About Star Point Counseling Center
The counseling services here usually won’t be standalone services in your journey to addiction recovery. Often, the people who seek substance recovery counseling here have been prescribed medication by their primary care physician or psychiatrist.
Many others are engaged in outpatient programs or live in a sober living home, but turn to the counseling services here to move towards a feature of sobriety.
One of the benefits of receiving services at a comprehensive counseling facility like Star Point is that there are trained professionals and therapists who can help you navigate other aspects of your life that have been impacted by substance use.
For example, strained relationships, lack of motivation, low self-esteem, and mental health challenges like depression and anxiety can all be tackled by the counselors here.
When you start working with the counseling team, you’ll develop clear goals and objectives that you’ll want to work towards. Through cognitive behavioral therapies, you’ll gain essential skills and strategies that you can apply to your life.
They also use solution focused therapy to help build your critical thinking and problem solving skills. There are a number of other traditional and more modern approaches used as well, and depending on your circumstances, your therapist will identify the right approach for your recovery.

Clinical Services
In individual therapy, a patient meets one-on-one with a trained psychologist or counselor. Therapy is a pivotal part of effective substance abuse treatment, as it often covers root causes of addiction, including challenges faced by the patient in their social, family, and work/school life.
