Besides the scenic location and the beautiful, clean house, the staff are incredible. They're awesome. They are life savers. Chris Mills (therapist) sets the tone - he ensures that the atmosphere of recovery is maintained. Without that we would all just be 'doing time' there. He is the de facto spiritual leader and I thank God that I have had the oppurtunity to learn from his demonstration. Ashleigh (therapist) has extensive experience of staying clean no matter what and transforming her life into something beautiful. She radiates that. I wish we all would see Rich (administrator) more as he is a spiritual master. Incredibley accessible spiritual wisdom he has. He can make difficult concepts about recovery easily digestible. Chris J (head supervisor) can make even the most desperate addict smile and want to take recovery serious. You cant help but know he understands the worst of the worst and doesnt judge. He just wants us all to recover. The recovery coaches are personable, friendly and funny but also hold us accountable and guide us in our recovery through their own experience. Thank you Ethan, Roger, Dylan, Daryl, Ryan, Noah, Tony, Led, Hunter and Bryant. The medical staff are just as wonderful. Theyre part of the family you become when there. The therapists are probably the best part about the place, but all of the staff genuinely want to help you. It's in a very secluded place so it's nearly impossible to leave to use. Unlike most other places it's a big mansion with half the people upstairs and half downstairs. I stayed upstairs and the A/C was almost too good in the summer. It probably stayed 62 degrees up there. Had intensive group therapy multiple times a day, and it help me with all my issues. They had a full blown gym, and I made actual brothers there. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE. Sandra 3 months ago I want to say that this place has amazing caring staff that had took time to explain things to me about my son that over ten years nobody had ever took the time to just talk and really care. The director is amazing human with a heart filled with love and understanding. Her and the staffs goals was so clear. They want to be the place that any child no matter their issue just needs guidance that sometimes the school systems fail to do. So the first thing told to my autistic son was this is not a punishment. He had been having trouble making friends at school but he was comfortable he walked in and joined the other kids it was like in the first hour of being there he felt understood and I could see that his voice was going to be heard. Don't get me wrong my son has behavioral issues but I was told it wasn't is autism. The director helped me see what I had forgot bc of being told over and over my son was the problem. Please know that I read some reviews before getting there and was so nervous. But within the first twenty mins of being there I didn't feel so alone anymore. There is still ppl that cares and Turning Point is such a blessing. I thank you all for being such a help and helping me find my voice again so I can be my sons voice.
