My experience at Haven Detox was a nightmare from start to finish. I checked in expecting support and medical care, and instead ended up dealing with issues that should never happen in a treatment facility. The room I was placed in had dirty sheets that were clearly not changed from the previous patient, and within hours I began noticing bites. When I reported it, multiple nurses came to look and they told me it was bed bugs. Things got so bad that I was sent to the hospital, where the doctors confirmed the bites were consistent with bed bug exposure. No one should ever have to deal with that in a place that is supposed to be safe and sanitary. On top of that, my belongings went missing, and whenever I tried to get help or answers, I was yelled at or dismissed by staff. Between the lack of cleanliness, the lost/stolen items, and the completely unprofessional behavior, I left feeling worse than when I arrived. I’m sharing my personal experience so others know what they might be walking into. I would never recommend Haven Detox to anyone based on what I went through.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.
