I am 6 months in fighting a battle with Kratom. I called Symetria 6 months ago and the next morning I was in the office in Arlington. When I walked in I was a mess, crying and scared. They took me in and helped me right away and took their time with me and the process was so easy to get started. I cannot tell you how much better I felt that day walking out of there. OT Edwin was the Best! A little hard at times, but balanced with encouragement that challenged my mindset to think in positive terms of what I believed I could do physically.
PT Justin was also very good at tailoring my workouts to accommodate sore muscles rather than charging forward with his original plan. He was very conscious to not over use a strained muscle and possibility risking an injury, but altered my plan to still achieve the goals set.
In reference to OT Edwin & PT Justin, I am amazed with my progress from Monday 8/4 to Friday 8/13!
Nurse on 8/6 (Wed overnight into Thursday AM) had a very unhelpful attitude towards me. It was like I was wasting her time when I asked for her help.
8/7 & 8/8 Nurse Ruth & nurse tech DeeDee were top notch! And great attitudes!
Nurses Karla & Michelle & nurse techs Janie & Lateka were also very good!
Dr. Rega stopped by everyday to ask if there was anything I needed--med adjustments, etc.). After I had been here a week, the bed was leaving a lot to be desired. When she asked me on Friday AM if there was anything she could get me, I half jokingly said a new bed would be nice. Her response was to let her see what she could do. When I returned from therapy at lunch, they delivered a new mattress! And they double stacked the new w/the old one. A major improvement!

I will never forget what this man, Cris, the owner, did for my son and for our family. When my son was at his lowest point and I didn’t know where to turn, he showed up for us in a way I’ll always be grateful for. He didn’t just give me advice or hand me a phone number—he actually came to our house late at night, talked to my son with such patience and understanding, and then drove him straight to a rehab center himself.
In that moment, I felt like someone finally cared as much as I did. He treated my son with dignity and kindness when so many others had just judged or given up on him. That kind of compassion is rare, and it gave us a sense of hope we hadn’t felt in a long time.
My son is still in rehab right now, but we look forward to him working with ASIC when he comes back. Knowing that there will be continued support waiting for him after treatment gives us peace of mind and encouragement for the future.
This isn’t just a program—it’s people who truly care, who show up when it matters most, and who give families hope when everything feels hopeless. I will forever be thankful for what he did for us, and I would recommend this program to anyone who needs help. They don’t just change lives—they save them.

ASIC Recovery Services has been an absolute lifeline for me. Their mental health counseling services are truly exceptional and have made a profound impact on my well-being. From the moment I reached out, I felt supported, heard, and valued as an individual.

My therapist took the time to thoroughly understand my unique challenges and worked collaboratively with me to develop a personalized treatment plan. Through our sessions, I've gained invaluable insights, coping strategies, and a renewed sense of hope.
What sets ASIC apart is their holistic, client-centered approach. They don't just treat symptoms, but address root causes and equip you with practical tools for long-term healing and growth. The warm, non-judgmental environment they create makes it easy to open up and do the hard work of healing.
I've seen tremendous improvements in my mental health, relationships, and overall quality of life thanks to ASIC. Their flexible scheduling and range of specialized services make quality mental healthcare accessible.
If you're considering counseling, I can't recommend ASIC Recovery Services highly enough. Their dedicated team, evidence-based practices, and genuine care for clients make them true leaders in mental health treatment. I recently had the privilege of having my 16-year-old daughter, meet with therapist Dakota Torres at Lena Pope at their Weatherford location for the first time, and I am truly impressed by the positive impact Dakota had on my daughter during their initial session.
From the moment we arrived, Dakota exhibited professionalism, warmth, and genuine care for my daughter's well-being. Despite my daughter's initial reluctance and resistance to the appointment, Dakota was able to establish a strong rapport with her almost instantly.
Dakota's ability to connect with my daughter and create a safe and supportive environment allowed her to open up and share her thoughts and feelings in a way that she hadn't been able to with previous therapists. Even before the appointment, my daughter expressed her reluctance to engage with anyone and her resistance to being there. However, after meeting with Dakota, my daughter shared that she really liked her, which speaks volumes about Dakota's approachability and effectiveness as a therapist.
Having previously sought therapy for my daughter with six different therapists, I can confidently say that Dakota's session was the first time I felt genuinely positive about the future of my daughter's therapy journey. Dakota's empathetic approach, coupled with her ability to quickly establish trust and rapport, fills me with hope and optimism for her progress in her sessions with Dakota.
I am immensely grateful to Dakota for her exceptional therapeutic support and dedication to helping my daughter navigate her challenges. I highly recommend Dakota Torres and Lena Pope to anyone seeking compassionate and effective therapy for themselves or their loved ones.
Thank you, Dakota, for making a meaningful difference in my daughter's life.

The beds are uncomfortable. The showers are a pain in the rear to get hot. One would think I would give the place one star, but as I said, the majority of the staff was very caring and attentive. The one thing that really chapped my rear was getting served a court order by a sheriff while I was trying to shower when I first got placed in the unit. I left back in April after being employed for 5 years. It was a personal choice to leave and in no way had anything to do with the company itself. I will say that BVCASA is contracted through TDCJ. So they follow TDCJ rules. The program is what you make of it. If you behave badly, then you get in trouble and have consequences. The clients are there to correct bad behaviors they learn in prison and from the lives they have lived. To the families, please remember that loved ones may alter the truth to fit their narrative. Again, they are there to help correct the behaviors they learned in prison. The job itself has bless me with many things and many opportunities. I will forever be grateful. ❤️
