This He’s taking care of his mental health after getting dealt a really bad hand in life. Life hasn’t been kind to him lately, and it shows in the weight he carries every day. Coming back to Brentwood Springs feels like returning to a place that actually gets it. The staff here is compassionate and professional. They create a safe, structured environment where my human can focus on healing. The inpatient and outpatient options give real flexibility, and the therapy groups, medication management, and recreational activities seem to help him start processing things he’s been holding onto for too long. He is involved in the Hope4Hero’s program which helps with Active, Veterans and first responders. This program has been so helpful for him. It’s not easy watching someone you love struggle, but seeing him get the support he needs here brings me some peace. The facility is clean and calm, which makes a big difference when emotions are running high. I appreciate how they treat the whole person—not just the symptoms—and include family/ support system education too. It reminds me that he’s not alone in this, even on the toughest days. If you or someone you care about is facing serious mental health challenges or co-occurring issues, Brentwood Springs is a place worth considering. I arrived exhausted from trying to figure things out on my own and carrying hurts that I didn't fully understand. What I found was an experience that challenged me, supported me, and ultimately changed me. The time I spent there were some of the hardest and most rewarding of my life. I laughed, cried, learned, connected, and began to understand how past experiences and unresolved trauma had shaped the way I moved through the world. For the first time, I was able to look at parts of my story with honesty, compassion, and curiosity instead of judgment. The work wasn't easy, but it was worth it. I left with a deeper understanding of myself, healthier ways of relating to others, and a sense of hope that had been missing for a long time. Most importantly, I left knowing that healing is possible. What stands out to me most is how cared for I felt throughout the process. The people I met, both staff and fellow participants, created an environment where I felt safe enough to do the work and brave enough to keep going. My life is not magically perfect today, but I returned home with greater self-awareness, stronger tools, and a foundation for continued growth. After 12 years of long-term recovery, I relapsed and found myself in the darkest place I’ve ever been…including a suicide attempt. I came in broken, lost, and unsure if I even wanted to keep going. I cried EVERYDAY!! What I found here was something I never experienced growing up, real love, real care, and people who genuinely see you. From the kitchen staff to the therapists, every single person on site showed up with compassion, patience, and intention. They didn’t just treat the addiction, they helped me uncover and begin to heal the deep trauma I had never addressed. It felt like I did 4 years of therapy in 4 weeks. No exaggeration. It was intense, it was uncomfortable, but it was absolutely worth every second. Thank you to Shera, Saben, all of the therapists, and everyone who pours into this place daily. You gave me something I didn’t know I was missing and reminded me that my life is still worth fighting for. Forever grateful. They're so kind and truly want to help you reach your goals. Of, course like all patients, I've had a bad appointment or two over the years but, I just try to remind myself that everyone/every business can have hectic/bad days and yes... BUSY OFFICES such as this are gonna have a few hiccups. But I do not like the ever changing staff, its getting more solid now, and the counselors are amazing. Caleb and Jamie are my favorite! I know... I shouldn't say favorites but of all the counselors I've been through, they are by far the best. And of course, the Suboxone works for me (with it's bad side effects aside... that's not on the office ) Spero Health is great. So.. when reading these reviews because your looking for help, just remember when you see the bad reviews (ie: "THIS PLACE SUCKS! STAFF IS SO RUDE! THEY FORGOT ME IN THE WAITING ROOM!" That staff sees a lot of patients everyday and some are having the worst day ever... bare with them! They will get to you and will help you anyway they can. So, if you're looking for a place that will help you get clean and sober and support the entire way, THIS IS THE PLACE. Nothing about recovery is easy! As addicts, we know this. But this staff will get to know you and help you the best way possible. One day, one minute, one second at a time! When I first met her, I was scared because she looked intimidating, but after getting to know her, I realized she is one of the sweetest, most supportive people. I honestly wish I could have a therapy session with her. Ms. Brandi is a wonderful intern therapist. She is caring, supportive, and always knows how to make people smile. Ms. Vellamae is amazing. I love her group therapy because she is so kind and always makes everyone feel comfortable. Ms. Lillian is an amazing intern therapist and staff member. She always listens to me without judging me and somehow knows when I’m not okay. Whenever I needed someone to talk to or play board games with, she was always there. She truly cares about every client. Ms. Esther was the first person I met here. She is funny, kind, smart, and always reminds me not to be so hard on myself. She would sit with me, talk with me, or play board games whenever I needed company. Ms. Kara has always been there for me through my ups and downs. She helped me when I was having trouble breathing and stayed with me when I needed help calming down. We would play Uno or she would read to me so I could relax. Ms. Ava is amazing. She always talks me through the hard days and reminds me not to believe the negative things I say about myself. Ms. Mina is so sweet. She always lets me talk about my day or whatever is on my mind, and she’s a really good artist. Ms. Avery is kind, caring, and always makes my day better. We play board games, listen to music, and talk about life. Ms. Jacy is so sweet and funny. We joke around, paint together, or just sit and talk. She has always been supportive. Jake is funny, kind, and caring. We joke around and play board games together. Jacob is funny and always talking about Wicked, which makes me laugh. Ms. Sarah is so sweet, smart, and caring. I recommend parents bring their child to CCSU if they need help. Everyone here is kind, caring, supportive, and truly wants the best for every client.
