Libertas Treatment Center in Marinette, Wisconsin is part of a non profit healthcare network called Hospital Sisters Health System, a Franciscan healthcare ministry started 150 years ago. Addiction Treatment for the Whole Person

Recovering from addiction involves every part of you. There’s a physical and emotional side, but there’s also the spiritual part of healing. Some programs help with the first two but aren’t as good at helping with your spiritual life.

This center uses a holistic approach to addiction treatment. That means you’ll work on the whole you, not just the substance use disorder (SUD). They’re a Catholic ministry, but you’ll have access to spiritual counseling from Protestant ministers, too.

Treatment here includes options for individual and group counseling sessions. Before you start treatment, you’ll sit down with a licensed substance abuse counselor to determine what works best for you. Many clients say they’ve had a lot of support in achieving and maintaining sobriety here.

Recovery Options for Clients in Rural Areas

When you live in a rural area, it can be harder to get the healthcare services you need, especially if you need help with an opioid or methamphetamine use disorder. That’s not the case here!

A specialized team of addiction professionals works with rural clients to get medication assisted treatment (MAT). Treatment includes counseling, but they also help clients get medications like Suboxone. If you don’t have transportation to get to your counseling appointments, they offer telehealth services.

Priority Given to Expecting Mothers

Although everyone is welcome, pregnant women who are struggling with opioid use disorders are given priority access to treatment. Not only can they get MAT, but they also qualify for prenatal care.

Culturally Aware Support for Tribal Members

Libertas Treatment Center is a few blocks from the banks of the Menominee River and sparkling Lake Michigan. The natural surroundings have deep cultural and spiritual meaning for many Tribal members. The connection to the land supports healing, along with the culturally informed care available for all members of the Menominee Tribal Nation.
