremendously. Especially the Adventure Program where we would go on hikes. I found a love of nature and friendships for a lifetime. The current director, Dan Murray was my therapist and he was so gentle and caring. He cared a great deal about all of his patients. Many of us are still friends and remember him so fondly.
I also went on to Angelus House at 18 and finished my senior year of high school at the local public high school. The transition helped me gain confidence and lifelong friendships from there as well.
Thank you for the lessons. Many sunk in much later in life, but you helped plant the seeds.

I have been with BHCare for a long time. I have had nothing but good experiences with everyone I've ever seen there. From the front end staff, my therapists, doctors and many other people. I highly recommend this facility if it is the kind of care you need and are looking for.

I have been using services at bh care for a long time
When I first received services I was living with my parents and was very dependent on them
I was assigned a case manager who push me to be independent in a couple of months I end up moving out and getting my own place
Years later I now pay my own bills provide my own transportation
And now my son goes to young adults at bh care and they are doing the same for him

I was a little nervous about going to a psych hospital that was an hour and a half from where I lived, but I have nothing to say but good things about this facility. The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while.
