Aside from the ideological difference of opinions for recovery that i have with some of the policies this place is great. Stephanie my counselor is second to none. She adds a very personal hand in the recovering process. A no bullshit, no holds bar approach that many recovering addicts need. In very thankful for my opportunity i have to share my process with Stephanie and staff. Keep up the good work.

I normally do not leave reviews for medical practices, but this week I changed my mind for a good reason. I have seen Dr. Viamonte for the past year and I have felt supported by him. He has given me a corrective experience, and I have felt heard by him. He is one that will hold you accountable for what you can control in your life, which is needed in the mental health field. So from one mental health professional to another, you re a good one Dr. Viamonte!

I came here when one of my best friends and fellow officer (RIP) recommended John Norris as a great counselor for PTSD. He was right, as it's been a blessing ever since. I realize that every patient's experience can be different, but as for me, it has been nothing but pleasant and very helpful.UPDATE 2024.. A sad update to share, but the fellow I speak so highly above, recently went home to be with the Lord. I'm so incredibly thankful for the time, effort, and support these people pour out into these children learning to become respectful men. It's not easy to work through mental and emotional trauma. These people are licensed and trained to handle all aspects with dignity and respect. Yes, I was hesitant at first. I researched it in depth and talked with multiple people before we did paper work. I cannot express my gratefulness enough! Mr. Miller is very patient, and all the camp leader I have met. The cook is a super sweet lady and cares for these boys in a way that takes a special heart.

At first glance this place seems like a WWll waste land, but its not. Although the restraints can be questionable at times, they are not abusive. Kids fight back, what can you do? They give you 3 meals a day. However, some of the meals can be questionable, they provide nutrition and some of the meals are actually good. You get a shower everyday. You get school an physical activity. The things staff members ask residents to do are not difficult what so ever. All you have to do is listen. This place teaches you how to have integrity, how to be responsible and how to be accountable with your actions. I see a lot of people saying- "Forced labor, horrible weather conditions". It is not forced, it is prompted then it is up to the kid to do it or not, and if they don't then they get written up. That's how the real world works. You or your son will get a job and their boss will tell them what they need to do. If they don't then they get fired. The weather is the weather, cant do anything about that. This program isn't meant to be fun (although it actually can be fun at times) its meant to be hard and challenging. This was a life changing experience for me and i don't regret a second of time i spent there.

She befriended "Will" long before he was willing to seek help. He was never alone in life because she checked on him regularly and gently coaxed him into getting the help that he desperately needed.
Approximately 7 months after reaching out, Will made the decision to better his life by accepting Peggy's offer of help. Once his decision was made, Peggy instantly started moving mountains to get him the help he needed. She was in daily contact with his family offering her advice, supplying helpful contact information, and even talking him through his fears when they became too great and he wanted to run.
As a result of Peggy's unrelenting quest to help Will, he has received a Certificate of Completion from the Midwood Addiction Program where he received counseling, housing, a sense of community, independence, and gradually took control of his life again.
A little over a month after graduating, Will has found employment and is ready to start this new healthy chapter in his life. When asked if he ever talks to Peggy anymore, the answer is "yes! she's full of valuable resources.".
How do you thank someone who has saved the life of someone you thought was lost forever? There is no repayment plan that could ever be enough for this angel on earth. Peggy will always be our angel. She truly has an amazing gift and we are forever in her debt.

Lemme tell you about the housing situation 1st.
I read the good reviews and the horrible and the bad kinda concerned me.
I can tell you the bad was not only exaggerated but most just someone salty and spreading total BS.
There are no rodents and I've never been to a house that had zero bugs not even a fly before I got here, not even my father's house. Ok so these 2 floor some with a upper smoking/ lounge deck are nice nice! 4 bedroom 3 full double sink bathrooms , two with walk-in shower , I bath / shower and a half bath by living room. It's fully stocked with any pans coffee pot anything you need.
The staff are some of the nicest ppl and you absolutely get to know them.
You are treated pretty much how you treat them. Just be kind!
Midwood center was the one I went to and the staff there are always awesome. If you need something just speak up, I've seen ppl come through and expect everyone to be mind readers.
I would list everyone I love at Harmony but I'm horrible with names but there are standouts.
Christine, Crystn (sik). Byron,Lisa, Miss Gail
( Amber always pushing DBT therapy 😬) Bobby, the tech who's name escapes me that calls everyone "Big Dog)
And Lastly but firstly Miss Peggy who is the sweetest person I've ever met and she saved my life just by getting to know me calling my phone to talk to someone else. She had my back and actually drove to Salvation Army and helped me get insurance, talked me into Salvation Army in first place and bought my broke ass two packs of smokes
She is absolutely a gift from God and deserves to be the highest paid at Harmony!
But I'm betting she would do it for free
No fear y'all this place is absolutely what you make it.

