I was angry leaving my initial one star review because I felt lied to and deceived. I was told I’d be lucky to make it back to this place… meaning that I’d be dead and not be able to make it back. I was told I would be dead cause of how “horrible and defiant” I was. I did not like AA was not for me so I was going to die. Many people that worked here told me. My case worker gossiped about me to a whole group of my peers saying “one of you is going down a dark road” really? These are the people to trust? These are the people “getting me better.” Also they said the bill would not need to be paid and I kept getting harassed by AP office I believe in Florida? So I was furious. So my initial review was one star and I left out words because I wrote a nasty review and had to erase them. I wanted to come back and edit my one star review to a five star. Cause here I am, over 5 years later, still going strong as ever in my recovery, and I have a place that is mine, I have a good steady job, and I’m free of the chains of addiction. Whether I like it or not, my experience here is what lead me to where I am today. There was some amazing staff that was overworked and under paid so if by some grace of god they are still there, god bless. I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and say they were trying reverse psychology on me, the staff talking crap about me to other peers, the staff saying I’d be dead. But they were not that smart, they genuinely were telling me I was hopeless. I won’t name you but I know that you know who you are. Now I sit here over 5 years later thinking that maybe if you did not spend so much time talking down and being hateful and judgmental to me, maybe all my brothers in program with me that are dead now, would still be alive if you paid them that energy. But it is what it is right? I don’t equate my success to NEATC, hell no. I put my success on my shoulders. I easily could have taken yall saying I’d be dead soon and actually gone and died. But I didn’t. I spit in all your faces and I proved all of you wrong. I did it for me. I did it for my brothers who died due to the lack of care they received wether insurance was poor or you just focused more on me being defiant than their complacent obedience to your AA. What works for some does not work for all. It’s your hate that drove the fight in me to succeed. I see my brothers in the program with me that never will get to share their smiles with the world, I can share the smile they taught me. I can share their message and I will not let them down. That’s why I have 5 stars. This place did exactly what it needed to. Just like life, drove me insane, judged me, hate on me, gave me a place to live full of rats and mice, financial issues to battle, had to face death, had to hear pain like no other, and was not the smoothest ride. But through the pain and darkness of life there is always light, you can be that light. You can change. Amidst all the bad, there was a handful of AMAZING staff and people that gave me a real life experience I will never ever ever forget. Just like life this place is not perfect, we need to take the challenges and push on. I loved this place. And always will. This place did heal me. Not how I wanted but how I needed. Just like real life. I noticed my growth as I wanted to change my one star review. Even after all the trouble, I pushed through and fought and still see the light. I am still a light that will not be dimmed. And this place is a HUGE part of the reason I am who I am today. An amazing light in a dark dark world. This place put a challenge in front of me, life is not easy, you need to put in the work, and when life punches, you need to punch back harder. Thank you NEATC and the amazing staff I can’t imagine would still be working here but if you are I love you. Forever I love you, and miss you, and wish you the best. I would love to come speak one day at an event, I don’t live close by anymore but I’d love to make something so please contact. Anyone wondering if they should come here, yes. Yes you should.

Located in Braintree, Massachusetts, Rockland Recovery is an addiction treatment center for men and women. The services available to you include drug and alcohol detox, the intensive outpatient program and gender responsive care. The staff is experienced in treating addictions to various substances such as heroin, prescription drugs and methadone.
Rockland has been an immeasurable help for me. I've had experience in other places in the past but nothing like the Rockland community. The staff here has such a wealth of knowledge, experience and variety of approaches that I've never seen anywhere else. The work you do here is tough but the people genuinely care. They see your time and effort as valuable. They will put you on the right path you probably have never seen before and guide you to be the best version of you. I can't speak highly enough of Rockland and everyone who works there. So many thanks and I look forward to staying involved in the community I've developed here.

I highly recommend Rockland Recovery for anyone looking to learn about recovery and the Alcoholics Anonymous Big Book. It goes in depth teaching the steps involved to beat addiction and the staff really does care about you. You are actually a human being and not a number. All of the staff is exceptional and are extremely passionate about their excellent program here! Shawn is an awesome teacher here at Rockland Recovery! His approach to teaching about addiction and recovery is always well received by the community as they can relate to his experiences. His easy going and laid back attitude makes it very easy for the community to speak the truth about their own struggles with addiction and feel okay about it. He brings the community together to make it a group therapy and you can feel the energy in the room! Please keep on doing what you are doing! Rockland Recovery is a solid 5 Star Program!

East Coast Recovery is amazing! It’s amazing because the people that work there are incredible and they care very much about seeing clients succeed. The nurses are Top Knots and unusually helpful and resourceful. The counselors that exist are all fair and kind, but constant short staffing and management issues cause a great place to only get a good rating. This is a for-profit clinic, so the higher up the management chain one goes, the further away an addict in recovery is from recovery. Unfortunately this company owns most of the clinics in the area, so one does not have a choice. This is also not unusual. There is no handicapped accessible entrance. You can go in the back way, around the back of the hospital, but you still have to walk a very good distance to the front door, and once inside it's very small so a person with mobility issues is going to struggle. I don't suggest anyone with mobility issues goes to this Clinic. He Corrections Officers in the back of the hospital, they have an entrance for the prisoners there. There is constant clashing with the handicapped clients and the Corrections Officers because there's no real protocol for handicapped patients. But overall this is a good place. Small, and they don't put up with any of the usual nonsense that goes on.( There are very few drug deals if at all that will go on here!). The security guard is top-notch as well and is very fair but firm. If you are not looking for Recovery, I suggest you go somewhere else because you won't last long here. I've had some personal issues with the take-home protocol as well as the short staffing resulting in treatment plans not being effectively instituted, but again this is management and has nothing to do with the day to day staff.

