The therapists are probably the best part about the place, but all of the staff genuinely want to help you. It's in a very secluded place so it's nearly impossible to leave to use. Unlike most other places it's a big mansion with half the people upstairs and half downstairs. I stayed upstairs and the A/C was almost too good in the summer. It probably stayed 62 degrees up there. Had intensive group therapy multiple times a day, and it help me with all my issues. They had a full blown gym, and I made actual brothers there. I would recommend this facility to ANYONE. The therapists are also something to not overlook, they go WAY above and beyond to educate what's really going on with our minds and body. I've been through 4 recovery centers, two in Kentucky one in California and then this one. This is the only one I can truly say that they take this lifestyle seriously and the presence of a higher power flows through every body in the house. I wouldn't recommend any other place. They helped me with my family too. They explained addiction in a way that my mother could understand and comprehend. They offered her resources for support. I learned a lot while I was there. I made the drive from Asheville, and although I was still hesitant, from the moment Shawn greeted me in the parking lot and checked me in, I knew I had picked the right place. There are no words for how well I was treated and how many tools that I left with to start rebuilding my life. Every staff member made me comfortable and treated me like family. The classes were so, so far from the lengthy, boring lectures that I had expected. I gained so much from each and every group leader and the group discussions with other clients, many of which turned into real friends . I originally had signed up for a detox, but quickly realized that I needed and WANTED to stay for the 21 day program, and am ever grateful that I did. Amazing and abundant food was an unexpected bonus as well. If you juggling locations to decide on for your recovery adventure, I cannot stress enough how good this one is. The staff and interns at all of the ARC (Addiction Recovery Care) facilities are some of the most amazing people I have ever met. They really do care and it shows. If you are struggling with addiction and have been to other rehabs where God was only mentioned in step 3, then I urge you to give it a chance. God really lives in that house and through the people there. Patience, open-mindedness and acceptance are just two of their MANY loving traits. I was in Elizabeth's room across the hall from Mary's room and beside Hannah's room which is adjacent to Sarah's room. I can’t say enough good things about this place so I’m just gonna say I’m so greatful for everything they have done for my daughter. They listen to me, don’t judge, and really care. And If I miss an appointment without calling, they call to check on me and make sure I’m okay. That speaks for itself. I could not find a listing for him on Google to leave him a personal review, so I will leave it here. I was told by Simple Dental that my teeth could not be filled. I was refered to someone in Newport for expensive restorative surgery. That was around 10 years ago. Here I am after all that time with my teeth worse than they were. I got in to see Dr Jordan and he said that filling my teeth was not a problem. He has filled 2 of my teeth without any issues. What a lifesaver! I hate that I listened to Simple Dental and let my teeth go for that long, thinking they were beyond filling. I always thought it was odd, but figured they knew what they were doing. Thanks to Dr Jordan I am pain free again and have my teeth filled. He and the entire staff are wonderful! I recommend them highly! They are also much less expensive than the other place and thats 10 years later. Save yourself some grief, money and pain. See Dr Jordan. He is a real dentist, just like I remember as a child.
