I have been going to the adult center since 2003. I have always received top notch care. The staff in the back is always 100% committed to helping me live my life to the fullest even though I struggle with a mental diagnosis. I have seen several different people over the years and I can say every one was thorough and listened to my input about what worked and didn’t work for me in medications. Times when I was uninsured they immediately got me enrolled in a safety net program which makes my meds 3.00. Only negative is having to come in face to face every 3 months bc I am bad about keeping appointments. Nurses line always answers questions the same day and will call until they reach me.

I was here over the weekend and it was one of the best decisions of my life. The staff are incredibly friendly and work diligently to help patients. As a parent, I wanted to share my experience after my son recently completed a 5-month stay and successfully completed the program. Staff (Therapists/Nurses): Overall, I’m very pleased with the support and care my son received. The staff seemed genuinely invested in his well-being, and I could see the positive impact their work had on him over time. Areas for Improvement: My main concern as a parent was the inconsistency of our weekly family sessions, which were often rescheduled or delayed- this was due to his therapist being very busy and having heavy caseloads, which leads me to believe the facility might be understaffed or stretched too thin. Regardless of the reason, it sometimes felt like our time wasn’t prioritized or valued. I also had some concerns about cleanliness and safety within the Village, based on my son’s feedback about the showers not being cleaned regularly and the unpredictable behavior of some of the other residents. Despite these issues, I believe the program as a whole helped my son make real progress, and I’m grateful for the staff who cared about his growth and recovery.

I have been going here I think 4 years now. Consistent. I love Diana!! She has helped me grow emotionally and mentally. She is such a great therapist. Her knowledge and patience has helped me step back and examine how I do things. I’ve hit rock bottom a few times and she has helped me learn and grow from those falls. I’m a stronger person because of her listening and teaching skills. You have to want to get better and put in the work. The therapists are not magic. They can’t heal you. If you don’t put in the work- you can’t get better. So make sure you are determined to conquer your disease. You can do it. If I can crawl out of the deep pits- you can too. You have to hold on to their words and use the skills they teach you. Be willing to grow. She listens and cares deeply about her guests. I am part of a group therapy also and it’s incredible. Our instructor Angie is amazing. What a beautiful teacher.

I’ve been going here for 3 years now. The staff makes me feel welcomed. That’s important to me because mental health still has this stigma behind it. Everyone I have encountered at this office has been helpful in more ways than one. They listen and work with you no matter the circumstances. Please keep in mind it does take time to see results of medication and psychotherapy. Anyway, thank you to this office for being a part of bettering my life!

My Children attend the Helen Ross McNabb Center for Behavioral/Mental Health Services. We are very pleased with the work from Therapist, Kaitlyn, Care Manager, Kreistyn and also from the friendly professionalism of Front Desk Receptionist, Luisa. The Staff is always very accommodating to our school schedules and does their very best to see our Children as often as needed. Since the initial intakes for each Child, this office has been consistently caring and honest in the services that they offer. The Crisis Stabilization Unit literally saved my life. I walked in broken and defeated and left feeling hopeful for the first time in years. I don't know where they found all the wonderful people who work there but I'm glad I met every single one of them. If you're struggling with an addiction or find yourself in a mental health crisis and fear is keeping you from taking the big step through the doors of a facility like that, please know that you will be met with nothing but love, kindness, patience and genuine concern that you get better. My higher power and reason to stay sober is that I wouldn't want any of their efforts to have been a waste and, even though they'd never know if I drank again, the thought of disappointing any of the people who helped me get sober is reason enough to never back-slide.

this place disregarded my needs completely. i was taken back just to “talk” then they told me i was not aloud to see my parents again. the night staff continued to hold up pictures and articles of past patients and mock them for their behavior while in turning points care and laugh at their misfortunes. before stepping foot in turning points, my parents called twice and let them know i had pneumonia to make sure my visit was ok. after i was forced to stay in turning points care, i asked the nurse for my medicine. she said i missed the rounds for medicine (which i did not know about as i just got there and i was speaking to a doctor at the time medications were given out. also, the nurse should have some responsibility and incentive to make sure all patients received their medications before closing shop. so the nurse refused me my medicines which i could not sleep without since breathing was difficult and i had a severe cough. i had to phone my father and only after an unfortunate phone call with him did the nurse come and ask me what medications i needed. then when i asked, the nurse laughed in my face and rolled her eyes. this place is terribly unprofessional and i did not trust a single staff member to care for me or my needs. i felt like a burden, alone, and neglected.

This facility is very thorough and I like to say they do things by the book!! As does my counselor!!! I have finally in 20 years made it to the top and I only have to go once a month now. Of course I owe most of this to myself and finally trying and doing things right letting the system work like it's supposed to but credit is owed or credit is due and if it wasn't for my counselor being as amazing as she is I have doubts that I would be where I'm at right now at this point in my life!!! Candice my family and I would like to thank you for everything you have done for me and how you have helped me change into the man that I am today the man I'm supposed to be.

Employees at the front are very friendly. Doctors are the best. All tests are on the portal to see. I can't believe anyone is having trouble at this clinic. And most of it is free or at reduced cost on meds. You have to have an IQ higher than room temperature to use the portal.

Volunteer Behavioral Health’s Cleveland Campus is a nonprofit mental health and drug rehab center. Their intensive outpatient programs (IOP), general outpatient programs (OP), and co-occurring disorder treatment are open to clients of all ages. You’ll find ‘em in Cleveland, Tennessee. IOP gives clients a high level of care in a day treatment
The amount of people complaining about wait times baffle me. We do not have many resources in Cleveland for mental help so they are under staffed and no a big facility. I agree with some of the comments about some of the workers but I have met also some of the most amazing people iv ever met with special hearts! Taking care of my mental was a big step this year for me. Hiwassee made me feel safe to do so and my care managers and therapist are god sent. And I don’t know if yall are complaining about the two ladies up front now but they are always so sweet and caring and try finding a plan if I need help. As far as resources at the end of every meeting I have they ask if I need any and if I need help with living somewhere. Dont let the negative comments bring you down! Make the decision for your family, kids, friends. Your life matters

My intake interview was via telehealth and it was a lovely experience. Lydia Wilson.Wilson is kind, patient and knowledgeable. The center gives you the choice between having an in person or online therapist, and also a choice between male and female. I’m looking forward to my first therapy appointment today. I have a good gut feeling about it. First appointment was really easy to make, the second one was stranger - the appointment setter was quiet for minutes at a time without any explanation. However, I decided this is too important for me to act like an entitled brat, so I was patient and got an appointment for the day and the time of day I need it.

I graduated their long term rehab 3 plus years ago. So grateful for First to be there. I learned there, it was up to me. Not them. A safe area to gather and use all the tools they had for a very good outcome in sobriety and a grateful life. I kept in between the lines they presented me. Knew I was there to learn and grow and it was up to me ( not them, or anyone for that matter ), to grow. To learn. To be the me I truly wanted. Having First as my final page in rehab, after two long term others, I came out knowing I had done this for me and my appreciation and gratitude for THEM To be there is a daily thought, thanks and gratitude. I quit blaming. I began being. THANKS AGAIN MY FRIENDS AT FIRST !!! JACK L.

First @ Blue Ridge saved and changed my life! All my house managers loved me til I was able to love myself again. I was a peer leader and an auxiliary house manager during my time as a client. I graduated Feb 15, 2024 and I couldn’t have done it without all the love and support from all the staff as well as the ladies that were on my journey with me! Some of those bonds I’ll cherish forever. It’s really a great program, it works if you work it!