Had a six day visit on the 4th floor. The groups were productive and helpful. The mental health support team was very thuro. I wasn't a fan of the food or lack of cleanliness in group bathrooms. The nursing assistants were hit or miss based on engagement and cell phone usage. The facility should put a policy in place removing cell phones from the floor. If our disabled veterans can't use their own phones, why should we / they constantly see the floors "care team" on theirs.

The care @ this hospital has always been excellent in all the years I've been going to the West Roxbury VA. In my last visit my wife was with me and she was having trouble with her legs I just want to thank the 2 separate nurses that noticed my wife's struggles within 5 and asked her if she needed help, before I found a wheel chair for her...thank you. To the fool who rated this VA hospital 2 stars based off his/ her experience in the cafeteria..go to a restaurant if you want good food. Because today you'll be minus $50 or more and still probably won't be happy with the food...get real, this is a hospital!

my youngest son who is 20 months old saw Dr. Semmes and her amazing team yesterday for his first well child appt at this office and wow we had such an amazing experience! we booked it a few months ago when we first moved back to MA and it was definitely worth the wait! My son has in recent months (after several ear infections) become very fearful of doctors and dentists however it ended up being a really positive, FUN experience for him, his dad & i. they had a “child life specialist” who provided our son with toys to play with during the visit and had amazing techniques to distract him while he received his immunizations (the nurse who administered the immunizations also had great techniques!!) They both were so sweet and understanding. great communication from everyone, clean office and friendly front desk staff! very grateful and relieved! i definitely plan on bringing my next baby here who i am having in feb 🤍 thank you!

I brought my son here for a tumor in his knee, I’d like to thank Dr Shake and every nurse in interventional radiology , every step of the way we felt cared for , they were super compassionate, also in the recovery room his nurse was very caring and compassionate also.making sure he was comfortable with snacks and drinks and vitals were good. Parking was okay , busy for a city like Boston , bring a credit card or debit card for parking you’ll need it. My car was safe I locked the doors of course. I highly recommend this hospital . Thanks again to all that helped and cared for my son. Thank you for your blessing.

Bring your license or ID to register for your relatives surgery or appointment, all adults have to show ID ! Head to" bridge/main lobby" sign-in there for all appointments, they will give you directions to your destination. Also the Longwood Galleria mall food courts is just a few minute walk from hospital. Cvs also in the LW galleria mall. We also has a 2pm surgery delayed till 4ish. But what can you do, better than be rescheduled, surgery went well. So its a sacrifice and im good with that! Dont forget to get your parking ticket validated when you check in to the hospital(we only paid 15$ for like 6hrs

I've been coming here for years and my experience has been nothing short of excellent! I was born with a rare genetic disorder and I've experienced pain for as long as I can remember. To keep this simple/straight to the point, it was a lot to deal with at a young age. You'd think that a hospital was the last place I'd want to visit, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. A handful of my fondest childhood memories actually come from the CAT/CR center and the wonderful group of people working there. My appointments felt less like appointments and more like one day vacations! I looked forward to my visits because I could see my friends again, have an endless stack of drawing paper, and have three hours of the best comfort. The staff members felt like close friends who genuinely cared for not just me, but for my Mom as well. I'll never forget this one woman who immediately took notice of my Mom not feeling well, checked her out, and found a bullseye rash from a deertick. If it hadn't been for that nurse, my Mom's lyme disease could've been much worse. I could go on and on about BCH but overall, this hospital is made up of the most caring, down to earth, and experienced people you will ever meet. And I will never not be thankful for them ❤️

My first experience at this hospital. I went in for the company mandated flu shot. I don’t do well with needles. I looked at the wrong time and these two lovely nurses caught me before passing out. They spent over a half hour with me. Constantly reassessing vitals, got some sugar in me. Elevated my legs to help with blood flow. They kept me laughing with a good sense of humor. It was great action and reactions.

I thought er was great and cardiac floor was great the only thing I didn’t like was the menu . It basically only gives you one option every day, which is ridiculous. It used to have a whole menu you could pick from and the options of all day substitutes are not the greatest.thry need to offer more options and the kitchen staff was kinda rude and made me feel like I was bothering them the food takes forever to get to u

I was able to get into the original hope house in the south end over 20 years ago through a friend Alex and Brian Tullos who i just recently found out is amazingly still helping people at the hope house to this day. I may not have known it at the time but I realize now that the Hope House and Brian helped lay down the groundwork for me to get off heroin which was the hardest thing I ever had to do in my entire life. Things are far from perfect my health is bad I still need to take care of some things in my life but I am so grateful to not have to die with a needle in my arm today. I am grateful for the Hope House

It's an amazing house with great staff and food the atmosphere is out of this world and that helps SO much with recovery. Not one staff member can I say anything bad about and that is absolutely unheard of!!! Love that program, they really take the time to screen clients before entry and the groups are ran in a personalized way to try and help each individual with the different needs they need to be met. 10 out of 5 stars!!!
