About Maryhaven Womens Care on Noe Bixby

Maryhaven Women’s Care on Noe Bixby, located in Columbus, Ohio, provides dedicated programs to women who are struggling with drug addiction and mental health issues. This non-profit drug rehab facility offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient services.

Located in Columbus, Ohio and surrounded by trees and green spaces, but still close to amenities like shopping and medical care, you’ll find MaryHaven Women’s Center. Designed to support adult women, they provide mental healthcare and addiction treatment in a family friendly residential setting. All adult women are welcome, whether they’re pregnant or already mothers.
Their Family Recovery Housing and Extended Care Programs have supported countless women. Mothers can live with their children while focusing on becoming self sufficient and substance free. Pregnant women have a safe, stable place to prepare for motherhood. The program includes evidence based addiction treatment as well as helping women find jobs, continue their education, and secure stable housing.
For many women, addiction can lead to separation from their families. Sometimes relationships are strained and sometimes women lose custody of their kids. Rebuilding family connection is a huge part of recovery and help is available here to reunite women with their loved ones. They offer parenting classes and childcare to help rebuild relationships.
They offer a lot of resources to pregnant women through their Stable Cradle program. Created in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, this program provides personalized care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. One thing that stood out to me is that services are available in both English and Spanish.
Maryhaven understands that recovery doesn’t end with treatment. Through partnerships with community organizations, they connect women to resources like 12 step groups and housing. Maryhaven aims to give women every chance for long term recovery and independence.

The place in alum Creek is a joke. This place is like a homeless center. This is the only one in Columbus now. They are over crowded and understaffed with limited resources. Their staff is doing jobs they are not qualified to do. The staff sits around on their phones and doesn't listen to the licenced medical workers. They don't care or give proper treatment to people. The facility is way out dated. It's not a clean place and has a bad smell. They don't have anything to help people there like meetings or something to keep you occupied. You are taken to basically a jail cell with tons of people and left there. They will not come back to anyone who misses when treatment is available. Their treatment is over the counter stuff you can get anywhere and does nothing to help with detox or withdrawal. This place needs shut down for good. They no longer care about anything, it's like they only show up to get a paycheck.

Accepted Insurance

Maryhaven Womens Care on Noe Bixby works with several private insurance providers and also accepts private payments when possible, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

outpatient iconOutpatient

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

intensive-outpatient iconIntensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

aftercare iconAftercare Support

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

inpatient iconInpatient

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

medically-assisted-detox iconMedically Assisted Detox

Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

An alcohol use disorder (AUD), also commonly called alcoholism, can range from mild to severe. It involves compulsive consumption of alcohol and maladaptive patterns of drinking that lead to negative physical, social, and relational consequences. Diverse treatment programs are available for people with AUD. Mutual-support groups, medications, and behavioral treatments are provided through alcohol rehab in Ohio. If co-occurring disorders are present, it is important to receive treatment for both disorders.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Programs

program-for-women thumbnail image

Program For Women

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Ohio may occur in individual, group, or family sessions. It involves focusing on specific thought and behavior problems. Participants learn coping techniques and are asked to practice them as homework between sessions.

Therapists who apply motivational interviewing in Ohio don't try to confront clients or force advice onto them. Instead, they listen and come alongside clients to help them explore why and how they might decide to make changes for themselves.

Participants of group therapy sessions typically learn coping skills, communication techniques, and relapse prevention strategies. This unique set of skills helps you to navigate the challenges you find in the community and supports your long term sobriety.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment gives you a safe space to discuss your emotional, mental, and physical challenges. Your therapist will guide and support you as you collaborate to develop personalized strategies to manage your stress and navigate the challenges of your recovery.

My son showed up there for help detoxing from alcohol, as he was experiencing terrible withdrawal. He was turned away, and was told to go to the hospital. I called the facility to get contact information for the Director, Matt Grafton, to make him aware of the situation, and gain some understanding regarding their reasoning for turning him away. They provided his contact email, but when I attempted to send him an email, he had blocked me from contacting him. They are known for taking heroine addicts to get them clean and lower their tolerance, so they can go right back out and use again. When they have someone who genuinely needs help to get sober, they turn him away. This place is so unprofessional!

Willie in residential south is a hateful lazy person. He called me out of my name twice. Called me a B**** while i was walking down the hall. Someone like willie doesnt need to be working atound people trying to save their lives. He was the only reason that 2 people left. He is VERY disrespectful and only complains the minimal time he is there.
