This place ruined my family my daughter went for treatment after 2 months she learned to hate her family. They allow clients to leave for 8 hours a day with a drug dealer. If you want your child to live Please research a decent honest facility

We’re truly sorry to hear that this was your family’s experience. Recovery is a difficult journey for everyone involved, and we never want any family to feel hurt or unsupported. While we can’t discuss individual cases publicly, we take every concern seriously and continually review our policies to ensure safety and fairness for all residents. We wish your daughter and your family continued healing and hope.

My experience at the healing place.Has not only awakened me to a new perspective of my self and life. It has been a melting pot to my old. Self. Now that I can look back at the beginning, I can see that I was the problem. This is why I left one star off. I have also met people here that will have an everlasting effect in my life. I love and care for those who have played a role in saving my life. I am truly grateful and cherish the people that I have met here.God bless the T.H.P

Coming to The Healing Place was undoubtedly the best decision that I have made in the past few years and possibly my life. Finishing the program and going into the peer mentors office has given me a solid foundation that I can carry with me after I leave the peer mentors office. Is the program challenging, yes, but the program is designed to prepare you for lifes challenges. I would highly advise anyone that is in addiction to give The Healing Place a try. If I can make it through so can the next suffering addict.

Terrius, this is awesome to read. You put in the work, faced the hard parts head-on, and now you’re giving back as a peer mentor — that’s what real recovery looks like. Thanks for sharing hope with the next person who needs it.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

A medically assisted detox is the safest way to remove addictive drugs and alcohol from your body. A team of licensed medical professionals will look after you 24/7 to monitor your health, help minimize discomfort, and provide medications if necessary to alleviate any withdrawal symptoms. This process is typically the first step in your recovery and may take around 5-7 days, although length will depend on your individual needs.

Clients receiving treatment at an inpatient rehab facility are typically in early recovery or are at heightened risk of relapse. Clients in inpatient care remain at the facility for the duration of their program, enabling them to focus solely on their recovery. Inpatient treatment typically involves extensive psychotherapy, often including group and family counseling as well as one-on-one sessions. Recovery-focused life skills education is another common service. Many rehabs also offer evidence-based holistic therapies.

Treatments

Alcohol use disorder, commonly called alcoholism, involves an inability to control the amount or frequency you drink and feeling withdrawal symptoms when you don't drink. Treatment for alcohol addiction may involve residential or outpatient alcohol rehab in North Carolina, counseling, or 12-step programs. Typically, some form of professional treatment and support is necessary to achieve long-term recovery.

North Carolina offers substance abuse treatment programs that provide a holistic and evidence-based approach. Through a comprehensive mental health assessment, addiction experts can provide an individualized care plan specific to your needs. You can expect most rehabs programs to provide individual and group therapy, recovery meetings, and evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). Depending on your circumstances and severity of addiction, you may need more intensive care. Levels of care include outpatient, residential inpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization. By choosing the right level of care, you're more likely to succeed in long-term recovery.

Programs

Adult rehab programs include therapies tailored to each client's specific needs, goals, and recovery progress. They are tailored to the specific challenges adult clients may face, including family and work pressures and commitments. From inpatient and residential treatment to various levels of outpatient services, there are many options available. Some facilities also help adults work through co-occurring conditions, like anxiety, that can accompany addiction.

Clinical Services

Clients who receive cognitive behavioral therapy in North Carolina typically attend five to 20 sessions. During this time, they work with their therapist to learn healthier patterns of thinking, which can help them change their behavior related to substance use.

If you're struggling with insecurity about your ability to make changes in your life, motivational interviewing in North Carolina could be a good solution. This type of therapy offers support and empowerment to help you explore your options and decide how to move forward with positive changes.