| The Joint Commission accredited Pasadena Villa Outpatient Center in Charlotte as a rehabilitation center. They help those with mental health concerns and dual diagnosis substance abuse problems around Charlotte, North Carolina. This center provides various outpatient programs to help individuals recover from drug and alcohol abuse. Pasadena Villa | Treatments Payment Options | Pasadena Villa Charlotte both saved and changed my life. I entered the intensive outpatient program (IOP) a broken shell of myself, convinced the world and I would never get along. Today I finished my program and left with the shining words of the staff and my peers reminding me that I am more than enough. I also left with a toolbox full of skills to continue to not just rebuild myself, but also to maintain and sustain meaningful progress.Everyone at Pasadena Villa is sincerely welcoming and supportive. There was not a single moment when I felt judged or uncomfortable. While I was paired with an individual therapist whoI formed a close bond with, I alsogot to know all of the therapists, the program director, and of course, the awesome Michelle who was there to greet me with a smile every morning and put up with my incredibly random questions.I found I could connect to each and every one of my peers in one way or another, and I got so much out of group therapy -- which had been a big concernof mine going in. The fear that I was going to be wasting my time was immediately alleviated within a few minutes on my first day.The different skills lessons, handouts, and activities were incredibly helpful, and the little details like providing a binder, notebook, pen, and stress ball when I first arrived really set the foundation for me to absorb the information and keep it organized so that I can turn these into lifelong skills. They have also helped connect me to further resources so that I can keep my progress going now that I have left the program.Pasadena Villa got me up in the morning and out of my house for 32 consecutive weekdays (well, minus the one day when we were remote because of the weather -- but even then, they pivoted so well). I can't thank them enough for what they have given me.

Our son was dealing with severe anxiety affecting college/everyday life/grades. He willingly (with the rec from his Psych), enrolled in the Pasadena Villa CLT location IOP 6 week program weekdays from 9am-12pm, in late 2024. Treatment included group work and individual therapy. This methodology really helped him tremendously, as it was critical he connect with others struggling similarly to make him feel he wasn t alone. The staff was top-notch; from the front/back of house guru (Michelle), to one of the devoted therapists (his was Ellen), it was such a loving and supportive experience for us as parents, and for our child. The intake process was seamless, and everyone was very communicative/accessible prior and during the program. We realize it s a marathon, not a sprint, for our son to understand/cope with his anxiety. Thanks to Pasadena Villa, he has made significant progress and we couldn t recommend the facility more!

They believe in | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I was in pretty bad shape and at one of the lowest points in my life, when I decided to reach out to Harmony Recovery Center. I feel that my experience there saved my life and started me on my path toward healing. After contacting HRC, Ms. Denice immediately reached out to me and encouraged me to join the program. Ms. Peggy was very supportive while I was struggling to make the decision to attend Harmony and while I was attending the program, and still continues to be.I was welcomed into the Harmony community by Dr. Laurie, the Clinical Director, and Jasmine, my intake manager, and I immediately felt safe in the warm friendly atmosphere there. I appreciated that the program provided housing, since I was coming from out of town.Of the many counselors and facilitators, I owe a special thank you to Dr. Rob, who encouraged me to stick with the program even though it was tough and who gave me so many insights into my struggles. At one point I was totally ready to take off, and Dr. Rob said, I think you have been running your whole life and you need to push through this. To which I said, Ok, Dr. Rob, I m going to trust you on this one. And I m glad I did. Roxanna was so sweet in having her door open always to provide a little TLC whenever something was troubling me. I think what some of us really needed was to have someone in our corner that we could trust. It is very difficult for me to trust anyone. And Ms. Gail was the amazing leader of many of our group sessions! Everyone loves Ms. Gail.My absolute favorite part of the program was having the opportunity to tell my life story in a small group, where I felt both seen and heard and maybe for the first time in my life, understood. I was also inspired by hearing the other client s life stories and experiences and seeing their strength in having overcome so many obstacles, even before joining Harmony.I was thankful for the behavioral techs, who drove us everywhere and provided so much support and security during the evening and night hours at housing. They were always willing to listen and provide any assistance needed. There were too many wonderful people to list here, but I give a special thanks to Ms. Sharone, Ms. Kay and Kai, who helped pull me through. Many of the staff are in recovery themselves which gives them compassion and empathy for us because they remember being in our shoes at one time and have a great deal of wisdom from their own healing journey.I feel that Harmony is the perfect name for this program. This was my safe haven in the midst of a storm. I loved the diversity there with both the staff and clients. They had people from all over the US, of different backgrounds, ages, and ethnicities. If you re struggling, this is the place to come and there s no time like now to begin.Just a little suggestion, if you decide to come: many of us brought comfort items, like our own blanket, pillow or towels to make us feel a little more at home; hobby or craft items, like drawing, knitting, etc. I like to cook, so I brought a few extra kitchen items.
