I love this place, because it helps me love myself. get to know myself. it's really a growing spot people can really grow here( spiritually , mentally and physically) when you're on drugs you know you stuck! now you lie to yourself and you don't even know it. you know they help me recognize my lies in me. the way you think backwards sometimes you know; I used to think they were good and I like them in the matter is that are not good for me and they never had been. it' s taken relationship my friends my kids . They teach me how to gain my dignity back my respect for me and others. how I can be balanced I'm learning not to drink from my lower self but my higher self as like what would your God. It's about being a better person that I was contagious for and keep that going and growing.

Poor communication. I scheduled an appointment, waited weeks for an assessment just to show up and be told that Dr. Clipper is supposed to be in court and that someone should have called to let me know, but I was never notified. **I may not be able to reply to the response but I can update my original review to show what's being left out of the picture this business is trying to paint. I never received any call or voicemail like they're stating in their response to this. Or else I wouldn't have wasted my time and gas showing up that day. The nice thing about phones is that even if they did call and leave a voicemail, and I missed it, there would have been record of it in my call log and a voicemail but there were neither. Whoever left those notes in the records didn't actually do their job. I would have considered keeping the rescheduled appointment (that I just called to cancel) that I set up with them in the office that day if they didn't decide to leave a response to my original review about how things should have been per the record and that I still made another appointment, as if that helps at all. They would have done less harm by not responding to the review in the first place. It's passive aggressive and unprofessional and that tells me this business is no longer worth my time. Now I'm going to have to ask my doctor for a referral elsewhere, spending more time waiting to get the help I need because I don't trust businesses that have poor customer service. The first issue was excusable. People make mistakes. But if your interactions with your customers in the reviews are that petty, it's a bad sign.** Some people can't wait for this type of help and it's not always easy to schedule around jobs and kids. My husband had to take time off work for this so we are already losing money before getting any help.

I cannot speak highly enough of this office, especially Sheri Miller. Calling to make our initial appointment, I wasn’t sure what to expect as this was our first experience. However the office staff was so easy to work with and so kind on the phone. Then, once we met with Mrs. Miller, our experience was even better. She has been amazing, and has helped my family through a difficult time. My daughter has made such amazing progress. Mrs. Miller helps her through the difficult things, and has taught us some amazing coping skills. She also recognizes how she has grown in this process, and provides praise and positivity, which makes my daughter feel proud of herself. This has been a wonderful experience for my daughter, and my whole family.

This place was all about helping others get to the starting point in your life to see there is life out there without drugs if you want it that bad you can have it . Even though I left there and I relapsed 4 years ago that was my choice that I made because I wasn't ready then . Now I'm thriving ,sober ,have my kids back in my life ,and a new baby girl . This place made a big impact on my life that's why I'm writing this review 4 years later after I left. Some of the staffs inspiring stories and words is what got me to where I am today and I'm very thankful for that. Recovery will only work if u let it and it's hard work but yout have to put in the work to get in life you want to go . Don't give up . I would be lieing if I said recovery is easy but one day u will wake up and realize it gets easier u just got to.want it and put 100% in to get it

I can’t say enough good things about this DUI counseling program. The teachers here truly go above and beyond…George, Troy, and Noel each share real-life stories and situations that make the lessons not only impactful but also relatable. You can tell they genuinely care about the work they do and about helping people learn and grow. Even Shelly, in the office, is kind and very relatable.
What stood out to me most is that this program isn’t just for people with a DUI…it’s information that everyone should hear! The way it’s taught makes you reflect, and I honestly believe these lessons could benefit anyone, whether or not they’ve ever made the mistake of driving under the influence. It’s a truly valuable program run by people who care about making a difference.

