UPDATE SINCE BELOW REVIEW: I went into office again today and Kim took great care of us. Found out case worker had been on vacation. New Peer worker called immediately and made arrangements. Thank you. It is encouraging now. I give Derrick the assessor 5.0, but after the assessment we were told my son would be contacted within 24 hrs. 24 hours no contact, next day no contact. I've gone in office to inquire, told case worker would call. 2 additional phone calls...still no help. My son was so encouraged during accessment. Now I have to tell him no one there cares!! Btw...also left voice mail on case worker's phone...still nothing.

The mental health department was a smooth process from the assessment, to the psych appointment, to the receptionists & therapist. Thank you

The staff was very nice, concern and very helpful. All the staff treat me very well all of them are very friendly . My counselor is not only great in helping me with my mental needs he also is good to help me in my battle with my weight.

My Experience at Perimeter Behavioral Health Working at Perimeter Behavioral Health has been an incredibly rewarding experience. While it's true that the nature of our work often calls for overtime, the feeling of looking at my check and knowing the impact I'm making makes every extra hour absolutely worth it. The company has implemented many positive changes, especially when it comes to bonus incentives, which are a true motivator and show that our hard work is genuinely appreciated. The relationships among staff here are fantastic; we truly operate as a cohesive team, supporting each other and fostering a collaborative environment. One of the things I love most is that every day is different. This keeps the work engaging and ensures we're constantly learning and adapting. But the absolute highlight, the reason I'm truly here, is the kids. They are amazing to work with, and building genuine relationships with them is at the core of what I do. These kids profoundly need our help and deserve all the love and support we can give. It's incredibly fulfilling to be a part of their journey toward healing and growth.

This out patient class provides in depth information into behaviors that you can use for a successful ongoing lifestyle of recovery. Lisa is highly qualified and very knowledgeable in this field listen keep a open mind and give it your all because if your here in the first place you need to take in all you can because your life depends upon your willingness to grasp your situation truthfully. These people here care probably more about you than you do about yourself. Michelle and Lisa care about your success in recovery and put alot of effort into filling you with the tools you’ll need to get back on your feet and live a healthy lifestyle. These ladies lead by example. Thank you for all you do to help make the community safer for everyone.

I think everyone goes into this experience with somewhat of a sour attitude. I have to say, Lisa, Michelle and Amy are such wonderful individuals. I could not be more grateful for the experience I had. I learned a lot about myself and the awareness of alcohol and drug use. It has definitely opened my eyes in such a positive way. If for any reason you find yourself in need of their services I would highly recommend them to fulfill your court ordered classes! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you. 😊

I am so grateful to all of the staff at ROS, they literally made the biggest effort, I will forever be grateful for each and every person there that was part of my early recovery, As of today I have continued my sobriety for over a year and I pray that I never have to live the way I did ever again.

The environment surrounding this place is filled with positive and happy energy, this place is very different from other recovery centers.

In 2012, at the age of 55 I was in a car wreck in which a local small town policeman ran a red light with no lights or siren and collided with my 2003 Mustang, resulting in my vehicle being completely totaled. I am not a street person, I have a bachelors degree in Business/Marketing and a teaching certification. For several years I had been a grocery merchandiser traveling around southwest Missouri calling on Walmart stores to build displays, put up advertising and just do various forms of merchandising within the stores, earning about $13 an hour. I only had liability insurance on my car and the insurance company for this small town refused to pay for my vehicle. Thus I lost my job, I was unemployed, unable to pay my rent and in the meantime I became completely bankrupt. As I had to have a car to do my job and I could not find any work where I could take the bus. I was bankrupt and unable to pay my rent and full of fear as to where I was going to end up.Many well educated, good people find themselves homeless due to misfortune and not necessarily . I had heard of Recovery Chapel, and being in recovery myself, I called Farris Robertson and he explained their program to me. How I could become a resident of RC for about $400 a month, including meals and receive Spiritual Guidance, and group support through group studies and individual counseling with Mr. Robertson and other volunteers that came in to deliver a message of hope. If you have ever found yourself totally helpless, financially destitute and with no idea where to turn, then RC is truly a God send. Many good men and women find themselves homeless, jobless and with no place to go, through no real fault of their own. I was not drinking or using drugs, I just got myself into a hopeless situation I had gone through a double bypass in 2009 so I was already struggling financially. I did have another heart attack in 2012 while living at RC and the staff and my friends helped me tremendously after I had 4 more stints put in my heart. At RC along with the encouragement, housing and food I received I also got some assistance in renting a car so I could again get a merchandising job. As I sit here in my own apartment (self sufficient through Christ) in southeast Springfield, with a nice dependable car in the parking lot, and a great part time job with CROSSMARK merchandising, it is hard to imagine that my life has been restored, or better yet, not just restored but renewed and I live a better quality life than I have since my 30's and I owe it all to God, Recovery Chapel, Farris Robertson, Terry St. Clair and then rest of the staff and the board of directors. Philippians 4:13 paraphrased; "All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me".

Although this place does not have fun group stuff to do and is cheap (What do expect from government funding?), I truly felt like the staff genuinely cared about my well-being . Yes I was freezing and couldn't sleep (that's the withdrawals), but I was treated with so much respect and care by the staff on duty. I felt so safe and cared for. The fact that these people probably don't get paid enough to care about me, and that the funds are low, they STILL work here because they truly care about the people who need their help. Detox is not fun. But at least people care enough to put in the effort to help you and give you tools you need for your mental well being. Kudos to the staff this weekend I am truly grateful for your love, kindness, and support. Faith in humanity. - Courtney
