About Maryhaven Womens Care on Noe Bixby

Maryhaven Women’s Care on Noe Bixby, located in Columbus, Ohio, provides dedicated programs to women who are struggling with drug addiction and mental health issues. This non-profit drug rehab facility offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT), detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient services.

Located in Columbus, Ohio and surrounded by trees and green spaces, but still close to amenities like shopping and medical care, you’ll find MaryHaven Women’s Center. Designed to support adult women, they provide mental healthcare and addiction treatment in a family friendly residential setting. All adult women are welcome, whether they’re pregnant or already mothers.
Their Family Recovery Housing and Extended Care Programs have supported countless women. Mothers can live with their children while focusing on becoming self sufficient and substance free. Pregnant women have a safe, stable place to prepare for motherhood. The program includes evidence based addiction treatment as well as helping women find jobs, continue their education, and secure stable housing.
For many women, addiction can lead to separation from their families. Sometimes relationships are strained and sometimes women lose custody of their kids. Rebuilding family connection is a huge part of recovery and help is available here to reunite women with their loved ones. They offer parenting classes and childcare to help rebuild relationships.
They offer a lot of resources to pregnant women through their Stable Cradle program. Created in partnership with The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, this program provides personalized care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. One thing that stood out to me is that services are available in both English and Spanish.
Maryhaven understands that recovery doesn’t end with treatment. Through partnerships with community organizations, they connect women to resources like 12 step groups and housing. Maryhaven aims to give women every chance for long term recovery and independence.

What kind of place doesn't call 911 when theyre asked by someone clearly exhibiting a mental breakdown and physical health symptoms? They kicked my gf out for falling asleep. She falls asleep as a direct result of the psyc medicine shes being given. Her PCP said if she was on the same meds she'd sleep for two days. How did your doctor not know that? Its literally printed on the side of the pill bottles. Speaking of, you never told her I brought the medication and never gave it back to her when you kicked her out. Shes on disability for severe mental illness and you penalized her for it then kept her medicine. I tried to get it back and they said I need a release from her. Despite me having their recept for being the one who droped the medicine off. Now she has no medication and has become so paranoid she doesnt want it back bc she thinks they tampered with it. She came out of there with her whole body swollen. She said started falling down again and dropping drinks. Shes been hospitalized for cardiovascular problems at both Mt Carmel and Ohio Health. Her counselor called an ambulance when she fell out of a chair and was knocked unconscious. You ignored a preexisting medical condition and then refused to call for help. She was at Mt Carmel Behavioral Health for less than a day when they were alarmed and notified me of the same symptoms you both ignored and penalized her for. Ill be contacting OhioMHAS and ADAMH Board of Franklin county to file complaints. This type of treatment should be criminal and I will find out if it is. Mental health and substance abuse are two sides of the same coin. You penalize them for one while claiming to help them with the other? Where's the logic in that? All the while accepting medicaid and medicare funds to do it. To whoever didnt call the ambulance for her I hope you know how sincere Im being when I say this: I hope one day you need an ambulance and no one calls for you. Instead, they watch you suffer and cry. Sounds heartless right? Thats exactly what you did to her. This isnt the end, this is the beginning.

Accepted Insurance

Please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Maryhaven Womens Care on Noe Bixby works with several private insurance providers, please contact to verify your specific insurance provider.

Other Forms of Payment

Medicaid is a state based program that helps lower-income individuals and families pay for healthcare. Medicaid covers addiction treatment so those enrolled can use their coverage to pay for rehab. When a program accepts Medicaid the client often pays very little or nothing out of their own pocket.

Medicare is a federal program that provides health insurance for those 65 and older. It also serves people under 65 with chronic and disabling health challenges. To use Medicare for addiction treatment you need to find a program that accepts Medicare and is in network with your plan. Out of pocket costs and preauthorization requirements vary, so always check with your provider.

Private insurance refers to any kind of healthcare coverage that isn't from the state or federal government. This includes individual and family plans offered by an employer or purchased from the Insurance Marketplace. Every plan will have different requirements and out of pocket costs so be sure to get the full details before you start treatment.

Self-pay involves paying for treatment out of your own pocket. You can use savings or credit, get a personal loan, or receive help from family and friends to fund your treatment. If you don't have insurance or your insurance plan doesn't cover a specific program, self-pay can help ensure you still get the care you need.

Addiction Treatments

Levels of Care

Outpatient Programs (OP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between outpatient treatment (OP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility. Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.

Intensive Outpatient programs are for those who want or need a very structured treatment program but who also wish to live at home and continue with certain responsibilities (such as work or school). IOP substance abuse treatment programs vary in duration and intensity, and certain outpatient rehab centers will offer individualized treatment programs. The Intensive Outpatient Program gives patients the chance to participate in a structured treatment plan part-time while they transition back to home and work or other responsibilities.

Completing a drug or alcohol rehab program shouldn't spell the end of substance abuse treatment. Aftercare involves making a sustainable plan for recovery, including ongoing support. This can include sober living arrangements like halfway houses, career counseling, and setting a patient up with community programs like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA).

Residential treatment programs are those that offer housing and meals in addition to substance abuse treatment. Rehab facilities that offer residential treatment allow patients to focus solely on recovery, in an environment totally separate from their lives. Some rehab centers specialize in short-term residential treatment (a few days to a week or two), while others solely provide treatment on a long-term basis (several weeks to months). Some offer both, and tailor treatment to the patient's individual requirements.

Medical detox involves clearing your body of drugs and/or alcohol under the 24/7 care of licensed medical professionals. If you've become dependent on alcohol or drugs (like benzodiazepines or opioids), quitting abruptly can have uncomfortable and even dangerous side effects. The purpose of medically assisted detox is to keep you as safe and comfortable as possible during this process. Medications like Suboxone or Vivitrol may be provided if necessary to mitigate any withdrawal symptoms.

Treatments

An alcohol use disorder (AUD), also commonly called alcoholism, can range from mild to severe. It involves compulsive consumption of alcohol and maladaptive patterns of drinking that lead to negative physical, social, and relational consequences. Diverse treatment programs are available for people with AUD. Mutual-support groups, medications, and behavioral treatments are provided through alcohol rehab in Ohio. If co-occurring disorders are present, it is important to receive treatment for both disorders.

opium iconOpioid Addiction

Drug rehab in Ohio provides comprehensive treatment to address the physical and psychological needs of those struggling with substance use disorders. This may involve inpatient and/or outpatient care.

Programs

Rehabs for women provide a safe, nurturing space for female clients to heal. These treatment programs consider the specific obstacles that women can face during recovery and place a special emphasis on mental, social, physical, and reproductive health. They explore how each woman's experience has shaped the trajectory of their substance use, addressing issues such as sexual abuse and past trauma.

Clinical Services

Cognitive behavioral therapy in Ohio may occur in individual, group, or family sessions. It involves focusing on specific thought and behavior problems. Participants learn coping techniques and are asked to practice them as homework between sessions.

Therapists who apply motivational interviewing in Ohio don't try to confront clients or force advice onto them. Instead, they listen and come alongside clients to help them explore why and how they might decide to make changes for themselves.

Participants of group therapy sessions typically learn coping skills, communication techniques, and relapse prevention strategies. This unique set of skills helps you to navigate the challenges you find in the community and supports your long term sobriety.

Individual therapy for drug and alcohol addiction treatment gives you a safe space to discuss your emotional, mental, and physical challenges. Your therapist will guide and support you as you collaborate to develop personalized strategies to manage your stress and navigate the challenges of your recovery.