My experience at Alsana Residential was absolutely amazing! The staff there genuinely cared about me and my recovery. They didn't just do their job they went above and beyond! I am so grateful to my care team there and the DC's that put in the extra effort. There was only one there that I felt cared more about their title than they did about genuinely helping and being a part of the community. I also met some of the best people. I will never forget you all. Thank you for being a safe place for me , for helping me to see that the apple fell far from the tree, and for showing me that I am human too and deserve the same rights as every other human on this planet! To Tracy, Jojo, Mae, Katrina, Jordan, and Karlie: I am a better person for knowing each of you and you have all touched my soul! I will never forget any of you and what you did for me! Before Alsana, my daughter was so deep in her eating disorder and co-occurring mental health issues that functioning without these things felt next to impossible. She seemed entrenched in this disorder, and I didn’t know how to get her out. Each time we took her Alsana, they’ve helped pull her out of some of the darkest points of her life so it seemed at the time. The staff and philosophy of Alsana guided me through the ups and downs of early recovery, never giving up when she would stumble. I felt like everyone I met truly cared for her and her recovery. Now, after Alsana, she is living a life of freedom from the grips of this life sucking eating disorder. SHe feels stronger, more capable of dealing with triggers, and more compassionate towards others in a similar spot than ever before. Thank you for giving me my daughter back.

Saint Louis, Missouri | Located in St. Louis, Missouri is the Mercy Behavioral Health – St. Louis campus. This is a hospital facility that provides specialized medical and mental healthcare services to children, adults, and families. Services are offered in both an outpatient and an inpatient setting. This facility offers you access to evidence based therapies that wil | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have quite a bit of experience in behavioral health - both as an employee and as a patient. Despite the cons listed below, this is a 4+ star facility for the treatment they provide, compared to my experience with other programs. I'm giving it 5 stars here because the review doesn't allow half stars, so I'm rounding up.
First the pros:
* The intake dept at the hospital for BH is on a walk in basis which makes it easy to get care exactly when needed.
* The psychiatrist Dr. Qaisrani spent nearly 45 min assessing my concerns on my first day inpatient, then spent considerable time each day helping create a collaborative treatment plan with me and my spouse.
* Many of the nurses and other staff really cared about patients.
* Therapy groups are mostly helpful with good information.
* Social workers are diligent about following up with family for discharge planning.
* The inpatient unit has daily visiting hours from 4-5pm.
* Patients can choose their meals from several options for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is usually eggs, bacon, sausage and some kind of carb - toast, biscuit, oatmeal, and French Toast.
* There were many snack options available and 3 set snack times in addition to the 3 meals.
* Good selection of puzzles, games, word searches, coloring sheets, playing cards, etc.
* LGBTQ friendly and pro trans supportive to me. I was also allowed to continue my HRT during my stay. Staff seemed genuinely to try to get pronouns right, not 100%, but very apologetic when they slipped up. Several other patients had different preferred names and staff were 100% in using the preferred names.
* The TV is available 630am-1030pm (off during groups), a good variety of cable channels available.
* Phones are available for patient use 8am-10am (off during groups).
* Christian religion focused with many Christian religious materials available (a plus if you like that sort of thing, also included as a con below for those that don't).
Next the cons:
* Outside of breakfast, the food is consistently terrible (mostly overcooked).
* The staff sometimes gossip about patients and other staff within earshot of the patients.
* No regularly scheduled outdoor time and no real physical activity possible (no gym, no stretching or yoga classes, no outdoor space except a courtyard that was only accessed 1x for 45 min during my 8 day stay).
* Therapy groups are only scheduled 1-2x each day on the weekend (6x on weekdays). This is typical of most facilities but still a con in my opinion.
* Rules are applied inconsistently at times and seem dependent on staff member / their own set of rules (use of dental floss/floss sticks, tampons, holes in jeans, zippers on clothing, jewelry, piercings allowed, soft cover/hard cover books, etc.)
* Building is quite outdated and in need of deep cleaning and remodel (rust in shower and toilet, chairs with significant wear, table is wobbly, carpet is stained and very dirty).
* Therapy groups rarely start or finish on time.
* The daily therapy schedule isn't provided to patients until right before the first group and only shows the therapist name, not the type of group (processing, art, music, pets, etc.)
* Christian religious materials are EVERYWHERE - posted on the wall, handouts, nurse uniforms, etc. (again, listed as a con here, but a pro above also, depending on preference).

The owners of this institution are clearly capitalizing on the broken system locally, IE no bond bail, privatized court services etc- but somebody’s gonna do it and they do it pretty well. The staff is friendly and courteous, and for a retail environment it’s pretty laid back. Expect to pay extra for whatever you have to do. In comparison with other interactions with the law,EMASS will be one of your easier/ friendlier ones.
