Aside from the ideological difference of opinions for recovery that i have with some of the policies this place is great. Stephanie my counselor is second to none. She adds a very personal hand in the recovering process. A no bullshit, no holds bar approach that many recovering addicts need. In very thankful for my opportunity i have to share my process with Stephanie and staff. Keep up the good work.

I was very impressed with the quality of care that my son received at Trails Momentum. He was there from May 2023-September 2023. He arrived in a very sad and lost frame of mind. He left with much more self confidence, and a feeling of purpose. His therapist, Joe, was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend Trails.

Th | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Honestly, imma be honest with everyone. This is a great place, I understand some of the comments, however, I believe for me personally I thought it was amazing experience. I wasn’t in there for long and I completely understand why they don’t just give out information to people. I came there a few days ago. Had a LONG time in the hospital, and even tho I was somewhat rude due to my issues and anxiety. They STILL treated me, both ways in a mentally and in a healthy way, and treated me with respect and like an adult as well. I no longer have to live with my panic attacks and anxiety due to them. Plus they give you your rights on a paper so if you’re involuntary they allow you to leave and make reasonable decisions with how to get out. However if you’re scared of being alone, and not having your phone don’t recommend. It’s not ment for everyone.

The wilderness therapy program run by First Light greatly exceeded our expectations from first contact through graduation. My grandson, who we're raising, made excellent progress on his mental health journey. His primary therapist was superb as were the field staff and family therapist. He sure didn't like it at first but eventually said he might even like to stay longer because he felt save and well supported. And along with the hard work, the kids were having a lot of fun.
Wilderness is not an easy therapeutic process, and families who send kids to wilderness programs have run the gamut of other programs without success. Not only was my grandson supported 24/7, but our family was supported in our own therapeutic journey which hadn't been a part of the past 6 years of home-based outpatient therapy. Think about it, do you want to send a child off to a residential treatment program and then have him/her return home to the same environment? Or would you rather have that home environment be improved so the returning child has the support they need? First Light's dual focus on the child and the family significantly increases the chance for everyone's success. I commend First Light for their commitment to the whole family. We, the adults in my grandson's life, have also worked hard, read books, attended workshops and parent information calls so we better understand our child and can help him on his continued journey to improved mental health. And at the same time, we've learned how to improve our own mental health and relationships. It's a win-win.

There’s just too many people for the counselors to handle. I felt like I had a dollar sign on my head the whole time I was there.
