Springfield, MO | BHG Springfield Treatment Center provides outpatient addiction recovery services in Springfield, Missouri. They accept Medicare and Medicaid. Self pay options are available. Their programs are designed for adults only. Staff at BHG create Individualized treatment plans to help you meet your short and long term goals. Medication assisted treatment c | Treatments Programs Payment Options | BHG Springfield has had its ups and downs the past year and a half I’ve been there. Recently, I’ve seen a significant improvement. For a while, it was an hour-two hour wait for dosing, which was tough with a job. But it’s been much smoother recently. I’ve always enjoyed the staff throughout my entire time as a patient. The golden rule has honestly been my moral compass in life, I believe it makes a world of a difference.
I have a wonderful, empathetic counselor (all of them have been wonderful to me) and the nurses are sweet. The newer front desk lady has also been AMAZING too. There’s been a new director and she’s been nothing short of being lovely to me!. Prior to our new director, I had no idea who the director was, lol! It’s always nice for the team to know my name, despite the many patients that come for treatment. I don’t expect it, ever, but it’s just a simple act of kindness that is rare in my day to day.
I used to dread coming here (mostly for the long wait and the discussions openly held in the waiting lobby, but I’ve learned to tune it out) but I haven’t had an issue recently.
I will say I wish they took private health insurance— I pay out of pocket and it’s a dent, but that’s the price I signed up for my treatment. I have continued to live a happy and healthy life while on medicated assisted treatment. It’s allowed me to build my life while staying stable after a decade of OUD. In year one for a few months I was on a grant, which was a life saver, thanks to my counselor!! I don’t think grants are offered anymore, but I could be wrong.
I can’t thank BHG South enough for giving me stability back into my life.

First initial visit today,

Great place to get sober and stay off the streets. The only issue I have with the BHG here in springfield is the over pricing for treatment. I came from a bhg in okc and it is144 cheaper than here. Someone is taking advantage of people here. And in okc you have the option to either dose the pill form or the liquid. Sooo hmmm 🤔 but I don't think it's from the clinic itself. I believe the state of missouri has their hand in the cookie jar!

In hospital staff was excellent only once did we have a problem. The nurse didn't dress his wound just wrapped gauze around it after doc visited to check wound. This gauze wrap stayed that way on evening and night shift. Day shift hadn't looked at it when I got there so I dressed the wound myself. Also his urinal had spilled on night shift and the nurse said she would call housekeeper but no one ever come to clean a towel was laid over it. But they have been great all the other times. In fact they have saved his life twice. I have been a patient most recently during New Years 2025. They did try to send me home and I told them I am not ready. I kept dropping 02. I did the walk test and thought I was going to pass out. Therapist said no my 02 level dropped on exertion. I did go home the next day. Diagnosed with CHF and COPD. But test showed common cold. Care was excellent but to rushed to discharge. Now my true complaint. The ER doctor is the rudest worst bedside manner I have ever encountered. I was sick and went to ER before my admission. Was there 7 hours with no one telling me what they even thought. I finally asked nurse to take needle out because I was leaving. He said wait I will get doctor to come talk to you. 30 minutes later I left took IV out myself. The next week I need back in ER. I couldn't get my breath. I think I had a mild heart attack on Sunday. But wouldn't go because I was afraid I get same doc and the chest pain eased then went away. On Monday morning went to ER. Same doctor. I asked for nurse practitioner. She admitted me. At home my 02 was high 50s to low 60s not sure at ER. I was to sick to care and confused. I am not sure of ER doctor name. Nurse told me he was really smart but I am telling you no beside manner and I am not sure he cares. Doesn't listen to patient. We travel a long way to get medical care. Doctors are great, my husband goes to wound center and they are awesome. This would be the perfect hospital if you changed ER practices. Things happen we are all human. I am an old nurse and worked administration in long term care as administrator for 40 yrs. I understand. But I hate going to this ER and don't want to be in any other hospital. Please fix. I kept waiting for someone to call about why I left er no one called. And today stumbled on this site. While looking for dermatologist connected to BJC. I see I am not the only one that has had ER problems. A once was told he was medical director of ER. I don't know.

Springfield, MO | Recovery Chapel of Springfield, Missouri is a church and a ministry for people in addiction recovery. Recovery Chapel began in 2004 by a Chaplain who had just reached his 20-year sobriety anniversary. Today, they have 7 location | Treatments Programs | In 2012, at the age of 55 I was in a car wreck in which a local small town policeman ran a red light with no lights or siren and collided with my 2003 Mustang, resulting in my vehicle being completely totaled. I am not a street person, I have a bachelors degree in Business/Marketing and a teaching certification. For several years I had been a grocery merchandiser traveling around southwest Missouri calling on Walmart stores to build displays, put up advertising and just do various forms of merchandising within the stores, earning about $13 an hour. I only had liability insurance on my car and the insurance company for this small town refused to pay for my vehicle. Thus I lost my job, I was unemployed, unable to pay my rent and in the meantime I became completely bankrupt. As I had to have a car to do my job and I could not find any work where I could take the bus. I was bankrupt and unable to pay my rent and full of fear as to where I was going to end up.Many well educated, good people find themselves homeless due to misfortune and not necessarily . I had heard of Recovery Chapel, and being in recovery myself, I called Farris Robertson and he explained their program to me. How I could become a resident of RC for about $400 a month, including meals and receive Spiritual Guidance, and group support through group studies and individual counseling with Mr. Robertson and other volunteers that came in to deliver a message of hope. If you have ever found yourself totally helpless, financially destitute and with no idea where to turn, then RC is truly a God send. Many good men and women find themselves homeless, jobless and with no place to go, through no real fault of their own. I was not drinking or using drugs, I just got myself into a hopeless situation I had gone through a double bypass in 2009 so I was already struggling financially. I did have another heart attack in 2012 while living at RC and the staff and my friends helped me tremendously after I had 4 more stints put in my heart. At RC along with the encouragement, housing and food I received I also got some assistance in renting a car so I could again get a merchandising job. As I sit here in my own apartment (self sufficient through Christ) in southeast Springfield, with a nice dependable car in the parking lot, and a great part time job with CROSSMARK merchandising, it is hard to imagine that my life has been restored, or better yet, not just restored but renewed and I live a better quality life than I have since my 30's and I owe it all to God, Recovery Chapel, Farris Robertson, Terry St. Clair and then rest of the staff and the board of directors. Missouri is ranked 29th nationwide in terms of addiction treatment affordability, with an average cost of addiction treatment of $56,782.
The costs of drug and alcohol rehab in Missouri vary widely and depend on several factors, including:
The costs of addiction treatment listed for cities and states are averages based on the cost of the treatment types listed above. These averages are high due to the cost of medical detoxification and residential inpatient rehab programs.
These numbers also reflect the raw cost of drug rehab, before any insurance coverage. The typical individual seeking addiction treatment can expect to pay much less for outpatient or intensive outpatient services than the averages listed below.
There are many ways to pay for drug rehab in Missouri. Most treatment centers accept cash or self-payment, as well as private health insurance. However, there are many treatment centers in Missouri that accept Medicaid and Medicare, or offer sliding scale payments or other low-cost payment options.
