Though I have only been to one rehab and will not be returninglol. This place is the best I swear after hearing about all others. The staff is amazing from therapists, counselors to the resident care staff! The place is simply amazing to those who actually want help want to learn about themselves and are willing to surrender to a higher power for the greater good in ones life. Easy going, excellent care and the program is top notch for sure! I also want to make a call out to Jaeyden a dedicated resident care staff who goes above and beyond. Who remains in touch with me just to simply ask how I am doing. Well I am doing fantastic and am very appreciative and humbled thanks to all at River Walk Ranch. If you are done at the bottom and seriously want a hand out of your unmanageable ways give them a call now. Rob

5 stars isn't enough to rate this amazing recovery center. A family member has been walking a path of recovery for sometime now. Riverwalk Ranch is by far the best place we have encountered. The staff, with special recognition to Alex, Janelle and Clint, went above and beyond to encourage recovery and provide skills needed for ongoing sobriety post discharge. Mental health challenges can feel overwhelming, but this treatment center gave us hope. I haven't written many on line reviews but felt compelled to let others know about this gem in North Texas. Thank you Riverwalk Ranch!!

My husband Brandon has been to many rehabs in the past. He has never gone back to the same one twice. He says that if he ever needed to go back to one he would choose to go back to Riverwalk Ranch however the treatment he received at this facility has surpassed any other place he has ever received treatment from before. With the care he received from this facility he feels like he will not ever need to visit a treatment facility ever again. Miss Chelsea runs a very tight ship and all of her staff from the medical team to the counselors to the case managers all the way down to the Recovery coaches, Janitorial and maintenance staff all have servants hearts. Miss Kat is head of the counseling team and has helped me and my husband so much! She helped him find the root cause of his addiction and most of the staff have been in my husbands shoes before and know exactly what it takes to teach and coach clients in the right path towards a life long road of recovery. I highly recommend this facility to anyone who has lost all hope for the future and feels like nothing else has worked. We were praying and searching for a place for my husband to go when he was at his witts end and felt god lead us to this place for a reason. All of his needs were met in very high regard. If you are considering a place for a loved one to go to battle the horrible disease of addiction we both highly recommend this facility! We will be forever grateful that we found Riverwalk Ranch!!!

To the Staff of Discovery Point Retreat,
I want to take a moment to personally thank each and every one of you who played a part in my journey of healing, growth, and rediscovery during my time at Discovery Point.
To Mrs. Birdie, Bryan, Clay, Michelle, Brian, Ms. Nea, Mrs. Susie, Sara, David, Whitney, Janell, Nick, Tay Anderson, Andrew, and Alister — your support made all the difference.
From the very beginning, you created a space where I felt seen, safe, and understood. You not only provided the nutrition my body needed to heal, but also gave me the peace, love, and therapeutic care my spirit so deeply longed for. Your dedication helped ease my stay and allowed me to focus on what truly mattered: my recovery.
Every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every session of care reminded me that I was not alone. You reminded me that healing is possible, that I am worthy, and that a new chapter in life is waiting for me.
Thank you for helping me find the strength within myself again. I will carry what I’ve learned and experienced at Discovery Point with me always.
With heartfelt gratitude,

| Nexus Recovery Center is an addiction treatment facility located in Dallas, Texas, that offers rehab services to women suffering with substance use disorders and dual diagnosis conditions. Oftentimes, addiction can coexist with mental health issues. This is called a co-occurring condition and requires specific treatment methods. This clinic offers | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I have struggled with addiction for almost 15 years. I went to many rehabs in Texas & EXPENSIVE ONES in California. My Mom got sick of paying for pricey rehabs that didn’t help. Oh, you can bring your kid to Nexus too! They have a separate dorm for families and pregnant women.
Homeward Bound was the first rehab/detox I went to in Dallas. They USED TO give you Ativan when withdrawing from alcohol or drugs. That's a Godsend and that's the SAFE way to do it. Homeward Bound stopped doing that - they take you off everything, even medication for your heart, blood pressure, antidepressants, even seizures. The new doctors are sadists. DO NOT GO TO Homeward Bound!
Then I discovered Nexus. What a breath of fresh air! Helpful and safe detox - they give you a full week in a separate building before starting you in the dorms. It's weird to say, but I loved it! The doctors, the "techs", the teachers, they even have a program for people who lost their ID'S, birth certificates, etc (as many of us addicts do). They have a program to help you get housing and a job too!
It's like a big family. I actually went twice. You have to be ready to quit. If you truly are ready for real, Nexus is the place. I finally got sober after 15 years. I am now ALMOST 3 YEARS sober and I still talk to people from Nexus.
Parkland's mobile bus also comes so that you can get real help right away, if you have urgent medical issues. As of 2022 they offered MAT, which is Suboxone.
Nexus is so great, there's usually a waiting list, but you can show up in person (go EARLY), they'll interview you and if they think they can help - then you can get in. Anyone reading this..if I can do this, so can you! Be stubborn and don't let addiction win. Do whatever you have to to get here!

I've been visiting this location for a number of years now with my wife who is a US veteran. We've always been treated kindly, been helped and customer service has treated us proper. The staff have always been helpful with finding our destination when we have no clue where to go. Yes, there are large maps located on certain walls if you are near one–they can be helpful. I've seen the staff making sure those that are disabled have a ride and check before they send them on their way. Yes, there are times we've had to wait for whatever reasons, but we aren't complaining—this is part of life. If you believe you're waiting too long, ask a staff member at a help desk that can help with your situation. I have always liked the fact there are PLENTY of places to sit and relax when we are waiting. Drink and snack machines are found all over the first floor in different spots. This location is clean, decent and at times artistic. The day we went for our visit there was a farmers market happening on the first floor for veterans. There are several small shops that sell military souvenirs, hats, flags, snacks, drinks, and other items. The parking can be stressful at times to locate a decent parking spot near the front section, so be aware you might need to park at a distance during certain times of the day. The chapel is easy to locate on the first floor—if you need a place to pray or some quiet time. During our visit, the chapel was being used for a service that was in progress.
Lastly, please DO NOT remove radiology's furniture... 😀

The staff was helpful overall and the food was decent but I was kept there for a week and only got to go outside to the courtyard once…it was very isolating for a person like me with depression. I feel they could do better with patients that are there for specifically mental health…I was in the substance abuse unit and it had nothing to do with me.

Stayed in this hospital. Was very anxious and in a bad state. Avery was a very calm and comforting person in unit 7. Overall, good doctors who are knowledgeable and will help you find what medications or therapy will best first for you.
