I moved to Kenai Dec 2022. I registered with the Kenaitze Tribe. They take such good care of me. My PA-C has sent me for an echocardiogram in Anchorage. They flew me there and paid for flight and taxi vouchers. He's had me get full physicals, mammogram, and colonoscopy. I get to be cared for by the dentist and optometrist. Waiting for my new glasses to come in. I take yoga class in the gym on site. I get meals Monday - Friday in the elder center.They make me feel special.

I've been going here for a while now (almost 3 years) and while it has 100% helped me on my journey to recovery, I have been trying to get then to lower my dose a little at a time so I can e mentally get off od ir. Anyways, besides that it is an adequate methadone clinic like any other. It us a bit cleaner than some others I've seen which is a plus and it usually doesn't have a long line to wait in to dose. All in all I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

I have been receiving therapy at this facility for a year now, and I am pleased with the progress that my therapist and I have made in improving my mental health. My therapist takes the time to explain difficult mental health concepts to me and assigns me homework to help me cope better with my anxiety. I was part of AK Child & Family from approx 2002-2006. My experience was mostly a positive one. I felt like the staff really cared for me. I felt like they valued my opinion. I felt like they had my best interest in mind. Even though they were getting paid to be there, Activity Therapy was always a lot of fun. I was not use to getting any positive attention from anyone, so it was nice. The only big negative I can remember is when my worker pulled me from school in 9th grade, told me we were going for ice cream or something, then dumped me at Northstar. Actually now that I think of it, all the homes I was in through them but one were awful. I cannot however speak for the quality of the program now.

Strong sobriety talks here, good location on West side Anchorage, close to airport for travelers. Both long term and first day of sobriety people to be friends with. Really disappointing it's only open for meeting times, Alcoholics need a coffee place to hang out in from 6am to 9pm.Papa Joe Fuller was correct in the 80s when he and other old timers said, when meetings take over the Alano Clubs, it will no longer be a social gathering place for recovery, it will become a meeting house only, closed between meeting.
