About Lucid Recovery

Lucid Recovery is a sober living home in Los Angeles, California. It’s for adults who are continuing their substance abuse treatment journey after completing a higher level of care elsewhere. It’s open to those with co-occurring disorders.

This program incorporates IOP through a partnership with local providers. It also balances the responsibilities and requirements for sober living programs with staff-led activities, such as outdoor adventures, for residents.

The goal is to achieve a sense of balance in your life before returning home. This program does not accept insurance, but payment options are available.

Great Local Access

Something I love about this program is how its location puts you in touch with the greater LA area. The neighborhood is close to fine dining, shopping and supermarkets. Public transportation in the form of buses and railway options is nearby, too, letting you explore the city and beyond.

There are also a number of 12 Step and other peer support groups meeting nearby. Having such easy access to these groups will make it easier to maintain your sobriety during your stay. This early exposure to peer support groups will make it all the easier to continue with them once you exit the program.

Supporting Yourself

Staff here will assist you in securing work if needed through resume workshopping and job hunting. Additionally, you can take advantage of their financial wellness and education programs and learn how to manage your money to better support yourself and your family.

Opportunities for Socializing

Sober living options like this bring clients together in shared residences, creating a social and collaborative atmosphere. Through meetings and activities, you’ll have chances to share your journey with others in recovery and to learn from one another. Building a support system is important to relapse prevention, and a sober living environment naturally facilitates these connections.

I came to Lucid sober, but I was without direction or friends or any plans for the future. This group meets you where you are in your recovery and tailors a specific treatment plan to fit your needs. I’ve made friends I’ll keep for the rest of my life, as well as tools that have helped me become the sort of person I never previously imagined I could become. I owe everything I have today to my time at Lucid recovery.

I entered Lucid Recovery sober, but depressed and unhappy. While I've been here, I've gotten back to work full time, reconnected with my family, and I'm living a happy life. I can't thank Justin and Lucid enough for the support and help.

Other Forms of Payment

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Financial aid can take many forms. Centers may have grants or scholarships available to clients who meet eligibility requirements. Programs that receive SAMHSA grants may have financial aid available for those who need treatment as well. Grants and scholarships can help you pai for treatment without having to repay.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Sober living homes in California offers an intermediate sober environment that has less structure than inpatient rehab but more than typical home environments. This makes it a good option for those who have concerns about transitioning back to the "real world" after treatment. Residents can typically live at the halfway house as long as they want, if they are willing to follow house rules. These may include a curfew, chores, and maintaining a job.

Treatments

Alcoholism, or alcohol use disorder (AUD), is defined by alcohol dependence. This is a state the body reaches when it experiences withdrawal symptoms in the absence of alcohol. A person who has AUD craves alcohol and continues to drink despite adverse consequences. Because withdrawing from alcohol can pose health risks, individuals with AUD should seek professional alcohol rehab in California to overcome their alcohol addiction. This process typically involves medical detox, rehabilitation, and maintenance.

Drug rehab in California teaches participants constructive ways to stay clean and sober. Treatment revolves around helping individuals stop using the substance they are addicted to and learn healthy habits to avoid relapse.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in California is a method that therapists often use for the effective treatment of substance use disorders. It is based on the principle that substance abuse stems from unhelpful ways of thinking and patterns of behavior, which can be changed by helping the individual learn better ways of coping.

For clients who are struggling with ambivalence toward change, motivational interviewing in California can help strengthen their commitment to change. Using a conversational method, the therapist helps you explore your motivations and empowers you to make the changes you desire.
